Update - quick fix towels

I forgot to disable the diagonal function of quick fix towels. If you try to place them on diagonal wall, they would convert into a diagonal curtain. The files are now fixed, you can download them again from this page.

Wonderful meshes from Grizzelda

OMG, can I say I'm so glad Grizzelda's there for skinners like me to get exactly the meshes they've been praying for ?? Grizzy, you just roooooock !

I'm thus currently working on skins based on her supra brilliant meshes for adults and young adults (mesh_lcmtunicslacks and mesh_lcmsexyslacks) and I'm getting inspired ;-)

Well let's hope my work will be just as great as the meshes are...

WRONG MESH LINK

If you downloaded the Honeydew pants and the Candystripe pants from the Mix & Match Set before midnight (US/Eastern time) on Feb. 15--and they aren't working for you, it's because I linked them to the wrong mesh. I use Grizzelda's meshes so often that I linked them to her without thinking. I actually used a mesh by ChazDesigns--the lowrider pants mesh--item #250146. I'm sorry for any inconvenience I caused anyone (especially Cyncla, Chynableu, and Kat!). Thanks to Grizzelda for helping me figure out my mistake.

Tanya's Diner

Well I've had a lot of request to reupload Tanya's Diner and I see Kath, who is such a great person & I adore her, is doing that now, I figured why n ot try a Tanya's Diner for Sims2? Perhaps this time I should change the name though since it won't exactly be the same but it will be similar minus the car though! Sorry about that but that model belongs to someone else and there is nothing appropriate in the game itself to match! so I will start working on that this week and hopefully have it done soon!

In the meantime I see my doctor on Monday to find out when I start the next ivf treatment.

Blank Mind

Two blog updates in a month, I must really be getting the hang of it.Not that I got anything sensible or interesting to say.Other's blogs seem to flow nicely and are even an interesting read.Mine, just makes my mind go blank.I am Back into my skinning mood again,lingerie mostly,I always drift back into that,when I want to get lost in detail.
I really am so grateful to Grizzelda for creating babydoll mesh,she's a real star....back to creating!

Went A Little Crazy!!!!

ok.

So I went a little crazy with the latest Around the Sims living room set. Like most of you I became addicted to Sims 1 - and in turn got into some of the sets Sandy made for this on Around the Sims - so I was thrilled to find out she can mesh AND that she is doing redo's of her sims 1 sets for sims 2. The thousands of items I had for Sims 1 seemed to come from her site lol!

Please, if you can, donate to Around the Sims as well as Sims Resource - Sandy does such an amazing job and I for one want her to keep on meshing.

Work in progress - recolorable plastic hedges

With the release of the new SimPe I was able to recreate my plastic hedges to make them recolorable. Will publish the new set in a few days. The set will have improved meshes, additional recolors and also plastic ivy. The hedge meshes will overwrite the ones I published before.

Lumina

Here's a little preview of what I'm working on right now. All I have to do now is the SimPE part, and the testing. First off, here's my inspiration, the Lumina Collection from www.furniture.com: And here are my versions. The previews are from MilkShape. Bed: Bedskirt: Armoire: Dresser: End Table: And I forgot the mirror: As with all of my bedroom sets, I'm sure there'll be plenty of beddings and rugs made, as well as several wood choices. I hope you'll like it! Hopefully it will be up for download by the end of the week. :)

WaterLily

My new set recolor, "WaterLily" is scheduled for release on March 16, 2006. This is the last recolor planned of my "Asian Inspired" set.

I am currently working on a Victorian bathroom set. Yes, I said bathroom! This is my first bathroom...it's quite a learning experience. So far, I've created a Victorian sink, bathtub,
high-tank toilet, shelves, clothes hamper, and several
decorative objects.

I took over as sole owner of my business. I can see this is going to be another success story.

Another Recolor!

Yes, I've decided to create another recolor of my "Asian Inspired" set. While working very hard on a new set (which is NOT another bedroom) for this month's upcoming FA's theme, I was inspired...check-out the previews for my upcoming set, "WaterLily."

Advertising Appliances

After more than 2 weeks playing OFB, I found that I love it so�much!! Basically, everything in this expansion are great, but I love the crafted items the best, especially the robots... they are just cool!! �I made some advertising appliances for those crafted items, you can find them at my downloads page �soon. Three sets had been uploaded today, one painting set for crafted flowers, one painting set for crafted toys, and one light set for robots. They also suitable for other goods, feel free to recolor them if you like to! �Just drop me an notice by PM.

Coming soon - Victorian hair

I just completed a new hair mesh, a simple Victorian inspired hair for women all ages. Personally, I do like meshes that work for all ages, so I tried to make my own hair the same way. The set will be published during theme week.

Place Custom items on OFB Shelfs

Recently I was frequently asked that am I going to modify my stuff in order to put them on the OFB shelf...

Before I got time to do that I would like to suggest you go download and install one single patch (Custom-objects-placeable-on-shelves) created by Numenor, it would let you place ALL CUSTOM ITEMS on OFB shelfs instead of modding any exist custom item.

Dead money...

Cows have not been the tycoon success I thought they would be. We (my Sims and I) didn't make THAT much money really (well, I landed in $35,000 debt and a business rating of -2, but we don't need to dwell on this).

So I need to look for something a little more income-assured... And it struck me today (when fondly recalling my last Sims-murder) that ALL Sims must come to an end. So surely they will want that time to be the most adorned, peaceful and beautiful time, won't they? WON'T THEY?!!

