Country Gates
I am almost finished with my first set of gates. They will complete my Country Stair Collection which will then hold stairs with matching fences, gates and columns.
Arc (de Triomphe?)
Okay, I really can't work out just where I come up with these names. :-DArc was *supposed* to be a simple house with an arch as it's main feature... instead, I ended up with 'Arc'. Yet another modern house for you contemporary fans, with an arch that somewhat pales into insignificance in such a large property.
Nonetheless, I still like it and I LOVE the landscaping on this one! I also had the chance to try out Cyclonesue's Never Ending Windows!
I hope you enjoy it too!

Clan Maclean Hunting Tartan
By request, I have re-coloured my formal kilt again, this time using the Clan Maclean dark green hunting tartan. I hadn't planned to make a set so I'd already submitted the dress tartan kilt as a single item. I've now re-submitted it as part of a Clan Maclean set, which may cause chaos - I hope not. Anyway, any feedback from Macleans out there would be welcome.Surprise holiday!
Ruth surprised me with a surprise holiday for our Valentine's Day anniversary, so I was unexpectedly away for a few days!!!!Now I'm back on taking millions of pictures of roofs for tutorials!
Clan Maclean Kilt
A few days ago I was asked to make a version of my formal kilt in Maclean tartan. Working on this has provided a welcome break from planning (or rather failing to plan) my wedding. I had no idea there were so many different Maclean tartans. The one I have used is one of the formal dress tartans worn on special occasions. For everyday use a dark green hunting tartan is worn. I have also included a Maclean clan badge on the right lapel of the jacket. If I've got anything wrong I would be grateful if any Macleans out there would let me know. My source for much of this information was the Clan Maclean web site at http://www.maclean.org.Hello...again!
Here I am at TSR, once again. Some of you may recall that I have been a featured artist in the past, so this is my second time wearing the hat. I think it suits me!I have been creating custom content for The Sims games for six years now. I started out at a great little site called Stylissimode, and was recruited by the one and only Fionn. Since then we worked together at Simfreaks, and 8DS until Fionn retired from the scene a couple of years ago. After that, I went solo here at TSR, and loved every minute of it. Fionn came back on the scene at the end of 2005, and we partnered up once again at another great site, Sims Connection.
Now, here we are at The Sims Resource, ready to add our flair to the world of Sims hair. I can't wait to start bringing all of my ideas to life, in both hair, and clothes. In addition to that, you'll be seeing walls and floors from me, ground covers, makeup, eyes, eyebrows, and skintones, among other things.
I'm very glad to be here once again. I want to say thank you to everyone who have left kind words in my guestbook and private messages. It means alot! I'm excited to be a part of the ever talented Featured Artist team here at TSR, and am looking forward adding to my catalogue once again! Now excuse me while I head off to start working on another set of hair textures!
Harvestable Crops
I've been having so much fun creating more crops for your Sims. This week I am releasing 3 more sets: Harvestable "dropped" fruit, herbs and potted plants.
The dropepd fruit was a request, although I'm sure it was intented as purley decorative I made them harvestable. Just place the patch of dirt & grass under the corresponding tree (no cheat required) and watch the fruit "drop" every other day. Sims can harvest this fruit for a few simoleans. if they do not (or don't water) the fruit will rot. Note: when watering it will look like the Sim is watering the tree.
Pandas
Working on Panda's Set to grow up with. This was a request. Thanks for the downloads.....Sorry I've slowed down...
For those of you who have been bombarding me with messages about when I am going to release more homes, antiques, etc. never fear. This has been quite a busy month with me as far as real life goes and I simply haven't had the time or the energy to upload the rest of my finish creations or to start on any new ones. I am hoping that the release of this new expansion pack plus the possibility of new booster packs will help jostle me back into a creative frenzy! I'll keep you posted and thanks for downloading!Just 3 walls and 4 floors
February 21 already, I have been having a great time remaking some Sims1 walls that were popular and the feedback I've gotten about that has been positive....YAY, no you have to be kidding, those were crummy, rotten comments. Sigh of relief :-) Here's a piccie of the latest with matching floors, there are two versions of the blackgold bump tile. These should be published on the 25th. Hope you like 'em. judi
Inspired by gusts!
