More tulips!!
While working hard on a new bathroom (new meshes), I took some time off to make a recolorset of the tulips from the Early Spring set.Yes, more tulips to lure spring our way! Available next week, or even this weekend. Depends.... will I be good or will be lazy :D
Thank You!
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who left comments on my creations during the last month or 2. I ran into a little trouble accessing my comments and wasn't able to thank everyone individually, so here is one big thankyou for those I missed: Thank You!Oriental Theme! I made some dresses out of PaintShopPro textures that I made from scratch. Hope you enjoy them!
Nobody told ME!
I spent AGES making a new arch. An expandable arch with end pieces and a top piece so it could be as little as two squares wide, or as wide as the widest lot base! It was a very cool idea from one of our TSR members and I couldn't wait to try...

Don't get excited. It didn't work because the ambient lighting in the game lights each piece differently and so, indoors as in the above piccie, it looks (quite frankly) rubbish! Just about what you'd expect from the Cyclonesue stable of creations really. Therefore, I don't intend to submit it.
But this ISN'T the point of this story. No, I wanted to tell you about how long it took me to make ALL THREE pieces (note the word THREE). You see: there were TWO end pieces: a left and a right piece. Took me ages to make the last one (the right piece) in particular because it would have looked odd it it was not identical to the left. But I did it - with diagonal versions too!
Only, when playing with the arch in the game, I noticed how interesting it was that, when laying a left piece, it rotated on the wall to face either left or right. So did the right hand piece, come to that. They could both be left-facing, or both be right-facing, OR (as intended) one of each. My partner was also curious to know why I'd made TWO end pieces instead of only one which could be placed either end of the arch.
Yes, instead of labouring intensely over the right-hand piece to ensure it matched the left hand piece perfectly, ANYONE here could have told me that there was NO NEED for a right-hand piece at all, because the left-hand piece could be BOTH ends!
You all knew that, didn't you! Oh yes you did, and that's why you're all pointing and laughing!! You've ALL used doors in the game and rotated them to face left or right, so of course you knew.
(Come to think of it, so did I)
Happy Thoughts
I'm so glad to have this small personal web site on TSR! I was so happy these days that I didn't do any "work", I mean, I didn't make any new content. But today I can announce that my second Sim for submission is finished and that it'll be here soon. I hope you'll like her and use in your game with pleasure. She is an adventrous female SIM with elven features, daring and resourceful. I wanted to make a fantasy Sim and here she is!
First Entry
This my first blog entry. I can't announce any new creations at the moment, but be sure that some will come soon. I will stick to wall/floor sets for the time being, at least until I find some time to learn object creating secrets from my sister. It's all about YOU!
So, i was sitting here thinking to myself "Hey, what do the people want to see on their walls and floors anyway?" Well, since i'm not YOU, i just don't know...i've had people tell me a thousand and one times "Just make what you would like and people will download it." And, for the most part, that's exactly what i do...but putting stuff up here or on Sim Design Sisters isn't only about what *I* like, it's about what you all want, too...so, is there something that you think is missing from downloads in general? Not just here, i mean all over the place...any walls or floors you think there should be more of? Come on, let me know! After all, when it comes to downloads, it really is all about YOU!hugz,
Rowena

Modern style rug for your sim house. Recolor of Windkeeper 3x4 Rug. Coming Soon :D
Work in progress - lucky cat
My first 3DS Max model, and hopefully not the last one! lol! Japanese lucky cat statue. Sure took me a long time to finish this! Can't decide if I love or hate this little creature! But I'm not going to fiddle with it anymore and submit it as it is. Will make a few recolors and add it to the oriental theme.
Asian Inspired Set
Upcoming...an Asian Inspired bedroom set, for the next FA's theme "Oriental Express." The set started out as an entryway/foyer set and sort of morphed into another bedroom set. My "Asian Inspired," should be available soon!
Romantic place
I am working on romantic items for valentine. I have made these columns and 3 separate parts that goes on the top so you can build them together like this. There will be more added later.
Hello and Welcome!
Hi there! If you're reading this, you already know who i am, so i'm not gonna bore you with and introduction...:) I'm thrilled that i've got my own mini-site now! To answer any questions that might come up concerning this...no, i'm not a featured artist now...no, i don't think i'll ever BE an FA here...but that's ok, cuz i have quite the full plate with making stuff for here, my other website Sim Design Sisters (SHAMELESS PLUG!! http://www.simdesignsisters.com), raising my now 17 year old daughter and my medieval hobby! Some days i wonder where i get all the time!Anyway, i am hard at work on another set as well as tutorials for matching wallpaper textures, wood and tile floors and some more advanced border matching tricks that i didn't cover in my last tutorial...i also recently acquired a copy of 3DS Max, which has me quite baffled, as well as SimPE so i can do something other than walls and floors for a change...that's really all for now, catch you all later!
hugz,
Rowena
Isn't eastern architecture great? !!!
At TSR we take it for granted that we can re-color clothing and objects. Well, as an experiment, I've tried re-coloring buildings - particularly the roofs on some Japanese villas (not as easy when using the Sims2 Basic Game as with Uni & Nightlife, I've been learning!!).I've also been adding some eleven-level high pagodas, with different uses, which of course have to be played with Uni and Nightlife or your game will crash.
Aaahhhh, 'Crash' - what a wonderful movie ....
Nightclubs for Nightlife
I had a Nightlife-ready version of the 'Black Hawk' a month ago, but illness buried it until now. Some downloaders have enthusiastically converted the original Basic Game version anyway - I'd love to see any pics you may have! :D
And baby Makes Three...
Well I jumped the gun a little and made a nursery set even before I did a bedroom, kitchen, or bathroom!! So for those family oriented sims this is a good thing! Look below and you can get a sneak peak of this new set. It is based on the very wonderful nursery created by Carol over at 4esf. On behalf of simmers worldwide Carol, thank you, thank you, thank you.I will also point out (should you not have noticed), BetterBeSims new set . As you will know now...those of you who download some of the things I have made...that I am quite fond of green :P And I love this set!! Green!! Tulips!! What is not to love?!?!
hugs
Nancy

