Happy New Year!
I want to wish all of you a Happy New Year. I'm looking forward to what being able to continue creating for the Sims, and seeing what new things I can learn. Be sure to keep an eye out for the next theme week. I think it's going to be a great one!Happy New Year!
New Year resolutions...I don't make them, because I never keep them, lol. Have a wonderful New Year!Happy New Year!
I'd just like to wish everyone a great 2006!To everyone who downloads my houses, thank you very much for all your support over the last year - I just hope you enjoy this year's creations as much!
I've got 2 new Lots lined up for release as soon as I can get the Submission page working for me, so keep checking back!
Almost finished...
Well, I have been making a lot of progress with the recoloring of the Romanza Bedroom. It is almost finished and I thought I give you a little peek of what it will be like. It turned rather well, if I may say so myself :) Here is a little peek, just enough to make you all curious.
So, what are YOU doing?
Tonight is, of course, New Year's Eve (I can feel you marvelling at my intelligence already - fancy me knowing THAT!). So, what will you be doing? If you're going out on the town, visiting family, partying or hosting a party - have brilliant fun! Have a wonderful, riotous time. Lots of hopes and expectations for a good and prosperous 2006.
And if you're NOT doing anything special? Well, take a look around you. Yes, right where you're sitting. What you'll see are YOUR things, and maybe YOUR people too. Most of all, your home. Yes, be PROUD that you (a) get to stay all secure and comfy indoors with your things around you, that (b) you're not just 'following the crowd' and going out for the sake of it (a lot of people ARE - or have no choice), and (c) you have all that time for Simming without any obligation to be anywhere, or without the resultant 'morning after'! What better could you ask for? Me and my partner are staying put by choice. We love to have that choice and I hope you do too.
Have a real good evening, whatever you do. :-)
Absolutely Love Winter
I just absolutely adore winter in Pennsylvania. You just really don't know what is around the corner..LOLWe did not have a white Xmas, as a matter of fact we are having a heat wave right now. Today it hit 52 degrees. But it won't last for long, we are more than likely going to get a blast sometime or another. But we did have a nice snow about 1 1/2 weeks ago..
So this is what I saw when I looked out my Front door and up the road..It is snowing so hard that you can't even see the mountains in the background..I live at the foothills of the range of mountains...

And now this is what I saw when I looked out my back door..

New recolor
Hi you all. Well after a week of tears about my dog Esra a went on with my life. So simming again.... Here is my new recolor. I saw this a few weeks ago on the "Sims 2 Play" site, and planned to make a recolor. Can't find anything to make my new meshes. I'm working on some fences and gates, but the gates won't do what I planned. So here is the new recolor.
And some new pictures to give your bathroom something extra.
And Now For Something A Little Different...
Well not really :P But I love this living room set so much I plan to do it in a few colours. I got inspired by this Laura Ashley pattern - so here is an overwhelmingly pretty pink set!
As it is so hard to see in the picture because the colours are so pale - I have added some of the swatches I have used :)

PS...
I bet you're REALLY glad, what with a great game on your PCs and consoles, that there is someone out here (yes - me talking about myself again) making you all this lovely stuff...Lovey stuff that never, ever works, that is!
Did you see a puff of smoke rise from my industrial chimney stacks? Did you ever see anyone CLIMB my stupid ladders? And do your Sims fill up their motors at one of my gas pumps (or do they leap back in disgusted surprise when they find the gas pump is a mere floor lamp?)...
So, yes, a blog now full of staying-right-where-it-is elevators and a CCTV camera that's blind as a bat!
Enjoy your game. ;-)
Moving on
I have just uploaded the Romanza Bedroomset, it will be available from monday nextweek. Ofcourse several recolors will follow, I have already planned the first recolor and if I can stay on track (without any unplanned new mesh ideas) it might be even finished shortly after this weekend. This is a sample of the colors I am gonna use for this set:
That sure something different, isn't it :)
Cheat!
As every good lot builder knows, the easiest way to achieve something is to cheat. And there we all are. Cheat to your heart's content. Bend and warp tiles into places they're not meant to go with 'boolprop constrainFloorElevation false' and 'locktiles', slap trees in the middle of your living room with 'moveobjects on' (that's your Sims' living room - NOT yours!), and centre the uncenterable with 'boolprop snapObjectsToGrid false'. Yep, in the lot-building world, cheating IS everything. For the life of me, I cannot think of a single lot where I haven't cheated in some way to achieve an effect. With that in mind, I'd therefore just like to point out that the elevator in my last blog is also a cheat. Sure, my Sims are using it, but it doesn't travel up and down (now THAT would be some cheat!). Instead, it uses another of my useless creations: invisible modular stairs (I'm releasing those in my up-and-coming "Urban Renewal Elevator Construction Kit set). These invisible stairs are being used as 'elevator stairs' (Judyhugsnoopy has written a blindingly good tutorial on this in TSR's own Build-A-Lot forums - and it is SIMPLE). This cheat allows you to place a small portion of steps into a tiny space. Yes, this lift might only be 3 x 2 squares in size, but in it is a stairway to the next level.