Well, the wind howls around our house tonight. No, I'm not still talking about our windy little pup (that was my last blog entry - pay attention!), but weather. And it made me think of our roof (just wondering how permanently fixed it is, and whether it will still be there in the morning). This cheerful thought led to the lack of roofs in The Sims. There aren't that many custom roofs about really - I presume because they're a pain in the proverbial to be truly creative with them.
This lack is further exacerbated by the fact that certain creators here have made roofs and are just sitting on them, in that mean, hogging way. In fact, if I'm being honest, there's only really ONE creator I know who's hogging custom roofs in this selfish way. Totally mean and spiteful.
Anyway, 'Mean And Spiteful' has now uploaded the aforementioned roofs for your delectation (or to use on your lots - your choice); they'll be darkening the TSR servers on 28 February 2006.
Here are two of the seven roofs in the set...

Carina Stair Collection
I finally finished my Carina Stair Collection: 7 stair meshes, 3 different rails, matching base board and crown molding. took me forever to make them all line up properly... lol!
Synagogue Windows
I have just completed my first set of window meshes. round windows in three sizes with designs adopted from synagogues around the world. more to come... I'm hooked by that theme! lol!
Work in progress - Waterfront Windows
I had this idea for a while, a new type of windows, somewhat similar to Lafenetre but with wide outer frame. Finally got to work on them, got a couple of arched windows already. The frame will be dual color, a bit more flexibility there.
Please don't upload lots with my objects to other sites!
I've been getting many PMs lately asking permission to use my objects in lots that will be uploaded to some other sites. But it's not up to me to decide. According to TSR rules featured artist meshes may not be uploaded elsewhere. Meaning, you cannot use my objects if you plan to upload your lot to another site. However, you can upload that lot here at TSR, I'm TSRAA member, my objects can be used in TSR submitted lots :).Something in the air...
Meet Dolphin...

8 weeks old and new to our house. He's kindly brought with him needle-sharp teeth, a very shrill squeal and a willingness to permeate the air of any room with a less than savoury odour every few minutes. And so, we may be forgiven for giving him the nickname "Flower" - not because he's a little petal, but because that was the name of the skunk in "Bambi".
Puppies are just SO cute.
Black & White Ball
I surprised even myself today by coming up with two more re-colours of my silk formal gown, this time in simple and elegant black and white. The white dress could easily be used as a bridal gown. The background I've used for the preview shots is a photograph of the beautiful ballroom at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, which looks breath-taking. I've never been to Budapest but would like to visit some day.Hair Meshes
Hi there! A lot of people ask my where they can find the hair I use on my sim-models? So here the answer for all who would know it: I use mostly hair from: Sunair (here @ TSR), Peggy (www.peggysims2.net), from www.xmsims2.com, Seomi @ MTS2 or from www.sussissogoodsims2.com. So look there and you will be find some fantastic hairstyles! Cheers SophiaNew Project : 2 new Bodypaint for my new set
I have made 2 new Bodypaint for my new set "Spirits of Spring". I have browsing though hundreds of wild flower snapshots for the right colors and shapes.
They are less revealing than some lingeries on TSR so I think it is OK if I upload them --I have already upload some bodypaints to TSR--.
Feedback appreciated.
The T
Mesh for silk formal gowns
I've had a few PMs asking where to find the mesh required for the silk formal gowns. It can be found at Pronupsims (www.pronupsims.net) and is called "Giverny":1. Go to Pronupsims2 at http://www.pronupsims.net
2. On the menu on the right hand side choose The Guests
3. Click on the Bridesmaid picture top centre
4. Scroll along the dresses by clicking and holding the arrow at the right hand end of the scroll bar underneath the dresses until you come to a dark blue dress
5. If you hover your mouse over the dress you will see at the very bottom left of your screen that the file is called Opaline
6. Underneath this dress it says "Mesh" and if you hover your mouse over this link you will see at the very bottom left of your screen that it is called Giverny
7. Click on "Mesh" to download the Giverny mesh.
While you're there, take the opportunity to check out Rosemat's beautiful gowns, lingerie, accessories and hairstyles.
No Baby Yet
I should have updated this earlier and let you know what is going on, but I wanted to wait till I talked to my doctor first. The first IVF treatment didn't work, well there were some problems with it and it was almost called off during the treatment. I'm pretty disappointed, but our next go round is in May. We have three more shots at this and of course now I sit and worry if it will happen the next time lol.
