Bella Fiori
I recently installed the Celebration! Stuff pack - a very appropriate wedding present from my new husband! This pack includes some gorgeous meshes which I couldn't wait to have a go at re-colouring. So here is my first set: six extremely feminine strapless summer dresses with an unusual wide elasticated floral waistband and layered chiffon skirt. The matching sandals are very cute.
The neckline and shoes are meshed on, so there is limited scope for changing the shape of the dress and I was disappointed to discover that the mesh doesn't have a bumpmap (I may remedy this at some point). I've lost my bumpmaps anyway, since installing Celebration! Stuff, which is frustrating. Any suggestions regarding how to fix this, please let me know.
These dresses are categorised under everyday wear and can be worn by adults and young adults. The required mesh comes with Celebration! Stuff, so you must have this pack installed for the dresses to show up in your game.
Neighborhood
I've been asked to make some neighborhood decorations. Well, I was quite scared at first because 'hood objects are different from objects for lots and I had very little experience in making them. Anyway, I spent a few days looking for material on the net and gathering some ideas and this is what I put together up to now. I've made a set of ancient buildings and artifacts, from Egypt and Easter Island, which will be ready and published in a couple of days, and another one (or two) will probably follow. I've seen the pyramids and the sphinx on MTS2, but I thought I could make a different version anyway. Never seen the Moai statues anywhere else instead.
Next ancient buildings will probably be from Rome or Athens, it depends on which of them will give me less trouble :) The Colosseum doesn't want to get textured at the moment.
I'm working on more "everyday" neighborhood buildings too, but those are in a very early developing stage at the moment and I don't even know what the finished set will look like.
I'm back
Hi all,I just got back from three lovely weeks on the seashore. Things went pretty well considering I went alone with a 4-year-old who likes to have at least one extended public tantrum a day and a 1-year-old who decided to have a total of 5 new teeth (three molar, two cuspid) in the last week alone *lol*.
I guess I'll need a few days to settle back in at home, tackle unpacking (and doing laundry *sigh*), and get some sleep, but I've already got quite a few ideas for new Sims stuff I'd like to make, and I'm really looking forward to that. Hopefully I'll find the time for it soon.
Thank you so much to everyone who commented on my stuff and blog and who signed my guestbook. I'll try to get back to all of you but it may take a while. When I logged in today I found the amazing total of 288 new comments on my creations alone, which really amazed me. Until now I don't think I ever found more than 10 or so at once ;-).
Oh well, I'm off to bed. Have a nice day everybody!
New Series on its way
Summer is a crazy time for me and so much is happening in my life right now, it's unbelievable. So the submissions have slowed down a little. But here's the beginning of what I hope will be several series.I love color. I love to play with it, mix it, change it, anything and everything. For me color conveys feelings and can make or break any living space.
The new series..."Just Color"...will focus on putting together different colors without the use of patterns. I'm going to start with walls and floors, then include curtains and wall hangings; furniture for living room, dining room, bedroom; then counters for baths and kitchens; then lamps, rugs, and anything else I can come up with! You can then mix and match to your heart's content! You can go monochrome for a classy look, or mix them up. Colors will be grouped so that items in any group will go together.
The first Just Color set will combine muted browns with blues and pink. Hopefully it will go up on Thursday or Friday.
Thanks!!!!
Harry Potter Collection - 4 Privet Drive
What would a Harry Potter lot collection be without the muggle home that Harry grew up in? 4 Privet Drive is home to Harry's Muggle relatives the Dursley family. Aunt Petunia is Harry's mother's sister and along with her husband, Vernon, and son, Dudley, they live in fear of anyone finding out about Harry's magical abilities. I hope you enjoy this latest addition to the collection, and since all the houses in Privet drive look the same you can even use it to create an entire muggle street.
Happy Simming :)
Strawbz
And now, senility!
Yes, senile.Well, that's what you'll no doubt think. Like all 'cyclonesue stupid tales' this one is so very true - I only wish it wasn't!
Today, I
Having thanked my mother for her card, she then asked me: "So, what are you doing tomorrow? Anything special?"
Tomorrow? Odd thing to ask. Here I am performing my it's-my-birthday duty call with my mother, and she asks me if I'm doing anything tomorrow! Answer: "Um - no. Going to get a puppy fitted with a
"Well, shall I call you tomorrow?" she then asked.
Understand here that me and my mother converse about once a month - if that, so why did she want to call tomorrow? We are talking TODAY but she wants to call tomorrow too for some inexplicable reason. "Well, if you'd LIKE to call me, then sure - it's always nice to chat," I bumbled awkwardly, "but you've had the birthday-call and all that now - no need to feel obliged to call tomorrow too..."
"But it's not your birthday today," said my mother.
That did it. My mother has hit THAT age, obviously. Of COURSE it's my birthday (with a zero in it). How could she not know this?! I know she was actually THERE on the day I was born, so I reckoned she must be going a bit senile or something and had got her dates muddled.
"My birthday IS today," I said, keeping my voice calm lest my mother needed to placed in a care home or something; no point in stressing her if I was about to break this solemn news to her. "27th June - my birthday! And now I'm about to get my birthday-meal!"
At this point, my not-at-all-senile mother burst out laughing!
I waited for something like ten minutes before she'd apparently picked herself up off the ground and dusted herself off. But I could tell she hadn't done laughing yet. "Today is the 26th!!!" she blurted before collapsing into more hoots of laughter. "Your birthday is tomorrow - check your calendar!!!"
And so, there you have it. My birthday is NOT today. I am spared the zero for another day. Meanwhile, my partner (who, I hasten to add, also failed to notice I'd named the wrong day) has spent much of the evening laughing (at my expense), no doubt looking up care homes for senile partners who don't even know when their birthday is!
Medieval Fairytale Wall Set
I used some of these walls in Boothby Cottage. I decided to rework the images a bit and added one new wall ... so if you want a complete 'matching' set of walls, you will need to download this batch. Boothby Cottage's wall are a bit different and will not match this set. Sorry, I didn't think ahead, but just on a whim decided to make a special set. Bad girl!
I know the 'towers' appear to slant a bit ... but they really don't in the game. The angle lens of the camera has distorted the perspective a bit. Bad camera!

Bannoch Village: Boothby Cottage
This cottage will hold a larger family. Two of the rooms I have left unfurnished for your individual needs. Maybe you'll need a nursery or a game room? Backyard is large and only has a couple of trees, so there is pleanty of room to add a greenhouse, pool or pond. A few pix for you!
