What's New!

I plan to start updating my Sims 3 beds next week for the Pets EP; I have 7 beds and 1 bathtub to fix so that their animation is no longer wonky in game. I have already patched my Sims 3 game, installed the latest version of TSR Workshop, "fixed" the custom content in my download folder, and next week, I hope to finally get around to installing The Sims 3: Pets EP on my hard drive. Wish me luck, my game is running great now and I'm afraid of "breaking it!"

Retro Modern Kitchen Etc., December 5th

Retro Modern Kitchen Etc., is a mini Sims 3 set (8 new meshes), which is scheduled for publication on December 5th. I finally completed the set's retro-styled dishwasher and trash compactor, and I have conquered my fear of geostates, LOL! The set also includes a working espresso machine, 2 pantry cabinets, and a few decorative clutter objects.

My Upcoming Sims 3 Projects?

My next project will most likely be another bedroom set, once I fix my older beds for The Sims 3: Pets EP. Depending on the popularity of the Retro Modern Kitchen Etc. set, I may create additional objects for the kitchen (another mini-set); I never get tired of creating kitchen clutter!

Cardboard Box Pet Beds - TS3!

Hi everyone! Just a small update to show that I've converted my Cardboard Pet Box from TS2 over to TS3. This is the "small" version, I will also attempt to enlarge it to the "large" size pet bed as well. Both the Cardboard and the Cloth (Newspaper) are recolorable, and there is a "clean" variation for those who aren't quite as evil!

Happy Holidays, everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that I put the new S2HBAA monthly contest up on the gorgeous new TSR Forums!  Because of the server migration, I was not able to get November's contest up in a reasonable amount of time, so the monthly contest is actually a November/December contest intead!  Hopefully this will give you some extra time to work on your lots.

Also, I'd like to offer those who are Sims 3 builders to join us as well.  I am not posting a separate contest on the Sims 3 forum section because the interest is not that strong, but if you are a Sims 3 builder and find the contest themes interesting, please do join us in the Sims 2 Forum section.  I will not turn you away!   :)  We're always excited for new participants in the contest, so please join us.

I'm back and eager to make new homes and mansions, maybe a few Sims as well. Only for The Sims 2, this computer would implode if I tried The Sims 3. Hello, people of TSR! :D

So...I know that even though I've been a member of this site for well over a year, I'm still kind of a noob to the whole custom content business XD but I'm definitely starting to improve; just looking at the things I made during spring of this year make me want to cringe >< 

Anyway, what I'm getting at here is that I want to start taking request-type-things. I make waalls, floors, clothing, jewlry, make-up, haiir; pretty much just stuff for body. I prefer to make stuff for teens, and I tend to stick to the emo/scene/goth look. So, if there's something that you want me to make, just tell me in my guestbook and I'll make it to the best of my ability ^^

Blog #10

 First off, I would just like to say that I hope that everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving. :) I naturally had a good one and ate too much as usual. Now I know that I said in my last blog that there should be another castle/fort up by now, sorry about that. While putting the finishing touches on it I discovered a small problem with it and had to fix it... and then got really mad at it and stopped working on it for awhile. It will eventually make it on here, I promise. Not only is that eventually on its way, but two other houses and a couple of painting packs. I am still also considering putting up a story or two on here but we will just have to see how that goes with Christmas coming up and all. This is my busy season with crafting and this year is going to be a little worse that usual because I usually am about 70% finished by now... but this year I was a little lazy. Ok, I was a whole lot lazy, and I am only about 45% finished with various projects. *hangs head* So I should be completely crazy by the time Christmas hits. But I will make sure to at least get the things that I have been working on out over the next couple of weeks.

Legacy news and bugs

I've recently missed my sims so much that to satisfy this hunger for simming I came back to something that comes easy - my sims 3 legacy! I had both pleasant and unpleasant surprises from the last time I played... No more "clock skips minutes" problem (at least not in my legacy save, I didn't have the courage to check other saves, too happy for now)! But something's VERY wrong with the maid service. Maids don't come any more. They used to come 3 and more at a time, now they don't come at all. I tried calling for services, but it says I have the service already "ordered", so I tried canceling. But it won't cancel either, I called about 20 times, still not canceled, they say they sent a maid out already. I just wonder, will it be the same if I need a repairman and don't have a handy sim around? Will the fireman or policeman also not come if I ever need them?

I guess I'll find out sooner or later... Other than that, hey - my legacy idea (rainbow colors) is on sims wiki! http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Legacy_Challenge Well, unless of course someone else came up with it, then it might not be only mine... But I know I didn't copy it from anywhere, I thought of it myself, a few years ago, while still with Sims 2 only.

I'm sorry I abandoned my chronicles for so long, but I am on my final year of studies and I have so many things to do and worry about that I can barely find time for playing. And chronicles are something that takes careful planning and thinking through. Besides, my Sims 2 game loads almost an hour... While Sims 3 loads fast and I just "go with the flow", no planning. I will come back to my chronicles, I promise, I miss them myself. So I hope there are still people who read... All this being said, I'm back to my legacy. It's 4th generation is at the age of teens already!

Chapter 3: DAMN YOU INTERNET!!!!!!

Grrr! I absolutely hate doing this! But chapter 3 is going to take a few more days. I wanted to have it out like 2 days ago but unfortunately our internet is COMPLETELY DOWN!!! It's all ready to go I just can't upload it.

Now before you go calling me a liar, because I am obviously using the internet to type this. I am using the internet on my phone as a hotspot but it's the end of the month and i'm addicted to youtube, therefore leaving me with little internet that is extremely slow!! Just think what you think is slow and then multiply it by about a hundred. I've already tried uploading this stupid blog entry 3 times!! Because my internet keeps cutting out, but this time I'll be sure to copy all this text and paste it somewhere else so I don't lose it AGAIN.