Thanks to everyone for writing me and wishing me luck, I'm bottling that luck for May and hopefully I'll have good news with that :)
Carly:)
Sims1Walls
Happy February y'all, O.K. So I lied. My sims 1 walls are not ready for the week of the 13th. You knew I couldn't do that and still get my new computer up and running with 560,000 files backed up and installed. I will submit some this weekend though. I am working on victorian type walls and floors for our March theme. Will give you a sneak peek when I can. In the meantime, please let me know by PM which of my sims1 walls you liked and used the most and I'll convert those first. Please don't say the ones that look like red question marks....grrrrrrrrr.Howdy All
Here I am, in what seems like a full circle. I have been creating Sims stuff for a while now, and even though I took about two years off from creating, I never lost touch with the community or lost my desire to create stuff for the game. I'm back, and hopefully in a little better form.I've been back "on the scene" for about four months now, and I've decided to hang my hat here as long as they'll have me, and I'm very glad to be a part of such a community.
Along with me is my constant companion for the last four years, Xandher. She's going to be submitting lots of stuff here, including working with me on textures, so I'm tickled pink about that too.
The little ones that you see on my FA banner are my own, btw. Daddy loves 'em.
I hope you all enjoy my first entry here. I think it is innovative for a couple of reasons: 1) it utilizes some new animations made possible with the newest version of SimPE (thanks so much to the creators thereof), and 2) it is a uniquely layered style. You will notice that the outer layers are primarily transparent, so the thumb nails or quick screens of the hair in the game look like it is transparent. To an extent, it is. What this allows for is some very complicated "interweavings" of the hair that make it look more realistic, at least I think. Try it out and let me know what you think of the new animations and the layering.
Thank you all, and once again, thrilled to be here.
Fionn
So? Sue me!
Okay, I was wrong.Yes, I made a complete twit of myself - as usual. Enjoy the moment, why don't you.
I was TOTALLY wrong about terrain paints. Anyone audience to my spoutings in the TSR Build-A-Lot forum will have heard me mention that the latest Nightlife patch (released 7 February 2006) which promised to fix the terrain paints bug in packaged lots had created a much worse bug: crashing lots.
Well, it's NOT terrain paints. Pinecat, NeptuneSuzy and I have verified that by testing a whole string of lots. Unfortunately, we don't know what IS causing the crashes to some people's lots yet.
But I've decided not to 'help' the investigation any longer simply by swivelling round and round and pointing at any random cause that suits me!
I'll keep you posted when we find out what IS causing some crashes. I'll even try to keep it factual rather than make it up.
There's a first for you!
Thank you DOT
I just want to say thank you to a wonderful person... DOT has made me a new forum signature picture and I love it! In fact, I love it rather TOO much in that head-swelling way that I have. Gleefully, I know it will ensnare many more of you to these darker pages of TSR (my mini-site, that is) and you will all SMILE WHEN TOLD! Oops! Sorry - forgot myself for a moment there... Deep, CALM breath - just like they said on the Anger Management Course... DOT is both very lovely and very funny, and she's made some astounding creations. Go check out her wonderful mini-site here. And please, please, PLEASE do check out DOT's "Barely There" lightbulb set. My particular favourite is the bare bulb swinging on a long, bare wire from the ceiling and I beg lot builders everywhere to just TRY it! And I DO hope you look at this set, and not just linger over the men's naughty underwear currently gracing DOT's pages! I'll be watching you! No lingering now!
Water Torture for your Sims
Now that we've all got that hearts-n-flowers stuff out of our systems (we have, haven't we?), I figured it was time to bring you a new amazing creation!Cue drum roll.........
A, erm, dripping tap.

Okay, don't look at me like that! I like it. It really drips, you know! What do you mean: does it DO anything? Of COURSE it doesn't! I made it! It is UTTERLY USELESS!
But seeings as you're going to be like that, I have no choice but to enforce my personal rating system on you again. Sigh...
Rating: 10 stars 5 stars 0 stars
Wow! Thanks! What a surprise! :-)
PS: those amazing flowers are by Solfal. They can be placed amongst your usual flowers and they look absolutely stunning. Tall grasses by SimAddict99. - much better than my grass, naturally.
New projects
I have a hard time focus on one thing at a time. Here is the items I am working on that is going to be ready soon i hope! Its an old wood bathtub and I finally managed to make a playable ragdoll. I have some more work on both it before they are redy.

