Good Bye and Thank You TSR!

Hi everyone,

This is my final session on TSR. I have been a member of TSR since 2008, when I was 14 years old.Without this community, I would have never learned what I could improve on in my stories or be able to express myself in the way I did.

So, I would like to say thank you to some of the special friends I made on here:

Jaws3: You have been with me since the beginning. You’re a true blue Aussie and I always got excited to see you whenever you commented. Our little chats in my and your guestbook always brought a smile to my face. You always encouraged me with my stories and creations. I never truly thank you enough for everything you have done . I’ll miss you heaps!*hugs*

Michelle 111 and Quinnie: You two started off in the one account. I remember first thinking it was a bit odd that two people shared the same account. However, you both were awesome people. I am thankful for your support and comments you made on my stories. I’ll miss the both of you! *hugs both of you*

Little Cloud: I know that you have also moved on from TSR, but I want to leave this little message for you. I always thought that you were an amazing person. hiedibear75:  You are a truly inspiring person. I always thought that every time I saw your comments in the forum, the ‘Disability Den’. You were one of the greatest and closest friends on here. I enjoyed your stories and was always keen to see the next instalment. evi: I always wanted to talk to you because you seemed like such a kind and caring person. Then I was extremely shocked when I saw you commented on one of my stories, I even started dancing around the room. I really appreciated all your comments, so thank you very much. I loved your creations, I hope can continue to make them. *hugs*

Mangio:One of my biggest supporters. Thank you so very much for your comments and encouragement, you kept me going to the end. Thank you! *hugs*

And finally, to everyone else…thank you all so much! You’re support means so much to me. Your comments kept me going to get the next story out, your kind words always made me smile (and sometimes made me cry), your dedication to the Sims always made this community what it is and you made me feel so at home here. You’re an amazing community I will never forget. You all contribute to this site in your own way and it truly makes this place different from any other I have ever signed up to.  I don’t regret it, ever.

If you’re interested, I have a deviantART account you can visit and, if you have an account on their yourself, maybe chat for a bit and say ‘Hi’. I go by the same username/penname (Warrayfinson) on deviantART and Fanfiction.

While my interest in the Sims has ended, I will visit every now and then to see what happening with everyone but it is unlikely that I’ll ever log in again. Thank you all so much, you don’t know what you have done for or how much you guys have changed me.

I hope we meet again, whether it is on deviantART or in real life, sometime in the future. And now, to log out for the very last time.

no laptop!

Hi our friends!

First, I wanted to thank TSR for featuring my sim Nela, I hope you enjoy her as well!

Unfortunately, my laptop crashed and has to be repaired which will take some weeks so I won't be able to create anything. We still have some creations ready but I wonder how we will be able to go on. It won't be possible to do daily uploads because one person can not do the work of two. I hope you understand! And don't expect too much diversity, we have a lot of sims at the moment ;)

The Lies of a Golden Heart - Update

Hey guys! I completed and submitted Chapter one already, and I just finished and submitted Chapter two. I'm guessing they are still going through approval, and they should be up soon. I can't wait for people to read my story. The first chapter is pretty short, but it was more of a feel of the story, and A tester to see if people liked it. I can't wait to see the feed back. Chapter two is much longer. I do finish the chapters quickly, I work on them alot, but the approval process is what takes so long. So The chapters should come out fairly close to eachother, for all those urgent people to read! I hope you like the story and please rate and give feed back I love to hear from you. If i don't get much feed back then the story might not continue so leave me a comment with your likes and dislikes or your predictions, so I know my readers!

Blog 17

The great computer ordeal is still going on for me... I am currently running off of a older computer to be able to do anything at all. I am less than delighted with that but it is better than nothing. But the good news is that we will be getting a brand new hard drive eventually. Turns out that the one that burned up was under warrenty. Of course, you have to muddle through a bit of red tape to get the replacement, but it should be one its way eventually. I am a little confused why they would want us to put the fried hard drive in a static free bag... I don't think that it can get anymore fried than what it already is short of setting it on fire. *shrug* Whatever makes them happy, I guess. I am just glad that I did not do what I had threatened when the drive initially died... I was going to use it for target practice.  Imagine the reaction of the company if it arrived with bullet holes all through it. Hmmm... wonder if that is covered under the warrenty as well? ;)

 I have starting working on some little things, but I am not going to be doing too much until our main computer is fixed. But you might see a couple of things pop up for download from me within the next week or so.

Kudos gone but not forgotten

TSR New Site is very sleek and seems a lot easier to navigate, it took a little whiile to adapt to however it was fairly straight forward and has already enticed me to other parts of the site such as this blog page. Well you can say I've popped my blog cherry on TSR as I've never felt the need, nor have I had the inclination to write a blog entry before.

What could possibly drive me to start now you ask? Well the answer is, the abandonning of Kudos and it's rewards. I myself have had a paid subscription, (which might I say is heavenly) however not always affordable and the Kudos points were a way in which somebody could unlock all the exotic goodies.  So the Kudos offered another way to access these delacacies which inspired people to take the time to thank the artists for their most amazing efforts and leave comments.

In return for their efforts people would be rewarded with options to "Pimp their Profile" as well as other delights such as a days free subscription. Having followed the yellow brick road to be rewarded with just over 7000 points I then sought to cash them in on a free subscription day. As I would only have twenty four hours to grab the gold I decided to prepare myself with a list of prefered artists and items and awaited an applicable time to spend my day in download mode. 

A few days passed and the time arrived for DLoad day. After logging in and racing to the Kudos shop I found the reward was increased to 7500 Kudos. So somewhat disappointed I began the search for new items to pillage and posted new comments until some weeks later I reached the mark.

