I will keep all of this information in mind while building. :) Fair Warning - Juhhmi the Slumlord Homes: I was just going to surprise everyone, but the shock might do you all in...so in order to prevent any heart attacks here's a little warning about an upcoming group of houses I'm putting together. First a little background... I entered a FABULOUS building challenge on the forums by the lovely Gamelia. In her particular challenge we had to build a home specified by another player. It was great fun, but MY challenge involved the building of a slum home. Yup. Slum home. The nastiest, dirtiest slum home you could make too. LOL! Well, since you can't have just one slum home, I am currently creating another couple of houses to go with it for a grand total of 3. These WILL have some CC. Sorry folks, but Maxis just can't make the items I need to build these homes. However, if...for some UNHOLY reason...you are interested in them, Cyclonesue makes some fabulous grimy bits and pieces that would decorate these homes in proper disgusting style. Here's a little picture of exactly how bad it's going to be. ;) Well, you can't say you weren't warned! LOL! Not to worry, I'll have some pretty contemporary homes started right after these are uploaded. Promise! --Illiana

Update to an Old Favorite

Update to an old favorite--Vintage Victorian Typewriter. The typewriter is cloned from the cheap computer and requires the FreeTime expansion pack. The FreeTime Victorian Typewriter is set for publication on June 1st.

One crappy summer

*Sigh*

So far, my summer break has been off to a crappy start. First, my London trip is canceled (thanks, mom!), and then my apartment complex, in its infinite wisdom, decided to that the way to fix the daily internet outages we residents have been suffering was to take the entire network down for one week. That one week turned into 3 weeks without internet. And even after all that rigmarole, there are STILL problems with the network.

For now, I am at my parents' home, only to visit with them and not to take advantage of their fully functioning high-speed internet connection.

Poll results & new project

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who voted in the "Joinable statues" poll. The results were as follows...

Winner -- Themed statues(Greek, Roman, etc)
2nd place -- Buyable statues(formal, swimwear, sleep wear, etc)
3rd place -- Celebrity statues
4th place -- Child statues

That means this week's project is Themed joinable statues. I have a variety of Themes planned -- Greek, Roman, Native American, Pirate, Hospital, and so on. I'll be posting previews as I complete the items.

Upcoming Series:

I have had a few people inform me that they would love to see a series of homes done in a contemporary style with matching elements. As I am first and foremost a creator for the players, I thought I'd give her a shot. ;) So here are some sneak peeks of the upcoming series I am currently working on. Bear in mind, these are just pre-test peeks so little things can change here and there, but the overall look will remain the same.

Contemporary Suburbia - A neighborhood series:

Plan:
4 Homes of various lot sizes and prices.
1 Community Lot - Mini-Mall
EPs: Uni/NL/OFB
They will all be Maxis only - No Custom Content (Yup, no CC)
They will all be fully tested before uploading.
They will all be fully furnished and ready to play!

Leaving Tomorrow

...tomorrow we head out. So, I won't be back creating until after June 8th. I'll still have internet access, but will be unable to play or create.

We're super excited about going to Georgia...it's going to be a lot fun...if we can get passed the family reunion!

Either way, just letting everyone know why my creating will come to a sudden halt! Feel free to send me PM's and comments and whatnot!

Wallpaper

I've been trying a lot of new things and am going to take a break from cloning and recoloring to make some wallpaper. Poll shows favorite themes to be 50s 60s 70s retro and gothic. I've got several cool sixties textures I'm working on and a few ideas for gothic papers, so check back.

I'm still around... I've been studying recently and am working hard on my final project for this year. I will be back in a few weeks' time :)

I'm probably the only person who's never seen this...

Today when I turned on The Sims 2 to check some of my new items in the game, I noticed something strange in the top left corner of my game. There, in all it's splendid pink glory, was what appeared to be a runaway Macy's Day Parade blimp. I think it was a pig, but I'm not sure since I couldn't zoom in on it.

Am I the only person who has never seen this before?
