I am Simmer

If I actually sat down and calculated my time spent on this game (started with Sims 1 / Living Large) I would most certainly have a heart attack. So, for the sake of my health, I won't. Instead I will look back fondly of my time well spent meeting new people (from all over the world...and I do mean all over) who have one very special thing in common: Simming. Doesn't matter whether you enjoy building, playing, story telling, or one of many other creative outlets the Sims provide the bottom line is that we create. We use our minds and imaginations to create places, people, and things to express ourselves through this unique and wonderful medium. I have played many games in my life (50ys) starting with board and card games. I witnessed the birth of table-top RPGs, video games, and many others. Many have impressed me, moved me, disappointed me, and sometimes upset* me, (everything from "What were they thinking?" to "I WILL beat this darn* game!") but none have held my attention longer, pulled more of my time, and has given me so much in return than The Sims. Thank you everyone who's paths I have crossed, who still keeps in touch, and to those I have yet to meet. Keep on Simmin' D. Ray Stone * is not the word I usually use but I am trying to keep this clean :)

Simple Living Modern lodge

After building 5 Tuscany lots for the tuscany series i am planning, i had a little creative detour and made a modern lodge for the sims that loves simple living. It might have been because i just read a book about feng shui or just because i needed a change from the cosy floral  tuscany houses. Anyway i hope you like it. I had fun building it. here are some pictures.

Hey Everyone

I'm back from a long break.... hope you liked my blush. For now I'm up to two things that I submitted - a shirt and a male Sim. I hope they get approved! If they do and get published I hope you will look at it and bother to download it! The shirt will be a surprise, but the male Sim will be Ethan Cole. His muscle definition slider is at the very last, so expect a muscular looking Sim. He's my 2nd attempt to make a cute Sim, and when you see him I hope you like him. :D There, the picture on top? That's Ethan Cole.

I TIHNK I've found

I have a few families that have a regular baby or 2 & then a green 1 cuz dear old dad spent 1 too many hrs on the telescope.  Soooo this means I have use for nurseries that are BOY, GIRL, UNISEX, oh yes AND ALIEN!  Found a nice strip that has star, moon, planet & I can't remember what the 4th thing was.....BUT the colors are blue, pink, yellow AND green.  The green is a bright yet TASTEFUL shade of green.....I don't like the neon green MAXIS came up with for Alien babies.  SO....I'm thinking as soon as I'm done with the SeashellMelody I'll get to work on this OTHER set.  BUT I'm not sure what to call it.  I'm not going to go as over-board on colors this time.....maybe just stick with 4 colors & a couple choices of each?  I also have a thing for "jack & jill" bathrooms where a single bathroom is connected to a boy's room AND a girl's room & I think that this next nursery wall set will be GREAT for this.  I create things that I think I'd like to see more of & hopefully others like them too.

Sims 3 withdrawal

Had problems on and off since Christmas with my PC but now it is all go and I am back in the game. One day I will have enough time to upload some of my house designs as I seem to do more of that than actually play the game. Think I might design a pet accessories/pet grooming store or maybe an animal adoption shelter.

New story coming!

Man, I've waited for this moment for so long! (Okay, maybe not that much...)

I've already submitted my first story (here) and I couldn't be more anxious. Actually, so far I'm proud of myself. I've always started several stories, but I never got the guts to finish them - let's just hope that this one will be different.

Without further more, here's a sneak peak of what it will be - in terms of pictures - the sticky synopsis and some text. (Note: the image and the text here showed doesn't match)

With two bags on each arm, I went up the several hauls of stairs, already cursing its extension. I put them down, removing from the jeans pocket the keys that were once given to me. I noticed I was shivering, making me feel stupid when faced with this reaction. It’s just a house, for God’s sake…

 

Synopsis:

What would you do if you saw something that would change your life forever? Something that would keep you from sleeping and waking every morning with fear? Something that would make you feel that you are always being observed, wherever you are? It’s a nightmare, right? Aria knows it well.

After witnessed a crime involving one of her dearest ones, the one who committed it, always professional in its jobs, couldn’t leave any evidences behind and it wouldn’t be a girl ruin his reputation. Aria knows it, so she ran, getting into a town that she never heard about. It might turn to be an eventual hideout.  But we never know people at its most, who they are or what they might did or are going to do.

Update - Snake on the Catwalk

Hello everybody!

I updated one of my dresses - Snake on the Catwalk, I corrected multiplier 'cause there was some clothing material on sim's finger (visible when using some poses).

You need to uninstall the old dress and then install updated version.

Pets fix!

Hi guys

 

I totally re-installed my game and all CC, and guess what: I got rid of those terrible pets errors! So now I will be uploading some furnished versions of lots I already uploaded, and then there will be loads of new stuff! I am really thrilled it finally worked, because there is nothing more frustrating than spending hours on decorating and then not being able to upload it! argh!

 

My surgery went well also, so now I will be on bedrest for yet another 6 weeks, but furtonately I have my computer close to me so I can keep on decorating!

