Finally!
Well...finally upgraded to a mini-site. After a few hours of hair-pulling and cursing...it's finally how I want it.Thanks, BlackGarden, Sceeter, Atwa, and Deanna73070 from the forums. Lord knows I needed and continue to need all the help I can get.
I know it isn't much...but, I definitely hope to keep my lots coming and definitely my stories...though I've slacked off on my legacy some. Apologies to my loyal readers.
Well...that's it. It's time for some chocolate...
Ambushed by Bon Voyage
Well anyone with as many things to his name as me ends up having to re-test all his goods and wares in every new expansion pack as it comes out, offer free technical support to all the people who use these things, and generally deal with the influx of a bajillion unrelated help requests.... so has it gone with me since the release of Bon Voyage. I can only thank God I had the wisdom to eschew making mods and hacked objects this time around. Then I was side-tracked by trying to figure out how I might add textures for additional sub-groups in a clothing file... still trying to sort that out, no clear success yet, but I am not aiming for a 255 group mesh, just a bit of whee-ha madness involving 12 layers -- so much for restraint >_<
I will be turning my attention back to my Lost American Highway project and top secret Halloween project... did I say that out loud? drat, I can't keep a secret! Expect some previews of both in the next few days!
Back at Uni
This week my vacation time finished... I'm back on my 4th year of Philosophy... A lot of things awaits, I'm totally petrified that this year I have to start at least thinking of writing my Final Paper to obtain my Master of Philosophy title next year. I want to focus on epistemology - my chosen topic is immagination. How does immagination help us discover the world and is it (or it's not) something really needed to do it right. I shall focus on Kant, of course, as in 'The Critic of Pure Reason' there is a first really comprehensive and complex 'theory of immagination', altogether with Heidegger's works on Kant metaphisics; I'd love to put some historical undestandings of immagination (Plato, Aristotle, Seneca and the Stoics, Descartes, Leibniz) and I think I should finish on Sartre and the existencialism. I'm afraid of including phenomenology (Husserl), because I'm simply not convinced to it, but we shall see... HannahSleepy Hollow: Trembly Cross Manor
This is a big house with many rooms but is on a small lot. I usually use the small lots because medium or large lots really slow down my game. Here are some pix for you.... and I love Cyclonesue's Spiral Stairs!
Diana Windows
This is a new collection of doors and windows that I hope to expand into several sets. Somewhat similar to my Tokyo set except this time the windows are full wall size, top to bottom. They also come with nice lattice style mesh insert. Some windows will have no glass making it possible to use them as patio windows etc. First set includes 8 frame wood colors.
TC Community challanged me- one more Romanza Set
I fell in love with the beautiful TC59 fall textures and tried it on the BbSL Romanza bedroom (with a few dashes of Caravanshop Arcan). A draft picture...
Thanksgiving & Autumn Flag Boosters
I decided to make some additional Thanksgiving and autumn flag recolours, since the original set containing these two themes is barely a handful large. Despite Thanksgiving weekend on the horizon, I managed to get this set rolled up and will be publishing it tomorrow, Wed., Oct. 3'07, so you can hopefully share them with your celebratory Sims over the weekend (assuming you haven't stuffed yourself with turkey until the sleepy chemical puts you to sleep). :P
The autumn flag 'booster' pack boasts an impressive 30 flags - what can I say, autumn is my favourite season! As such, it's going to take a while to upload and will be releasing later next week, Wed., Oct. 10'07.
I'm also hoping to do some more Thanksgiving-themed recolours if time allows tomorrow and throughout the rest of the week - I have some pretty harvest textures that I think would look smashing on some of the Celebrations objects so your Sims can decorate their houses for big family meals. We'll see how it goes. ;)
Medieval Times!
There is a wonderful Renaissance Faire in our area every year, so naturally I now have all these ideas for new Medieval clothing. I just made a new gown, sort of part Fantasy and part Medieval. I'm in the process of making versions of it for our Medieval Grannies and the Medieval kids. Hope you like it! ~ SueHallowe'en!
Well, as you may have guessed from the poll, it being the start of October has got me thinking about Hallowe'en! Thanks to all of you who've given me feedback so far, it's very helpful to give me an idea of which way to go with my Hallowe'en items.Anyway, I'm working on one hair set, and I also have a requested hair set to finish, but basically today I start making Hallowe'en stuff, and I'm hoping to get enough ideas to keep at it for the next 4 weeks. So, if you have any ideas for Hallowe'en items (especially Hallowe'en-y hair), PM me on the forums, leave me a guestbook entry, or comment on this post and let me know about it!
Sleepy Hollow: Kinney Cottage
A rather small home, moderately creepy with 3 bedrooms. Not bad for the location and price. Partial furnished ... but enough vitals to get your Sims going.
Thought I better add a front-on view so you can get a feel for how it really sets on the lot. Main entrance is on the left side of the house.