Or you could simply save yourself the grief and go to one of those 'other' sites we all know about where people have already made working 'stair teleporters'... I suppose, if pressed, I would have to admit (through gritted zipped teeth) that I'm not good enough to make something like that, so therefore MY option is, simply, to cheat!
All arguments on a postcard to the usual address, please.
Log Bathroom
here is anothe
r quick rpeview of the Log Bathroom. It's almost finished. With the Holidays I don't have as much time as I'd like to create so it's taking a little longer, but now there's only a few shadow edits, tiled walls, and the wall lamp mesh left to do.
Hope you like what I've got so far :)
A little bit of this...
...and a little bit of that!My latest set is in yellow/green and gold and I must apologise to you first off that I am unable to add the links directly in the mesh so you have to check out the descriptions in the items to access the original meshes. These are based on some very gorgeous meshes by Holy Simoly (living room set and lights) and Sims2Play blinds.
Urban Renewal
I'm working on a HUGE new project (well, the biggest since my "Industrial Age" series). The "Urban Renewal" series will be a mixture of 'reality' downtown lots and various objects belonging to the concrete jungle. As well as lots (of course), there will be a 'security' kit (posters and CCTV), fences, safety signs set, and this elevator construction kit (and all those digital panels are ANIMATED!)...

And here is one of the lots queueing for upload...

I just need to get a move-on with it all! One lot in the series is already in my release calendar, but I have NO idea how I'll be ready with the rest of it all!!!
Into Romance??
Hi :) Just a small update, about what I have working on for some time now. A complete bedroom set in cast iron, some wicker and romantic pink fabric! If your Sims are into romance at all, you definitly want this set in their homes.
I admit this is not my usual contemporary style, but it is so much fun to make. The complete set contains the bed and canopy as shown on the picture, a single bed version just like it, an endtable, a vanitytable !!, a wicker trunk and some decoration objects to finish it of.
I am working on the final details now, so I quess it will be available next week.
My new set
Hi All,There was a small problem with the publising of my latest set Winterwarm Living, but it is fixed now.
The loveseat and chair in the pinkish/burgundy color, you couldn't find them in the objectssection here, they were only downloadable from the set section. Now they are, available in both sections.
So, if you couldn't find them at first, go and have second look, they are there, in full glory :)
I hope you all like the set!
Fix
I have been working allmost the whole day fixing and reuppload 4 objects. My country counters had a little white spot when using the dishwasher. I got rid of that and reupploaded the file
My future windows was showing bad shadows for some people. I fixed that on both and also made the windows fit in the frames to get better thumbnails. I also made the the small window the same "colour" as the big one.
More on 'Happy Holidays'!
I spent the best part of today's holiday on making a CCTV camera for a new series of lots I'm designing (well, that's if two lots is a 'series'...). The gentle mood for this blissful period of artistic creation could best be described as: seething fury. The camera came out perfectly after just ten minutes - most happy about that. I then spent a maddening seven or so HOURS trying to make a shadow appear behind it (note the time difference: 10 minutes for a whole camera; many HOURS for its stupid, weeny shadow!!!)... And you can see here the happy fruits of my labour. WHERE IS THE STUPID SHADOW?!!! (the dark patch behind is a wallpaper stain - not a shadow) (answers to be in by no later than IMMEDIATELY - preferably with your spare shadows attached. Naturally, I will take all credit)
Mirror and Towel
Slowly making more pieces for the bathroom set. I had to make the towel be placable everywhere, even in the middle of the room, to make it to be placeble under windows for example. Now the children tells me they are hungry, perhaps I would make som food instead of bathroom things!
Weather's Last Laugh
Okay, so I snorted about not much snow about this time of year (because winter 'proper' is only just beginning in England). So, this was the view from my front window this morning...
A Christmas Tale
My mail box seems to be flooded with emails from high street stores screaming "Buy Now!" and offering all sorts of expensive consumerist items I can surely live without, and mostly what I cannot afford. I figured therefore I'd design a more everyday typical Christmas scene. No snow, because most of the world isn't having snow yet. And no Playstation...

