Tin Can Alley

Hello! I'm so sorry not to have been around much and thank you so much for the wonderful messages of support you have left for me - can't tell you how much they mean to someone like me who lurks unnoticeably behind piles of rusted metal.
I'm popping back briefly with a new lot - my first-ever winter lot too! Normally, when icy weather hits Britain, I can't think of anything more appropriate than a beach or jungle lot(!), but this year I've finally managed something snow-worthy for you. It's a two-bedroom home, fully furnished, with plenty of room to expand...
So, is there a catch?! Well, of COURSE there is! It's sort of, well, outdoors... In fact, your poor Sims will be living in an alleyway littered with junk and the worst of furnishings. However, I'm not a total meanie (much)! Most of the outdoor areas are, in fact, sealed indoor rooms, thanks largely to AnoeskaB's invisible doors and windows and a few 'crumbling-wall' windows of my own. Only the sofa/TV area is truly outdoors so your Sims won't suffer too much (just a little bit...cackle).
But it's not all bad, you know. I've been playing this lot for an entire, gruelling winter Sim season now and I experienced just one case of hypothermia with an ancient Sim who has nothing better to do than play 'snow angels' all day long. Adding a fire to the main bedroom soon toasted him! Anyway, now that I'm happy that an outdoors-looking lot actually plays properly in Seasons, I've put it up for release. I really hope you enjoy it (even if your hapless Sims don't)!
Free house choice
I wanted to put a free house over the Christmas Holidays...But, I was going to leave it up to you guys on which one will be free. (The house must be 3 months old or longer) So leave a comment here or PM me with your choice. The house with the most votes is free for that week!sims2supernova.com
Latley I've been sharing more of my creations on http://www.sims2supernova.com The reason being, they allow for some secitons that thesimsresource.com does not like CAS screens(which I love to make) and non-celebrity sims.S2S is a very fun place to be it's a great forum with tons of excellent downloads from very talented creators. The only thing is in order to view custom content and download you must first sign up.But it's very easy, much like signing up for TSR.It has features like a section for stories, and screenshots, as well as chat about the sims 2 or 3, and also spam chats about any topic. They also have a whole bunch of smilies that you can include in your posts, I mean tons, and tons of them. You can upload photos and also creations. For creators it's very great because there is no moderation queue. The only thing is you must upload using a third party site such as zommshare.com by clicking the insert link button on sims2supernova in your thread selecting http: and erase the http:// in the little area and then copy and paste your link given to you from zoomshare after you upload on zoomshare. And insert photos using photobucket by clicking on img code after it was uploaded to photobucket and pasting it into your thread. The photos in the threads are great because they are full size.I hope to see some of you there on sims2supernova.com in the future.Bye for now, and happy simming!Busy busy
I have got loads of houses to put on the site, I just don't seem to be able to find a spare five minutes to do it. Having a nearly nine month old baby seems to take away whatever time I used to have to do things and I seem to have even less time now than I did when I was working!Anyways, this is just a small heads up to the minute number of you that actually bother to read my blog :)
I'll be heading down to Devon on the 19th and won't be back until after Christmas so I'd like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope you all have a lovely festive season.
Merry Christmas!!
I would like to wish everyone here at TSR a very Merry Christmas and hope everyone has a happy and succesful New Year!Fingers Crossed!!
Me Again!Just to let anyone who's interested know that I'm up and running again, albeit rather slowly!
I've got my computer in a kind of test mode at the moment, so if I don't have any further problems over the next day or so, I'll be back and you'll have some goodies in time for Christmas!
So keep your fingers crossed - that's if you want any more stuff!!!!
Optimistically Hopeful Mad Cow!