Tea for 2
Just tea for 2, and 2 for tea, just me for you.Tea for 2 set, available Feb. 18th, includes 1 new mesh and 9 recolors. Some of the teapot recolors match previous room sets I've created. There is "Shabby Chic, Asian Inspired, Pink Passion, and Egyptian Gold," which matches my current set, "Out of Egypt." The set also includes a "hot" red teapot with hearts for Valentine's Day.
Natural Glamour
Today I've been working on another set of re-colours of my Valentine formal silk gowns, this time in shades (loosely) inspired by nature. I started off thinking of Earth tones but as usual ended up stretching that a bit and now the set also includes some nice Spring colours. By the way, I realise it looks a little odd having the girls standing in a field wearing formal gowns - call it poetic license; I just wanted to have appropriate colours in the background. I think I may have run out of colours now so I may be forced to create something entirely new to re-colour 27 times.Gym Gear - Repost!
After receiving one or two complaints about accessibility of this mesh - Iasked for it to be pulled BUT great news!!! Sim Chic have uploaded the mesh to their free section hoorah! So I have reposted this gym gear set. Please enjoy freely :)
Grizzelda's Meshes
Don't you just love Grizzelda's meshes? I love to recolor them! One of her newest, the tunic and pants mesh, is my favorite. Eight new outfits with her mesh are coming soon!Babydoll mesh by Dr Pixel
I have discovered that there seems to be a problem with my babydoll nighties not showing up in the game. I hadn't realised when I submitted these outfits, but there appear to be two different versions of the babydoll mesh by Dr Pixel: one here at TSR which I originally linked to in my babydoll downloads, and another at Dr Pixel's own site theblarneystone.org, which is the version I used when creating the outfits. If you don't have the Blarney Stone version of the mesh my babydoll nighties will not show up in your game as the meshes have slightly different names. The Blarney Stone version is free to download. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had problems. Thanks to Ian for highlighting this problem.February 14, 2006
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!Update - Sato diagonal window
There was a small glitch with Sato diagonal window, after you place that window on diagonal wall you couldn't change its color with a design tool. Thanks to Chrissy6930 for pointing that out! I fixed the window, you can download it again from this pageValentine's Day
Today I've been working on a set of re-colours of my Valentine formal silk gowns, this time in shades of blue (see, I wasn't joking about the 27 shades!). I had in mind colours reminiscent of the sea initially, although I've ended up incorporating a wider range of shades. If you like these gowns, keep checking back to see what colour I decide to try next. Now I'm going to drag myself away from the computer to prepare a romantic Valentine meal...Welcome
Hello and welcome to all of you who visit my all new mini site. I've been very surprised to be offered this page to present my creations, and I thank TSR Team for their gift. I also want to thank all those who downloaded my creations and those who left such nice comments. I hope you'll all like the new coming creations. Oh! and a happy Valentine Day to all of you who are in love! *Orodruin*A happy day enjoying my guest book
So, the makeover DID work! Lots of lovely hugs and kisses in my guest book. Loved to death.
I feel very happy!
Lots of little red hearts and happy wishes
So, it's here.Happy Valentine's Day to you.
Did you get a sackful of cards or lots of lovely kisses? Yes? Well, you can shut up!
What about the rest of you? You got nothing? I bet you DID get something for Valentine's Day. I received lots and lots of loving messages from my local supermarket. They started nicely enough: "Roses - buy your loved one some beautiful, red roses for Valentine's Day - only 57.00 a bunch". However, as time grew nearer to
Of course, at my peril, I ignored this email too. And so, they started flooding in thick and fast: "Only 9 hours, 23 minutes to go - quick, BUY some!" Shopping cart readily populated for my convenience.
"You've persistently ignored the fact that we're wanting you to buy our lovely red roses, and so we've been FORCED to drop the price to just 38 a bunch. I do hope you realise we have had to lose many staff in order to finance this discount, now please have the decency to BUY!!!" Naturally, filed with my other Valentines greetings.
And now, silence. No roses, just silence. I expect I will receive the supermarket firing squad at my door later. It's okay though; I'm suitably armed with a big bottle of weedkiller.
I can hear what you're all saying!
Of COURSE I'm not trying to solicit unnecessary attention!
I just fancied a makeover. NOTHING AT ALL to do with the fact that it's Valentine's week...
Now, you'll have to excuse me whilst I check out my guest book to see if anyone has chanced by to