And now for something completely different...
In addition to my skinning and face making, I have decided to try my hand at building houses and lots too. My first submission in this field is my SimCity Mall. It's a Maxis-only, scaled-down version of the Mega Mall that I built for my own game. For those interested, you can find pics of my Mega Mall on page 2 of this thread in the Sims1 House & Building forum here at TSR: http://forums.thesimsresource.com/showthread.php?t=280746And here are some previews of my submission, the SimCity Mall:

Rivulet
Here is a first pic of the rivulet I am working on. It is made of tree parts. 2 2-tiled and 1 4-tiled part. The rivulet is animated for a realistic look.
Contempo Living Room Recolor Set
Hi everyone, I feel so happy I have my Mini site. I hope all of you like my creation too :D Here is my new recolor living room set, mesh from BetterBeSim. Coming Soon !!
Euro bathroom
Finally! I have had the time to finish the bathroom set. It will be relesed 28 jan. I have started to make an animated rivulet. I hope I will get the time to make a romantic set for valentin
Work in progress - more fences
I made a shorter version of my wood and lattice fences. They will come in three colors just like the original. Also tried one new metal work design. Hopefully I can come up with more and make it into a set #2.
Little Pleasures
I've been so excited by the next FA theme week!Last month I asked if we could do an oriental theme week for this month to celebrate Chinese New Year which is on the 29th January. Little did I expect so many of the FAs to produce SO MANY amazing creations!
Following in the Chinese vein, 1 and 2 Fortuna Court are both traditional Chinese courtyard houses. Windkeeper was generous to make me some fabulous bamboo blinds for Mineko Hanamachi - my row of Japanese Okiya (Geisha Houses), and I got creative with Homecrafter and Sim PE to make some custom stuff to put in my new Chinese Restaurant - Xinran (Little Pleasures).
I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed making them!
Starter Castles!
I made a few Starter Castles! I fiqured our Medieval Neighborhoods could use some economy housing for those Medieval Simmies just starting out! Hope your simmies like them! :)Me? A Mini Site?
Well, welcome to all who visit here. I am so chuffed to have this mini site as I have admired those of our fabulous and wonderfully creative FAs.This mini site contains a few items and lots I managed to make last summer. No promises when the next ones will be as I am currently in the last few months/weeks of my Primary Education degree - but this looks like a jolly good excuse to take time off a make a few more!
Spring teaser
Here is a little teaser: a preview of the Early Spring set, as mentioned in my post at Jan. 15th. Fresh green, light wood and tulips.... I hope you like it. I need to finish some details, but I think it will be up this weekend.
Product Recall (!)
Did you download one of these three items before 17 January 2006?
The Art of Misinterpretation
It wasn't Pinecat. That story below - about doorless garage doors. It wasn't Pinecat's idea.
Well, not exactly anyway. You see: Pinecat's idea was not THIS idea. Pinecat meant a see-through door (see-through in that you can see the wall itself through the door, so in theory you could paint your own door designs on wallpaper using Homecrafter). When I reread Pinecat's idea, it was very clear what she meant. Therefore, I can only conclude that my horrible, destructive nature overtook.
She was very nice and polite about me ripping the garage door off completely though.
Privacy screens updated
I've done a little texture fix work on three of my latest privacy fences. You can download them again from this page. The older version will work just fine if you choose not to update :).New Room Sets
I'm busy recolouring 2 new room sets, a Kitchen and Bedroom, both include free items from 4ESF, who have kindly given me permission to recolour them, the set's also include items from creators at TSR, here's a quick peek.
New Fences
Hi guys, I'm back with..... more fences. Love to make them and ofcourse a matching gate. Here is my next one..Higher ones. So your sims have more privacy.
Have fun playing....
Valentine's 2006 theme
With Valentine's Day looming, I have decided to postpone submitting my next set of skins in the Fashion Fever series. Instead I'll be submitting some Valetine's themed skins. So be on the lookout for my TSR 2006 Valentine's skins. I'll be posting preview pics as I complete each outfit. To view the pics, simply click on the "About Me" link to access my profile.Zen-sational meshes