Babydress

I got a pm a week ago from a nice person asking about the babydress. She asked if it could bee true that it was the wrong dress upploaded. She has got a yellow dress but the dress had over 7000 downloads so was she wrong? I upploaded this dress ages ago, when we only had bodyshop, before the game came out and she was the first to notice :) . The original was gone so I tried to remake it as good as I could. Sims 1

I have had a lot of request lately for Sims1 "Unleashed" pets. I'm so sorry to have to let alot of Sims1 pet lovers down, but do to the lack of hard-drive space on my computer, to support both Sims1 and Sims2 and all the expansion packs, I had to make the tough decision to un-install Sims1. As a devoted pet owner myself, I loved creating pets for Sims1, even though the limitation to the different breeds was great. Creating a breed like a dachshund was virtually impossible, because the body structure of the pets are un-editable in any program, so no-one can make a shortlegged, curly tailed, long furry, loveable looking dog or cat, except Maxis of coarse.
I'd like to thank all the Sims1 fans that have left me wonderful compliments about my Sims1 game content. I have a total of 108 Animal skins for download here at TSR, a little something for everyone, hopefully, all will find that special pet that they love to play with in their Sims1 "Unleased" game.
I'm waiting for Maxis to come out with an expansion pack for Sims2 with playable pets. I hope its soon.

I thought it would be fun to publish the house that you'd actually get if you followed the tutorial through!! So it's called Yoshiro (which means 'good son') - it'll be published on Monday 13 March, unfurnished but with kind of 'illustrations' of how you could develop your own building. :D

Pink

Honestly, I dont really have a pink thing going on at the moment,just fancied a change.Been back into object recoloring lately,after a long episode of mainly skinning.I realised lately how many meshes out there dont actually have many color choices with them.It's great to see so many meshes coming it keeps us recolor people very busy not to mention inspired.

Pyjama Time

A couple of friends on another board were discussing buying new pyjamas, and posted pics of what they were ordering... and I love the baggy pj mesh from parsimonious! Easter duckies/chicks on one pair, and a slogan on the other.

I also dug into my folders and found a skirt and halter top I made from a texture created by the wonderful Simderz, and a dress and jacket. I can't remember where I got the texture for them.

OFB Craft Objects Collections

I made two collection files for all Open for Business craft objects, the ones that you usually make at a craft station, like toys, robots, flowers. With these collections you can just buy those objects from your game catalog. Since those are modified files, I posted them at MTS2. You will find the files and instructions at this link. You can also go to Downloads section at MTS2 and do a search for "OFB Craft Objects".

Custom objects on OFB shelves

Thanks to Numenor for discovering how custom objects can be changed to make them placeable on Open For Business shelves! Numenor actually created a global hack for that, but if you are not going to use that hack, I've modified several of my decorative objects to work without the hack. They can be downloaded from this page.

Sheer Elegance

This set is basically just an inverted version of the Pastel Princesses set with slightly altered alpha layers for a subtly different effect. I think it has a surprisingly different feel from the Pastel Princesses, much more sophisticated and glamorous. I hope you like it! Again, many thanks to Biene for the beautiful mesh (sim2-fashion.de) and to Faviana who designed the original dress which inspired all ten of my dresses (eDressMe.com).

Quick fix towels

I liked the towels that come with OFB. There was only one problem, they did not match all my bathroom mats and accessories. Problem solved, lol! I made new towels based on OFB ones but linked to my original towel for colors! The set of four towels will be published tomorrow, March 9. These modified towels will use all the custom recolors you might have. They don't require expansion pack. The rack towels also modified to stay visible at all times, even when the walls are down.

Pastel Princesses

Today I've submitted a set of five formal gowns in pastel shades, similar to the Fairytale Ballgowns I made previously and again using Biene's wonderful mesh from Sim2-fashion.de. The dress was inspired by a beautiful Faviana prom dress I saw at eDressMe.com which is a site that often inspires me to create formal gowns. They have some gorgeous dresses there - I wish I had a prom to go to! This particular dress has an unusual sheer boned bodice which really captured my imagination. The ivory gown in the Pastel Princesses set could easily be used as a bridal gown and in the preview picture I've added a veil and hair flowers from Pronupsims.

Fairytale Ballgowns

Today I've submitted two Fairytale Ballgowns in pale pink which require Biene's gorgeous transparent ballgown mesh from www.sim2-fashion.de (wonderful web site). This beautiful mesh has two extra layers of skirt over the basic mesh which allows for some stunning effects (take a look at what Rosemat has done with it at Pronupsims). My two Fairytale Ballgowns are basically the same dress except that in one dress the extra layers are plain and in the other they're patterned, which makes quite a difference to the overall appearance. I was brought up devouring Ladybird books of fairytales like Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, etc, and I think that's what I had in mind when I was creating these dresses. By the way, you won't be seeing 27 re-colours of this dress as it doesn't seem to lend itself at all well to altering the hue and saturation :(

Update - fixed Magnolia tables

Both Magnolia tables were just a bit too high. Parts of the table were showing through the dinner plates. I missed that during initial testing but corrected the problem now. You can download both tables from this page .

The results of stupidity...

What no-one told ME (yes, I expect to be told EVERYTHING) is that, when a Sim buys something at your lot, that 'something' is added to their inventory. So, when you return to a family who might have shopped at another of your fine establishments, you might find they've been wantonly spending money to buy useless items.

Now, it took several days for my burgeoning cattle market to cease burgeoning and instead sound the death nell of bankrupcy. In the meantime, cattle traded hands in a manner more akin to an international stock exchange.

I have reason to believe, given the above 'news', I can expect my neighbourhood lawns to be littered with cows and milk churns.

Which will look very silly indeed in my concrete jungle!!!!!
