Koala's
Next set, coming this week, Growing Up with Koalas. Enjoy!Chairs
I will uppload the white chairs and a matching table for the theme. I will submit the other recolours later and maybee add some moreHappy Valentine's Day
Just wanted to wish everyone a really happy day on the 14th - Ruth and I got married on Valentine's Day, and we'll be spending the day away having a great time, as I hope you do! :wub:Tutorials, not Romance!
Despite some requests for romantic churches, I'm really sorry but I'm going to pass over this month's theme and spend the time working on tutorials on interesting roofs as promised - Domes, Thatch, Sino-Japanese, etc. :)Valentine's Day approaches
So Valentine's Day is tomorrow, which frankly comes as something of a relief as I have felt compelled to create endless Valentine skins in anticipation. Today I have submitted my final Valentine skin, another Dr Pixel babydoll nightie recolour (I love that mesh!). This one's a bit sexier than my last babydoll set. It's only a single item as the design didn't really lend itself well to hue/saturation adjustments, which was frustrating as I am now addicted to making 27 different shades of every skin! Originally, I had intended to make a single set of Valentine lingerie comprising, say, 6 different designs. I loved Xandher's and De Anne's Sims 1 Valentine lingerie sets and wanted to create something similar for Sims 2. However, once I started playing with the hue setting I ended up turning each individual skin into a whole set. But now I must stop! Hope you all enjoy my Valentine skins - any feedback would be most welcome, either by PM, guestbook or comments under individual skins. Is not a pay mesh!

For all who think the same: It is not a mistake. Simchic change his freebie area, so I must change all my links tonight to the meshes. I know by one link seems like pay. But it isn't. Klick to download and you will see it will works. And this outfit is now in the freebie area. I think it is a mistake of simchic that there stands for subscibers. I tested it before and ya can load it for free. I know this problem.
If it not works for free by you, then tell me it please! So I must link it new.
Changes
So ... Simchic change its freebie area. So I must change all the links to the meshes I use from this site. I hope now all will be working. When there are problems, write me a PN. Cheers SophiaHi, Just a note I am delighted and honored and tickled pink, hence the pink background, to have a mini site. Not quite sure about blog info yet. Will talk to grand daughter then get back to this page.
Hope you enjoy all my recolors. I sure do love doing them. Enjoy!!
Hello
Well, hello and welcome to my Mini Site - this is all very exciting! I was so flattered when TSR offered me my own personal corner here at my favourite Sims site. I think this is going to be fun - I've never had a web site or a blog before. Mostly I think I'll be using this blog to keep those who are interested up to date with my latest skinning projects. Today I've been working on my first set of formal gowns for Sims 2 which are in Valentine colours (with a bit of poetic license to include champagne and gold shades). I've submitted the set but it may be too late now for the gowns to be published in time for Valentine's Day. The mesh I've used is from Pronupsims - if you haven't visited this site I would recommend taking a look as Rosemat's dresses are absolutely gorgeous - and free! Also she makes the most beautiful hairstyles I think I've seen anywhere so it's definitely worth a visit. My Valentine gowns can be seen on my Mini Site at the moment under My Sims 2 Releases.Lover's Lane!
I made some dresse textures for the Lover's Lane Theme Week. They are all made on Grizzelda's wonderful meshes. Hope you enjoy them!Clothes and even more clothes...
Gone crazy with the cheese whizz! I loved Rabid Angels mesh from sims connection and thought that a lot of you have foul weather so I would make some nice jersey and jean sets for you male sims, hope you like 'em!And then, Grizelda (bless her cotton socks) makes a fab highheeled tunic with trousers set which I adore!!! Yay Grizz!
And THEN... I remembered that I loved a jeans mesh KnightSkyKite had made ages and ages ago and kept meaning to recolour...
so enjoy them all chaps.... I will do more of the Postmodern Man set in the forthcoming weeks
Oh and do you like my new banner?? Especially for Valentines
big hugs and kisses from me....
Out of Egypt--Add-ons
What's hot in furniture design...Egyptian styled furniture, check-out my current project "Out of Egypt Add-ons."She Who Dares
So, there is someone here who DOES dare to ask, at risk of my venomous wrath and ascerbic words! But it is a good thing that she did, for I was BURSTING to tell you all about that arched walway... (and if I HAD burst, it would have been on nothing short of a full-scale national emergency to deal with the end result)...
Anyways, that arched walkway (as shown in my last rant) is rubbish because:
(a) floor tiles on TOP of it cast it in shadow - just as they do when you place floor tiles on top of columns.
(b) Sims can walk through the struts (ie through the STONE bits) so an emergency dose of Dr Pixel's 'Do Not Enter' cones are a must!
(c) the ends when tied end to end don't quite meet - seems like a millimetre space. Some people are NOT good at detail.
(d) it needs the 'moveobjects' cheat to place in water
(e) the open arches refuse to line up with any windows in a wall immediately behind it
(f) I made it
But, if you're not troubled by shadows or you fancy using it indoors, it looks pretty okay. So, I thought I'd throw it in anyway. Add it to your collections of 'rarely useful but will use if desperate' collection of items.
Gentle Poke
Psst...After reading that last post, you were supposed to ask: "WHY, dear Cyclonesue-of-all-things-amazing, is that arch 'rubbish'?"
So, I'll sit here and wait.
Out of Egypt
Coming Soon...February 12th!More Fences and Gate Recolours
At the moment I am in the middle of some more fence and gate recolours, the Pinegultcher Rail Fence with the Longbranch Gates and also the Tornado Fence and the Metal Gate (can't think of it's proper name).
Honeymoon Cottage
For the upcoming theme week I have built 3 lots, Honeymoon Cottage a dreamy house ideal for newly weds.
Also Blue Shores Villa, a beautiful villa in a romantic setting with a private cove...
And lastly Cupids Garden Restaurant, ideal for hot dates especially on Valentines...