As I have gotten several PM and comments I thought it was important to mention this here. Please, be sure to donwload the "Zen-sational Living Chair" mesh! As all the files state in bold red print, that file is required for the texture by all the other pieces with wood and/or the cushion texture as it is the MASTER file of the set. Without this file the others will FLASH BLUE in your game!!
High Chair Madness
The Bentform high chair is eluding me - after trying several unsatisfactory models, I've devolved to the point of just doing a Bentform-based recolour of the Maxis high chair. Even this is giving me grief though, as I haven't been able to get the tray animation working, and most attempts to do so have resulted in a high chair that crashes the Sims as soon as I try to purchase it (doh!). I may put aside the nursery set for a while, or at least release it without a high chair.Middle Earth
The mountain for the Mines Of Moria is done. Looks really neat, it is lines, so if someone chooses to uild a lot inside of it, they really don't need walls. It has a dark rocky interior inside.A Blog Entry
Welcome to my TSR mini site. I was tired of it saying that I have no blog, so here's a blog entry.More to come as I figure out what to do with this ;)
IVF
As I mentioned earlier, I'm in the middle of ivf treatments. Well after much stress, tonight I get my stimulation shot and Wednesday the eggs come out! Then Friday or Saturday, depending on how things are, they will be put back in. So I'll know by February if a little one is on the way :)And now, INVISIBLE items!
Thanks to Pinecat (yes, I must blame anyone but myself, and this time it's dear Pinecat; Pinecat who thought up this idea and who must take the credit for its brilliance), I have now made......[cue drum roll]...An INVISIBLE GARAGE DOOR!
Pinecat must be applauded for her brilliance! Yes, Pinecat is brilliant anyway, but I'm talking about her IDEA being particularly brilliant. If you are an advanced lot builder, you already know this - you won't even have to think about why. For everyone else, including lot builders who haven't yet ventured the integral garage or underneath parking conundrum, a potted explanation...
What if you wanted to build parking underneath your lot (as in my Gunther House apartment block), or an integral, open-fronted car-port without having to use a garage door? Try it. Lay a driveway and extension, then draw the two side walls and the rear wall only, but leave the front open. Now try adding floor tiles on top. It can't be done, can it? Sure, you can trick the game by placing temporary columns in the centre of the garage upon which to add the tiles, but as soon as you remove the underneath columns, the floor tiles on top become unusable - unless you add a front wall to your garage, which means using one of those garage doors.....aargh!
If you're a dab hand with the CFE cheat, you can work around this problem by inserting a hidden in-between floor (that's how I built Gunther House). For this lot, the perceived higher level of the ground floor space looks fine, but it would look more obvious (and odd) in a smaller house. Therefore, if you want integral parking, you'd do better making it into a full garage and (sigh) adding one of those garage doors... Or darn it, just keep the parking separate.
But now you can thank Pinecat who asked if it was possible to have a garage door that had NO door. So, an open-fronted garage at last! It's not possible to have it entirely frameless, so I've bundled in five basic recolours and for all you recolourers out there, it's simple as anything to make more colour options. But I think it looks cool and allows us to make a garage with NO door that we can now build ABOVE.

For those of you already bored silly with my creations, you'll know this isn't my FIRST invisible item. I made an INVISIBLE DRIVEWAY some time back after tiring of the choice of grey concrete or red brick for my medieval cart parking! It means we can use floor tiles or terrain paints (as in my piccie above) to make our own driveway designs. So, with the driveway AND doorless door, I bring you: Cyclonesue's invisible parking solutions!
The Cyclonesue Mandatory Small-print
Of course, you can't expect anything I make to be perfect (there are other Featured Artists here recruited for perfection; I'm just here for entertainment value). And the little imperfection with the doorless garage is that it STILL makes the clanking door sound. I couldn't see how to remove that though. There were no separate audio references from what I could see.
