New lot Paradise Park Duplexes pubishes Friday and I have submitted my American Foursquare 1930 as well. Unless I have to work tomorrow I will be posting the first chapter of my Paradise Island story. It is my first custom hood and I am playing six different familes and will be introducing the founding three families story tomorrow.
PLEASE READ!!
There's a problem with the MH Kitchen island. I accidentally uploaded an older version of the file that has a GUID conflict with the Maxis Luxuriaire Dining Table. Unfortunately one of the wonderful changes to TSR involved doing away with the edit feature, so I can't upload the fixed file.
Apparently, they're working to add the edit feature back, but who knows when that will be. Instead, I've decided to upload the fixed version of the island to MediaFire.
Please download the new version of the island at this link: MH Kitchen Island
Sims 3
I was so looking forward to Sims3 - nearly since I quit Sims2 1,5 years ago.
There were some disappointing news about it but mainly okay (although I had expected a little more - like weather and seasons for example in the original game, not needing to buy an expansion pack later on, and some minor things....) so I pre-ordered my copy a while ago already.
Well, yesterday I read a detailed review from people who were alowed by EA to play an early version - wow, that was quite a shock... obviously I hadn't read any and every information available or I guess I had known about those "rabbit holes" for example or that you can't design your own neighbourhoods and many more things like that... But my way of playing the Sims - since Living Large came out! - was to have one neighbourhood with "normal" Sims, one medieval and old roman, one scifi, one creepy etc. etc.... and I tried to get everything in that neighbourhood as realistic as possible, so that my Sims from ancient rome don't have to go to a modern downtown etc.
So, I can totally forget about that way of playing. Even if I could have several neighbourhoods, they would all seem fairly alike because of that ridiculous rabbit hole nonesense! I am SO disappointed and sad about that!!! I was SO looking forward to this game!!!
I canceled my pre-order. I won't start playing Sims3.
Well, I will wait and see if maybe the fan-community can do something about it or if future expansion packs will change everything totally or whatever... but I guess that will take quite a while. Maybe I get lucky in 2010.
Working on a story.
I am working on a sim story that follows the life of one of my sim families. It might turn out to be like a bad lifetime movie. But whatever, keep an eye out for it!
Whats up, they haven't approved my last submission?
Somebody's on vacation or something?...What is up with that? I submitted the set late Sunday night, and expected it would be approved sometime on Monday, so it could at least be published today or tomorrow. Needless to say,I am more than slightly ticked. And I am not a crappy artist--I have seen worse stuff than mine get published, so I know it isnt that--oh, I'll shut up before I shove my foot even further down my throat--I have been ILL these last few days with some kind of hellacious stomach virus--I feel much better today, finally, but my mood is still a bit on the cross side, so I don't mean to offend the one or two whole people who actually read my blog. Sorry ;)
Got my new laptop.
Heey,
I just got my new laptop and I will start installing the sims soon. I hope it will work. I don't have much inspiration at the moment so it may take a while before I upload a new lot. Please check out my upcoming lots and download if you like.

Preview Picuture of Little Princess Bedroom, Part III, Cream & Yellow
P.S. I still have to create a cream & yellow recolor for the Little Princess Doll. She needs a new dress, lol!

Didja miss me? lol...
Oh, wow. What a nightmare, lol. Moved from California, to Arizona, left most of my sims and design stuff in storage...just now got settled, and found my stuff again. So, after about 6 months, I finally am able to start submitting again. I just now waiting on two uploads to be approved, a cautious attempt to undo the rust on my graphics chops, lol, called "Spring Leather Living", and a Texture Challenge nursery based on some nice textures by mightyfaithgirl. Both are waiting for Girl-from-Mars to get back from her vacation for uploading.
Now that I've gotten some kinks out, I'm working on a more elaborate
bedroom in black and white, that I'll probably be able to upload in a
day or two. And a few other ideas are mulling around. Sigh. Feels great
to be back in the saddle again, hehe.
