Phew! 3 down, 3 to go!
I've finally completed the kitchen set of the Manor House Collection. This set was a tough one. There are lots of pieces and several of them with animations to complete.
Thankfully, I'm half-way done with the entire collection. I still have the Library, Parlor and Architectural sets remaining.
I don't know when the entire collection will be complete and ready for downloading, especially considering the Architectural set has approximately 100 million pieces in it. Hopefully, I'll be done before my final exams =]
MOONLIGHT-It Didn't suck..
But neither was it great. I am speaking of the new vampire/detective/fantasy TV series (CBS in the US CTV in Canada)It was predictable, and the female lead I found wooden, but let's talk about Alex O'Loughlin! He's an Australian TV actor who presence fills the screen, another tortured soul, who gets his blood in a six-pack plasma from his fellow friend and vampire who happens to work at a morgue. (He refuses to bite people) This series was created by the same people that brought you "Beauty and the Beast" all those years ago, and I can see the similarities already. (Girl gets in trouble, protector (beast/vampire) swoops in to save the day)
I have my doubts it will last, but O'Loughlin captures the essence of a conflicted, modern day vampire. And it doesn't hurt that he is quite handsome, (and tall) I sound so shallow!!
LOL!
It might be worth a look, but make it quick, Moonlight I feel, is not long for this world~
Oct 5th episode was a touch darker, apparently written by the guy who wrote episodes for "Angel". (which I have never seen) A little twist, the female lead 'Beth' the reporter rescued the Vampire, yummy Mick St. John, maybe they will alternate weeks...next week he will rescue her! (Please, no!) Female lead is still wooden and emotionless. I loved the last few minutes when she caught him sucking back on some plasma, 'Don't look at me!" he pleaded. Some potential there I feel will never be tapped...too bad.
What is this about 'silver being poison?' New one on me! LOL!
Have a great week!~~
PS: doing a happy dance, my beloved Boston Red Sox (baseball) have clinched the AL east, first time since 1995! Off to the playoffs! Wheee!!! Double WHEEE! The took the Angels in three straight games...off to meet the Cleveland Indians!!!
Lack of Updates
Sorry about the lack of updates lately. I've been pretty busy with real life stuff, and when I have time to create, I'm getting a few creator's blocks. Right now, I'm in the middle of a hotel (or 2, or 3) and I am having a bit of trouble getting them to turn out how I want them to. So, with my inner perfectionist stopping me, I've been delayed on those uploads. However, I do have some more community lots to be uploaded, as well as a few farm styled lots for you all. Both community and residential, the uploads ought to be submitted sometime this week.
Aside from this, I've got some new HC stuff, especially terrains. Look for those soon because the ltos will take me much longer to complete.
I'm really sorry for the lack of new creations!
Collection Folder added for Vintage Victorian Bedroom
Hi yall, LOL, I've spent waaaaaaay too many hours watching one of my favorite chefs on the Food Network channel. Anyway, I have just published the collection folder for my Vintage Victorian Bedroom set. The collection folder is now part of the set download, currently it can not be downloaded separately from the set. Thanks for being patient.Skin tones and normal maps
*blurg*
I just wasted a good week of my life trying to cobble up a genetic skin tone that had normal mapping (bump-mapping) and I have to tell you, the changes to the fast render engine in The Sims 2 has altered radically since the initial release.
I am not sure why but Body Shop crashes at the point where it starts to generate the preview of a new skin tone project with normal maps. The in-game CAS hates them a lot too.
Semloh managed to make a skin tone with normal mapping in 2005 that doesn't crash the game, so I am not sure what changed in the over-all structure of the package file, nothing I can readily see.
Another big bust is adding new sub-groups to clothing files. At this point, the envelope on developing new meshes that are more complex is looking bleak. I think if I am to make any progress here, I will end up having to make dummy files and use the repository method to pull textures. *double blah*
I am starting to think that the old ways are the best ways, just make what I know and be happy... but like all of the people who download custom content for The Sims 2, I find the same impulse. I start to do something in game and come to a halt. I need something that isn't in the game. And at this point, if it isn't in my game, that means I have to make it.
It's getting to be rather annoying that the graves I want to make for the Halloween set I am making will have to be clones of a hot tub... I don't especially want to make a huge file with all the over-head of a hot tub just so I can have an ornamental grave dug in the backgarden.
It's the sad truth that somewhere out there on one of 200+ web sites someone may have posted an answer, but I don't have the time to read 200+ web sites every day to find out. I am getting to the point I have to become rich simply so I can buy EA and make those guys make this stuff for me *wry laughter*
Then, again, with the negative responce I am seeing over Bon Voyage, I am seriously begining to wonder if even they would know how to make the things I want.
6 Million Downloads
Yeah!! WOW!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!The Six Million Downloads mark. I am so happy I could cry, actually, I did.

HAVE A GREAT DAY, I AM!!!!
KEEP ON SIMMIN'!!! & ENJOY!!!
I am employed!
I don't know if anyone actually reads this, but if you read about my job interview you might be interested to hear that they gave me the job at the end of the interview! It was really odd, one moment I was in a job interview, the next they were asking me which uniform items I wanted (trousers or skirt? wide leg or straight? t-shirt or blouse?) and wanted to know if I could attend training this Thursday, Friday and Saturday and start on Monday!I'm absolutely over the moon!
I'll have 3 days off a week, during which time I will make creating luvverly items for you to download here my full time job!
(Thanks to everyone who wished me luck at my interview!)
Urk
Whoops, haven't added anything here for ages so I thought I best have a quick update and let anyone whose interested know what I've been up to.Life's been a bit hectic just lately so I've not has as much time for the Simmies as normal. But, I have a load of houses stacked away just waiting for me to get round to uploading them, which should be soon.
Some of the lots I've been working on are little starter homes to give people some variety when just creating a Sim family and they'll be the ones I get uploaded first.
I've also done a set of three houses. Well technically it's the same house - a redo of the Maxis Bon Voyage Vacation Home - but in a decorated only, a part furnished and a fully furnished option so you can choose which one you'd like depending on the price.