Brandon Street Precinct
I have built a community lot to sit alongside my Brandon Street Lofts, you can find almost everything you need at the Precint, Groceries,Games Store,Internet Cafe,Gym,Restaurant,Bowling Alley, Clothes Boutique and a Nightclub.
You want the truth?!
Have you seen that new arched walkway I've thrown into my release schedule for March?Well, it's rubbish, but I thought I'd upload it anyway.

And there we all are.
Okay, so WHO wasn't paying attention?!
I've just had a bit of a giggle at my downloads figures on the Never-Ending Privacy Windows set. Yes, my downloads figures, or lack thereof, are quite often worthy of a giggle, but today I'm giggling for different reasons...You see, at least six of you (at last count) have not downloaded ALL FOUR meshes of the privacy window set. That window ain't gonna work if you don't have them all. Of course, it might be that a few have downloaded some bits more than once (said with hope!), but if the windows won't work, check your Downloads folder to make sure you have all four. The files will be named as follows:
cyclonesue_window_privacy_End
cyclonesue_window_privacy_EndDiagonal
cyclonesue_window_privacy_Middle
cyclonesue_window_privacy_MiddleDiagonal
EDIT: hmmm - it seems you're doing the same with the standard never-ending windows too! It won't work, you know! You MUST download all four pieces!
Right: off you go to check it out!

New Set Announcement
I can now announce that Roses 2 Floor Set is about finished. I hate to comment my own work, but I think this is one of the best collections I've made so far. This set will be followed by matching wall set Roses 2 Wall Set, and Roses 1 sets. I hope that you'll like them.Shhh...

