You could use the teleportation cheat and save yourself some time.  Although I have to be honest every time I have used that instead of solving the problem I found myself stuck at a later point in the tomb.  If you want to cheat hold shift, ctrl, window and the "C" key simultaneously when you let up type in "testingcheatsenabled true".  Now you can click on the ground where you want to go and it will give you the option to teleport while the cheat is active.

The only way I have found across is by zenoportation or tranquil transference. In fact, there seem to be quite a few places that need either of those tricks up your sleeve. You'll also need at least level 5 martial arts skill and several spare sim hours up your sleeve as they need to meditate for around 3 hours or so for each zenoport. If anyone else knows a better way I'm eager to hear it !
