New projects pending approval
So i have been a little busy .. yes with life but also with creating. Because it is so frigid here in Southwestern Ontario, Canada right now i have little else to do at night except recolor and build lots :)So here is a list of some new stuff:
1. Twilight movie bedroom set.. consists of 2 posters and bedding
2. Outdoor furniture recolor set ( i hated the light wood/ whitish outdoor chairs etc ) so i made a very white set.
3. 3 new lots
4. White vinyl shower recolors with plain colored curtains ( 10 of 'em so far)
5. Single blind recolors.. the blind colors in the game are so lame .. they never match anything really ..so i made 9 VIBRANT recolors
PLUS a load of other recolors that are published and coming out this week!
Hope you all enjoy these and please give me feedback .. i always appreciate that!
Seasons Greetings!
Hi everyone, Just wanting to say Happy Holidays / Merry Christmas to all. :)New Stuff Soon...
Yes, I know it has been awhile. I've been very busy with school, so I have not created anything new since September. However, by the end of the week, I should have a brand new set submitted (I won't tell what it is yet). However, it won't be until at least Wednesday, after my last Final Exam, so this is just a heads up. I've had the chance over the weekend to make a couple of meshes, and I hope you will all enjoy them :)That's it for now!
Happy simming!

Hair?
Yep, I've recolored some hair. I have a set of five coming out soon.
They aren't perfect by any means - I'm new at this whole thing - but thanks to the unending patience of MsBarrows, I have four colors I'm reasonably happy with.
Four? But wait, there are five??? Yep, the fifth one, the Barak Blue that is the one in the set preview, was done for me by MsBarrows. Barak de la Sangre, the oldest sim in my legacy (he's from generation 2...I'm on Generation 12) has had blue hair since the beginning, and I wanted a better blue. I adore the K&B Gel Rock mesh, so MsB kindly obliged by recoloring the texture...but she made me assemble it into a package. She went on about how it's 5 minutes work to do the recolor....so I decided to try it.
Two months later, I have four colors. (Yeah, it's 5 minutes work if you know what you're doing!) With the exception of the "Blimey" color, the point of these is to be obviously a dye job (although some of these will work well on alien/fantasy sims) but not glaringly bright...and actually even the Blimey color isn't as bright as some I've seen. :)
They're binned custom, because...well, there isn't really a green, purple, or blue bin, now is there? They're adult/YA/Elder only, I've removed the other ages as the original mesh just has the short 'fro for those. (Thank you, Windkeeper, for the tutorial on that!)
Anyway, hopefully someone will find some use for them. :)
Finally!
Well, those four days off turned into covering shifts for others for two days, and then two days of running around helping my mom shop for Christmas and doing some of my own shopping. Then back to work. But I took today off, have tomorrow off, and will go back Wednesday. I spent the morning making some festive walls and floors that I hope you'll like! This amongst the cleaning and washing and decorating I'm doing. LOL There are three sets that are all part of a master set. Let me know if you like them or not!Preview, Regency RED Collection
Happy Holidays! I've posted a few screenies of my next set release, Regency RED Collection. The set is a recolor of fabric textures, from the Regency Dining Collection. Additionally, two new meshes are included with the set and maybe, a couple more new meshes, if I have the time. Take Care and Happy Holidays, Carolyn
New Poll and recolor
I added a new poll and will be uploading a Hallway recolor from Shakeshaft this week. So stay tuned.
A voice from the grave...
That's about how I feel, like something dead revived. I won't bore you with details, but 2008 has been a long rough year for me. I have come to discover that many things that used to annoy me are now counted as less than nothing when held up and measured against the real world. You see things very different after you spend any amount of time staring at your pulse on a heart monitor wondering if these will be your last moments on Earth. All the crap sort of peels away and you see what really matters. I finally realised that the Internet is the paramount venue for drama creation and propagation and that there is no way to fight it without being dragged on to the stage as a principal player. Something I candidly never wanted and am more than a little disgusted I didn't realise it until far too late. So I have started listening to my cat. She gives great advice, as cats often do. She sees the world in a very clear and concise way, it's all about her, which is only right, since she is the centre of the universe as far as she knows. Maybe I will make more things for The Sims 2, maybe I won't. But for the first time in many years I finally remember why I did all this in the first place. I did it to have fun. That's what I aim to do with the time I have: Have fun. Something I haven't been able to do for longer than I care to remember. So consider me retired from the thespian craft; my interests lie elsewhere, as they always did. Drama, like worry, benefits no one, achieves nothing, and is a paramount waste of everyone's time.
Serious Case of Insomnia
...'tis true. I am struggling with insomnia lately, especially tonight. It's 3:15am and I am still awake. I just get so frustrated when I go lay down in bed to go to sleep and I'm not the least bit tired. On a lighter note, I have an Andretti Update awaiting approval, as well as two new sets coming soon (Wednesday 12-17).
I am working on another recolor of Jope's Bedroom 8, a truly fun mesh. I'm going to start doing more sets with different textures other than the Texture Challenge textures. Not that they are bad...but, it seems that that all I'm putting out is Texture Challenge Sets.
Anywho...see you around, perhaps I'll go try and get some sleep...