Can you tell i'm just a little annoyed?

Anyway so chapter 3 should be out in a few days. I did try to upload chapter 3 but it just kept timing out and I'd lose all the pages. So......it will be out soon I promise!! And there will be no more posts about late chapters!! Unless EXTREMELY unforeseen events take place. I mean honestly the internet sure picked a good day to crap out, it's like how often does that happen?!? Just when you really need to use it, it's gone. I think it's some sort of problem with the actual router or something, need to speak with the internet people.

I like pets, but I can never decide which to focus on. It can take so much time...

New Home Design Series

First, I would like to say that I am very new at submitting my home design work. I am still working on some things. Unfortunately, I do have to limit what I add into my homes because I don't have the money as of right now to be a paid subscriber. So if my homes ARE located in the subscriber only section, just know that I did try my best to make it so they would be in the free section, but I must have included something that put it in the subscriber section without realizing it. I'm still working on getting the hang of all of this. While I work hard on my homes, I certainly am aware that they don't belong in the paid subscriber area.

With that being said, I have finally settled down on an idea to do a specific home series. I'm going to do as much research on classic homes as I can (the first being the Classic Dutch Colonial) & then build them as best I can according to classic features. In the description I will include what the old school/classic features are. What I put in the homes I design may not be exact, but as any home creator here knows, we can only use what we have. I can't think of where I got this idea. I'd like to think that I'm that creative? But It is quite possible that this has already been done on here & I've seen it & forgot that I've seen it but remember the idea itself. So, if that's the case, please let me know.....

Going Home

I thought I should post an update for you all. I'm still at my parents' hobbling around on my broken foot and recovering from my massive blood clot episode. But I go in for a followup tomorrow on my foot and maybe I'll be able to start walking on it with one of those ugly boot things. I plan to return home this coming weekend once all the Turkey Day festivities have died down. I can't wait. I miss my bed, my TV, my food, my bathroom, my privacy... everything. With that will come a return to devoting time to my business so that will be less time for sims. I've been having a blast over this time period with the game though.

Some odd things I've noticed that scream "PATCH ME" are pets sending wedding gifts. That's just creepy. And my sims happily write them thank you notes back. What? You can't just walk over and pet the dog to say "thanks"? Do animals shop online? Maybe that's why horses run amok all over town. They're doing wedding shopping. Ah, makes perfect sense now.

Does the imaginary friend thing creep anyone else out? I'm sorry. It's got "Chuckie" written all over it. It's a bit odd when they're a teen size sack of crap standing there whining about playing this that and the other thing. And they have bad traits. Like kleptomaniac. Wonderful. Just what I need. Imaginary thieves. The burglar comes to my lots nightly the way it is. I guess they think it's Walmart or something. The guy gets beat up thoroughly every night by the cop, the butler, or the brave homeowner. Not to mention the dog chasing him around and the horse coming out stamping his feet too. Sheesh. Get a clue buddy. You're NOT going to get away with it.

Does anything bad happen if you just delete the stupid dolls? I have a household with six kids and 4 of them have annoying imaginary friends that have the wonderful talent for cancelling EVERYTHING in their queue repeatedly so they can have pillow fights. STOP IT! I want them dead. All of them. I'd hate to scar the kids by deleting their buddies but they're annoying. I hate them. Who's stupid idea was that anyway? We all need more disturbed children in our lives. Really. My sims take great pride in knowing all their kids are insane and talk to themselves and pantomime different activities. It's even better when the kids skip school because the stupid "friend" cancelled their queue.

Does every kid get one of those dumb dolls? One of my households has six kids and two never got one. My other household has two kids and one didn't get one. I really don't want any of my kids getting them. It's stupid. Get a real friend, not some make believe pile of crap from a Disney nightmare. And I love their names. Boinky, Buddy, Pal, Wiggles, Hesper, Patches, Peaches and Lord knows what else has come in my mailbox. And every one has looked different. Amazing. So much time and effort put into such an annoying addition to the game. Someone at EA needs to be shot. It's as much fun as the pranking in Sims 2 that ruined every relationship I ever built. I'm not a big hack user but I did have to get the one that removed that so my sims could live normal, happy lives instead of having flaming thought balloons of every sim they encountered. How many people carry around an endless supply of water balloons anyway? Who even carries ONE around? If you stick it in your pocket and it breaks you look like you peed your pants. Not cool.

Um, anyway, things are moving along for me as far as recovery is concerned. I'm spending my obscene amount of freetime playing Sims and Rift. The violent side of me needs to be nurtured too.

Kate In Canada Superset

A superset containing all four of my Kate In Canada sets will be published on Friday 25 November. This set comprises 19 items: 9 dresses, 2 coats, 2 casual outfits, 3 shirts, 2 pairs of jeans and 1 bag.

I love Kate's style and I have very much enjoyed trying my best to re-create these outfits as faithfully as possible - admittedly, with varying success! Some outfits were easier than others, but I always enjoyed the challenge. I hope that you (and your Sims!) have also enjoyed it. Please comment here to let me know which item was your favourite.

Instead of just sumbitting Take Care: Chapter 3, I'll sumbitt 3 and 4 in the same day and hopefully they'll both get approved at the same time. I want to add in Chapter 4 because it will be more exciting to read.

New earrings coming soon...

I've been busy the last week or so making another set of earrings for adults/teens/elders. This set is going to be made up of earrings from Michal Negrin, so very colourful with lots of flowers, crystals and beads. :) Hopefuly they will be uploaded in the next day or two! A few of the earrings in the set...