Returning Soon...
Since moving at the beginning of December, I've been without home internet. However, I should be hooked up again within the next week or so (hopefully by next weekend!) and back to posting the Soup family line and more items. While trapped offline, I've been working on a Bentform nursery set, which is coming along well, and a Flat Broke bedroom set. Both should be ready for release early in the New Year.
I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays of their choice at this time of year :)
New set coming up
Hi! Today I have been working on a new recolor of the Contempo Livingroom set. I really liked the burgundy color of my last set, so I decided to use it again, but a in bit more brighter pinkish shade. Since it is winter (at least at this side of the planet) I went for a warm and cozy look, so included some felted pillows. Don't they look comfortable?
This is a glass vase, as you can see, it looks very simple, but believe me if I tell you, it took hours to get it look right.
These are only two objects, the set will include many more ofcourse, but I just wanted to show you my favourites to keep you updated.
The silly thing is, that every time I want to do a recolor, I end up making new meshes instead, and it all takes way more time as expected. But I quess you don't mind, :D
Log bathroom
I'm almost finished with the matching bathroom to my log style furniture sets. here is a quick preview of two pieces :) the entire set will consist of Shower, Sink, Tub, Toilet, Deco Shelf, Wall Light, log plant stands and matching bathmats.
Toilett
I finished the toilett. This is the best day of the year. Here we have the big family celebration on christmas eve. On the christmas day our family relax at home and everyone has new toys. Its a great parent day!
Magic of a Guest Book
I've just spent a very happy morning reading my guest book. I haven't visited the early pages in a very long while and reading everyone's comments made me deliriously happy. When I first came to TSR, I figured everyone had a guest book and people who wrote in mine were just being polite. Now I know different!Every creator already knows there's great satisfaction in seeing their creations downloaded. I DID worry about my zero-downloads jungle creepers in the week running up to Christmas but that turned out to be a site glitch! Yet it's something else altogether when someone returns and deliberately wants to sign a guest book or write a personal message.
Just want you to know that I appreciate all your wonderful words and comments.
Sue :)
PS: And if I hear ANYONE saying: "There goes Cyclonesue fishing for comments again!", I shall box a few ears!!!
Happy Holidays Everyone!
I wish you all a tremendous time over the holidays in whatever way you choose to celebrate (or not). Thank you all for your support, your comments and messages, the laughter and friendship I've enjoyed through 2005.I look forward to you all pointing and laughing at my woeful creations for 2006! ;)
Please don't ask for free uploads!
Some people don't realize that creators don't control what goes into a free section. The site does it automatically on a rotating basis. I have no way of knowing when and what will be available for free. Just keep on checking the free section :)It 's a lonely world out here....
It 's a lonely world out here....Or at least it can be, if it weren't for the comments, ratings, guestbook-entries and PM messages. So, thanks to all those Simmers who take the time to give feedback and support.
Some of you may not realise this, while browsing and downloading here at TSR, but all these "get-in-touch things" are very important for us creators. Feedback is what keeps us going, is what keeps us improving.
You might be in a hurry to play the game, feel to shy or whatever is holding you back, but if you want to share something don't hesitate to let me know.
Rate, comment, sign,PM...... and the sets will keep coming :)
Bathroom
Taking a break in the christmas cleaning! I got the bathroom sink to work. Off to make a toilett!
I'm frozen! ;)
In case any kind person wanders in here and finds things looking frozen or odd, all I can say is that while Version 6 is still being tweaked I can't edit or change anything in my Profile or Mini-Site, except to blog!Update Blog
Adding an entry in my blog, so that I will no longer see, "I have no blog entries."Then I am off to complete my Christmas shopping. Merry Christmas!
New Sink
I am home after chrismas food shopping. We made a new record, its the most expensive shopping we have done!As a reward I will have a break in front of the computer!
I am working on a bathroomsink and perhaps i will make a set to match - if i will get it to work that is!
Hi Happy Simmers
Welcome to my Blog... In the future I will give you updates about my new stuff, but for the next few weeks I don't think there will be much coming.
Our dog "Esra" had a car accident, and we had to let her go. She was in much pain and her back was broken. She was only 11 months old. Too Young. So see you in the next couple of weeks.
Welcome
Hi all! Welcome to my little corner at TSR! Thanks for stopping by!I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Abundant New Year!