Having had a little inclination something might go wrong the first time and being correct I was a little horrified to find I had the same apprehension upon logging on at my second attempt to achieve a days free subscription. I put it down to my previous experience until I loaded the site and WOW!

What happend, I didn't recognize the place, the place I used to call my computers second home had been renovated into a sleek and modern version of what once was. After some searching I found to my utter destruction, NO KUDOS points were being awarded. Good grief Charlie Brown!

So I decided to take a look at the new site and found it was much easier to navigate than the old site and made my way to the forums. This is where the story takes a turn for the good. I leave a post and I get a reply letting me know how to obtain my reward. This is most satisfying and leaves me to ready myself for the next attempt at my dowload spree.

A few days later I follow the links and find myself on the new site with all the subscriber downloads unlocked and off I go.  Woo Hoo my Simmies will be so excited when they see all their new items, well at least that was what I thought during the two hour dowloading extravaganza. After  being unavoidably drawn away from my laptop for over an hour I returned to log back in to TSR only to spend another two hours filling my download basket. Each pick an enchanting moment, looking forward to using the creations in exciting and inventive ways. When I pushed the download button it became apparent my free subscription was no longer. This made me very sad....

I have made a note with the powers that be so I will be interested to see what the follow up leads to however: The moral to this story is although I could have filled a few hard drives with all the material I could download over a twenty four hour period I probably wouldn't possibly be able to use it all. So even though I would love to have the other twenty two hours of free downloading I am extremely grateful for all the wonderful items I did manage to download.

So although I desired to be greedy I will instead be greatful because after all the site is filled with awesome free stuff and the Kudos points were free also as a bonus for the free things we already got. All this adds up to having to say THANKS TSR you people ROCK! My Sims thank you also!!

Please explain why you can not transfer the furniture in three of the original sims? Clothes for the transfer. this is the best site but i don't understend ! .. 

New TSR? And Stories Will Be Published in Two Weeks!

Just stopping by to let whoever may read this, that I will definately be publishing the rest of my Tomb Raider stories starting in two weeks :) with the same schedule of posting chapters Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The reason being two weeks is because I have some time off from college, and apart from a buttload of assignments there's not much else to do, most of my friends are on a different holiday schedule :(

Also if you're interested of upcoming stories from me I'm currently working on 2 more!

So there is the current story i'm in the middle of (Sword of Excalibur) which is based on the Tomb Raider Legend game. I'm also going to continue on and do a sim version of the Tomb Raider Underworld game. And lastly I'm working on a kind of romance/drama if you could call it that, I might paste a snip-it of it into a blog post soon....still trying to figure out a title for it though.....i'm thinking Past Mistakes? I don't know, it's still a work in progress.

First ever blog post

Hello guys! I've been a member of TSR for two years now and yet this is my first time blogging here. XD Anyhow, I've been really busy with school and I haven't had the time to blog. So yeah, I've been a simmer ever since The Sims came out I think I was around 10 years old that time (I'm turning 20 this year) so I've been playing Sims for 10 years now. I cant really use the TSR Workshop since I use a Mac, but if there would be TSR for Mac, I would love to create custom items. 

Right now, the only thing I can do is create stories. Funny part there is that, its also my first time creating a story here. The title of the story that is still in pending is "The not so typical love story," I do hope that it gets approved though. I've been so enthusiastic about it, I cant wait to share it with you guys.

Just finished downloading a bunch of Sims :D

WOW. I didn't know I could download Sims until I saw the "SIMS" in the downloads sections :D WELL, Just downloaded a bunch of them and I hope they all work in the game. 

For those having problems downloading some of the beautiful Sims there, it has nothing to do with you not having the required Expansion Pack/s. (I only have the base game myself) All you need to do is download Sims2Pack Clean Installer at sims2pack.modthesims2.com. There's an instruction sections there if you need help. After that, the program itself will take care of the custom contents you download. IT IS VERY USEFUL. 

Well, that's something I learned for this day. Also, I've been in TSR for 3 weeks now. YAY! :D and I'm beginning to be quite comfortable staying. Although it says I joined on Oct. 1, 2011 that was when I was still beginning and learning about custom contents and somehow got carried away and downloaded soooooooo many that my game would crash so I gave up TS2 and uninstalled it but then just installed it again last month since it's already summer here in the Philippines. Anyway, for the past 3 weeks, I've learned so many things about THE SIMS and also TSR and I'm glad about that :)

So glad that I may be staring to create some hair or clothes. I'm still not sure though. I'm not an expert unlike the other great artists out there. But I do hope I'll do a great job.

Modern lodge Neighborhood

Hi Guys :) this is my modern lodge neighborhood so far, the white lodge is up for download from the 8 th of april and the Cappuccino colored lodge  will be up next week. the blue one is already up for download. I hope you like them. Its a really scandinavian type of houses,  very light in colors, lots of windows to let the light in, and low amount of clutter.

Hair Meshing! :)

It's easier than I thought it was going to be, yet it is still VERY time consuming. I've only been officially meshing for 2 days. I mean, I just learned how to make planes on Milkshape this afternoon. I went straight into making some Sims 3 hair mesh practices that all in all turned out quite well. I wouldn't say I'm as good as NewSea or Cazy or Ulker or any of the other famous hair meshers, though. I still need to make a signiature hair texture as well...

Who knows. At the rate I'm learning, maybe we'll have a few new free hair meshes here on TSR by the weekend! :D

I think I'll make a "Complete Idiot's guide to Sims 3 hair meshing: for those who've never meshed a thing in their lives".

To anyone reading who would actually like a tutorial video like that, lemme know, because I'll do it.

New Elec Gate

At last im posting my electric gate for my security fence. had to redesign after first mesh hit more than 10k polygons :(. That and the bone joints that crashed milkshape everytime i tried to veiw them hopfully my work round works fine but if you find problems please let me know
