Bohemian Black Set - Comments Please!!!

Hi all! I've been working on a new set and I would really appreciate some feedback (good or bad!) as to whether you think it's any good and worth publishing or not. This is the first time I have attempted a whole room, and re-colouring furniture and the objects included. Some I am happy with, others I'm not so sure, which is where, hopefully, you come in! Please leave a comment, even if it's only to say 'Yuck, I hate it!' - I won't be offended and would rather know what you thought about it HONESTLY and TRUTHFULLY! So, here are a couple of preview pics of my 'Bohemian Black Living Room': The set consists of: Black & White Paintings x 9 (only 3 shown) 2 & 3 seater sofas End Table Coffee Tables x 2 (small & large) Plant Mirrors x 2 Table Lamp (only base re-coloured) Grandfather Clock Curtains x 2 sets Vase Rugs x 2 The walls & floors are also from my collections, but are not included. So, talk to me please!! What's good or bad? Should anything be added or removed? Should I publish or bin? Thank You, in anticipation - I look forward to your responses! Black Mad, Mad Cow!

Sorry me again, a little bit of repetition of a pattern also gives a feeling of continuity to bind the whole look together.

My two cents, I think the black and white theme is nice, but you have to be realistic, which seem to bring sims more to life. Even if you use black and white a plant must still be green and a dash of red somewhere, however small makes it come alive. A little black and white pattern, even on a vase will create a feeling of texture. All those curlies is quite in fashion nowadays, I am not sure what the real description is for the curlies, but in the background(in the middle) of my banner you will see a pink curly shape, have a look. Well sorry if I sound a bit too opinionated, I can't even do recolours. Wonderful try though. Keep up the good work.

I agree with everyone so far, a little white to break up the rug maybe and i would say on the seating too but to be perfectly honest I can't see how you could do it with the seating you chose, I think adding white to it would ruin it. I would say maybe a few white ornaments would help break the black up but great effort and great job, well done.

I agree with both of them, a bit of white in the rug and a chair, otherwise is great, get on with it, i want to see it up by the weekend.