Don't tell anyone, but there's a Special Edition 'Water Court' house coming to your Neighbourhood very soon!
Previews to follow when it's finished, (it's currently being furnished and decorated ;) ) but the image above is a small taster... Can you guess what it is?
Water Court *Special Edition* - PS_ILUVU
Your sims are now antique!
Well, you all must know by now that I have a soft spot for all things rustic and country... but I am now feeling the itch for antiques. I've been working on a ton of antique floors, walls, pictures, and even furniture recolors that should be coming out in the next month. Let me know if there are any things you would like to see included!Chair
Here is a better picture of the chair I have been working on. Yoy can mix and match the legs and the seat parts. I had to make it a little high poly to get it as I wanted.
Out of Egypt?
What is "Out of Egypt?" Why it's the name of my next room set, which is a recolor of my "Asian Inspired Set." Will keep you posted, and watch for some screenies.***Having an interview at The Sims 2 Nightlife Opening in Thailand on my 22th birthday!***
Dear fellow members, This is long time ago, but I ahve just got blog at TSR so I what to share it with you.
On Sep 18th 2005 ( It is My 22th birthday. ), I have invited to The Sims 2 Nightlife Opening in Thailand hold by EA Thailand & PC-Gamer Thai Edition.
They interviewed me about The Sims 2, The Sims Resource & Featured Artist, etc.
******************************
Interviewer : What is The Sims Resource?
The T : TSR is one of the biggest and most well-known Sims Fansite in the world. There are every things for your sims there.'
Is this ok? I have not been interviewed like this before.
Interviewer : What the reason you think why TSR choose you to be an FA?'
The T : May be I made some thai creations that interest him blah blah...'
Interviewer : What do you think of Nightlife after you try it?'
The T : I do love it. It has plenty of new attractive features...--then I told them all the new things I discovered--.
I turned to a mouse potato ( Computer addicted person ) after playing it.
I have not said the italic message since it will not impress the parents deciding to buy the game for their kids.
***By the way, This is quit interesting question.***
Interviewer : What will you want to suggest to parents who have not decided to buy The Sims 2 for their kid yet?
The T : The Sims 2 is a great game. It teachs your love ones a lot of things. It even advices them how to manage their time for efficient living. It also helps raising their EQ --Emotional Quotent-- & CQ --Creative Quotent-- which are highly required nowaday.
There are few more questions, I am not sure but I think it takes about 5 - 10 minutes.
I have never thought interview is really fun like this.
Best regards,
The T
A Little Quiet...
Unfortunately 'Real Life' has taken hold this month! On the upside, I found out that I've been awarded a grant to go travelling to the United States, on the downside, I've not been able to spend as much time creating as I'd like to.
BUT there IS a new Theme Week coming up soon and I've got a few Lots sat waiting for it. I'll release more previews nearer the time, but this is my first one:
Montague
Outside
Inside
Somewhat diffreent to my usual style, but I hope you'll like it anyway!
Sims1Adaptations
I have a few thousand walls from Sims1 that I am beginning to convert to sims 2. They will be ready for the week of the 13th. Do some of these look familiar?
Cyclonesue's Spring Clean
Well, alright - it's not Spring yet - and there's precious little cleaning being done in the Cyclonesue camp either (so another meaningless blog title, therefore).I realised lately that my Downloads folder was full of 'nearly done' creations and my bombsite-style neighbourhoods brimming with 'almost finished' lots (well, 'brimming' meaning about three, actually), and the ONE thing that had stopped me foisting the dastardly things onto hapless downloaders was pure, unadulterated, bone-idleness. Oh and time, with Real Life staring sternly at me each time I insert the Sims CD back into the drive.
Yes, because, in order to share something at this fine site, one has to photograph it, and make pretty pictures, and submit the things, and... (reaches for sedatives).
But have you seen my release calendar? Packed, it is. Packed with all sorts of useless junk that I should have shifted ages ago (and the odd "Never Ending" set here and there). Yes, I MADE myself finish a gazillion items AND submit them.
[ insert round of applause and/or murmurs of appreciation here ]
Simchic Meshes
a lot of people ask me where they can find the meshes at the simchic page, which I use for my creations. For better finding here a direct link: http://www.simchic.com/ts2/ts2_freebies_FA-everydayWHOLE.htmlIn future I will better link it...
Oriental building tutorials?
I've been asked, "Are there any helpful tutorials around on making Japanese and Chinese traditional buildings?" [And thank you to everyone who's asked me, and everyone who's been so great about my Japanese series. :D ]Well, the guy who first made oriental roof buildings for Sims2 is en7en. He made a really great little tutorial on building a 1-level home, which he's since replaced with a much more complicated and very long tutorial at the official Maxis site. You can go to it by clicking HERE - en7en's Ultimate tutorial.
The scaffolding method he outlines there is one I worked out on my own to build spaceships, but it's great to see him developing it too - we all owe much to the inspiration of daihtnaoz7.
en7en's tutorial is very detailed, and also starts with a wall.txt file edit that I don't recommend for builders who want lots of other people to enjoy downloading their work. If you want to start with the easier tutorial, PM me and I'll email it to you. I will be making my own tutorial soon, as part of a series called "Interesting Roofs", covering domes, thatch and pagodas, and my earlier tutorials on sheds and chicken coops.
[By the way, properly speaking a 'pagoda' is actually a multi-level tower, sort of an asian church spire!!! Homes etc just have curved-eave roofs.]
Walls.. walls.. walls
Well i currently have about 6 sets of walls to upload.. i promise i will get around to it =) So look out in the near future Just a hint of whats to come =)
February
February brings thoughts of Spring on it's way, new beginnings, planning, and Love.I'm having fun thinking of projects to contribute to the Theme this month "Lovers Lane".
Happy Valentine's Day!
Romantic...
I am vorking on a buff to go with the columns and stream so the sims can have a romantic dinner by the ruins. I made a heart cake and it will always be there, but the sim vill decorate it when its time to eat. The other food is original and act as the original ones. I have also been making a heart chair. I have taken almost the whole day to get it as I wanted. Its realy a bad picture of the chair. I have to make a better later I think :)
Oh, alright then!
I guess that arch (see last entry) looks pretty okay when used in a room of evenly distributed lighting - and it looks great outdoors. If I release the arch (IF), you MUST promise me you'll use it in well-lit areas, or darker areas provided the amount of light that shades each piece is about equal. The worst enemy of this expanding arch is the sideways-on window, where the arch piece nearest to the window is the brightest (as in my last entry's piccie). Use lighting or windows opposite the arch though, and all is well.
And it will go nicely with my Never-Ending Privacy Window (below) that I've just queued up for release! Thanks to DavidH, this idea allows you to make your windows as little or as long as you like!

More never-ending windows to come soon!
Of course, there are some that might say my blog is never-ending too - but we won't mention what will become of them.
A Spring Clean
...well not for me because it is still summer where I live! However, cleaning as in bathroom. Yes I have completed the postmodern man bathroom. I will show a picture of this later today.
Mew!
The first blog entry is always weird... so um... MEW!It's strange that I've actually wanted to create some more junk, but Bodyshop won't open. Any other time it would have opened fine! Removing all my content didn't appear to do anything, so I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to be reinstalling my game in the very near future in attempt to fix this little problem. Yay!
Aside from Bodyshop wanting to crash, the game is fine... but I haven't touched it in a week or two. My sim spit out twins and I needed a little vacation once they turned into children - it took forever to get them to that point! I ended up venturing into the world of MMORPG and umm... it's as addictive as they say. Hopefully the MMORPG diet will be more effective than the last... ;)