Tuscany family Villa coming up shortly

Here is my latest Tuscany lot. it is almost ready for upload.

It features

Big ourdoor area with chicken yard, laundry shed, garden shed, vegetables garden and lovely playground.

Inside is big kitchen, diningroom, livingroom and 3 bedrooms and 1,5 bathroom.

Casa Mia is perfect for the bigger family that loves the outdoor but wont miss out on modern comfort.

If you downloaded this house on the first day you might have been looking at an empty shell in your game. this is fixed now and you can re download now and the lot will be working. I am sorry about it but hope you enjoy the now working lot 

Kate Part 9

So here is my 9th set of items inspired by Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.

I am hoping to upload the set soon, but the Sims 2 submission system has been unreliable since before Christmas and is currently not working at all. The Sims 3 submission system doesn't seem to be working at the moment either. Please correct me if I am wrong about any of this.

My new set comprises five outfits and one hat.

This set requires four meshes available at TSR.

I love Kate's style and like almost everything she wears so, as usual, I was spoilt for choice. Eventually, I settled on the following five outfits for this set (in order of date worn):

1. This is an outfit which Kate wore on June 12th 2011 to attend a church service in Windsor to celebrate the 90th birthday of her grandfather-in-law, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. I love this striking brocade coat in a beautiful shade of blue designed by Jane Troughton for Pocket Venus. Kate had worn it previously to a wedding in 2009 with different accessories. On this occasion, she wore the coat over the famous blue Zara dress which she wore the morning after her wedding and accessorised it with her nude L. K. Bennett wedge pumps and a very cute Jane Corbett hat. I have done my best to create a hat as similar as possible to the original but there seem to be very few headwear meshes available. I used a the very cute Veil Cap mesh by H.Lin from 2007 available at TSR. The main outfit uses mesh 150211 by BBKZ. I love this silhouette on Kate. It's very flattering and feminine.

2. Kate wore this outfit on 6th December 2011 to attend a Gary Barlow fundraising concert at The Royal Albert Hall in London. This outfit is quite different from her usual style. The skirt is much shorter than those she usually favours and we don't often see her in dark tights. The black lace tulip dress is by Zara and is worn with a black collarless 3/4 sleeve jacket by Ralph Lauren (another favourite of mine, previously worn the morning after her wedding with the dress in the first outfit of this set). I used ulkrhsn's 006 mesh for this outfit.

3. On February 8th 2012, Kate attended her first official solo public engagement, a visit to the National Portrait Gallery in London to view the new Lucian Freud exhibit. She wore an unusual double breasted coat dress by Jesiré featuring a knee length flared skirt, elbow length sleeves, an ornate belt and a striking shawl collar. She accessorised the dress with a diamond pendant, diamond bracelet (both included) and black suede Jimmy Choo platform pumps. Again I used mesh 150211 by BBKZ for this outfit.

4. The 15th of March 2012 was a busy day for Kate. In the morning she visited the Olympic Park in London and played some hockey. In the afternoon she visited the Dulwich Picture Gallery wearing a gorgeous grey Orla Kiely dress featuring a pleated knee length skirt, self-tie belt, 3/4 sleeves and contrast black floral appliqué at the neckline. The dress was worn with black suede platform pumps. Again I used mesh 150211 by BBKZ for this outfit.

5. And bringing us bang up to date, the outfit Kate wore on her most recent public engagement on 19th March 2012, a visit to the Treehouse in Ipswich, part of the East Anglia Children's Hospices group, which included her first taste of public speaking. She wore the Trina dress by Reiss from 2008. Reiss is not my favourite company, but I do like this dress. It has quite an eighties vibe, being electric blue, knee length, double breasted and worn with a thick black belt. The dress also features an oversized statement collar and full length sleeves gathered at the shoulder with buttons at the cuff. Kate usually substitutes the belts that come with outfits for belts of her own, but on this occasion she wore the original belt. I think it goes with the dress very well. Again she wore black suede platform pumps. For this outfit I used Elena's Cocktail mesh, which I used previously in my Kate For Christmas set. This mesh includes a stonking pair of platform heels.

Upcoming Creations...

I've been doing a bit of everything lately but have a habit of procrastinating when it comes to taking screenshots so i can get my creations ready to be published! I have set some time aside to do just that this weekend so over the next week you should see a few sets from me.

I have a few girls t-shirts i have been working on as well as a set of bedding. The one i have pictured on the bed is my favourite out of that lot so far! I will also have a new bigger earring set (i know, i know!) ready by midweek i reckon. I put a few of them up here to see what will be included. :)

Alien babies

I've been thinking that my alien babies are grossly overlooked when it comes to decor.  My alien babies/toddlers & kids all end up with the same walls over & over......sooooo......been looking for some "pro-alien" sets.  I don't know HOW to make recolors of THINGS.....just walls & the occasional floor.....so if anyone who DOES feels so inclined to make some cute alien theme pictures or something I would be downloading for sure, in the mean time I'll just see what I can come up with in the way of some wall/floor sets that have green like them or some cute space stuff. ;)
