Ramblings....

I just published my first set as a Featured Artist...  I still can't believe I have a shiney Gold badge!!  I'm still amazed at the fact that a little over a year ago I was just stepping into this mess called meshing!  And, now, I'm addicted AND a Featured Artist here on TSR...  It's simply amazing! 

When I stumbled upon TSR YEARS ago.. and found out that there were objects that you could download and play with in the game... I was awed that there were people that could do this - make these fantastic objects -  AND.. that most of them shared their stuff freely..  I admit I refused to pay for a subscription for a LONG time...   and then I broke down and paid for a 3 month subscription!! LOL   I simply HAD to have CycloneSue's creations... yes, it was her fault!!! :D   Then, as I explored the site more and more... I found Cashcraft, and Riccinumbers... Angela...  Shakeshaft...  ShinkoKCR...  ohhh the list is endless.....  and so were my download lists!!!  And, I dreamed of someday creating my own objects... and I must admit I secretly wished to be a Featured Artist... :D (no kidding)  Then... I started reading tutorials and making paintings for the game...  One day I sent a PMs to Ricci  and Sue asking for help for something...  and the rest is history...  Sue and Cath dragged me kicking and screaming thru meshing and mapping...  texturing and shading...  baking...  (Simman_123) had a huge hand in that!!  Angela dragged me thru transparencies...  FA's and SA's alike answered my questions patiently and with perfect clarity...  And... here I am... still completely amazed and utterly honored to have been chosen to be a Featured Artist for TSR!!!

I want to thank Sue and Cath, Angela and Renate, Gea Kris Ana on and on and on!!  For everything... the patience, the kindness...  and A HUGE thanks to Thomas too...  and the rest of the hard working staff at TSR for allowing me to share my creations here!!!

Shutters revision 2

Matching shutters for Rise High the Window has been updated to revision 2. Rev 2 enables 2 recolourable channels instead of 1. Also for the 2x1 shutters, the Environment score has been lowered from 3 to 2, and the price has been raised from 160 to 180, so that they match EA's pricing policy.

At this point I am unable to create anything, so there wont be any new uploads for some time, not until I get a new computer.

My creations and bookmarks

As like any fanantic I create quite a lot of sims and houses but I'm going to actually start looking into designing my own pieces for the sims like clothing and hopefully other items :D looks like hard work though! Hopefully I'll pick it up quite quickly.

For the meantime I'll just create sims and credit others. I tried to upload a cc free sim just now but it said only sims at this time. I guess I'll try again later. She's not a fantastic sim but it would be nice to have a creation on my profile!I have lots of cool houses I've made but I need to check what cc I've used on them before uploading. I wonder if there is an easy way to find out? If anyone actually reads my blog and knows, let me know thanks!

So I haven't uploaded anything for you guys to download yet but I'm being bookmarked which is really really cool, thanks a lot! I have nothing to offer you guys yet other than a big thank you for all the stuff you create which makes my simming better!

Still haven't managed to properly play sims yet... Think I've got sims block like writers block! lol Maybe after building a few houses I'll get my sims mojo back :)

patterns!

I created my first pattern! yay!!! it was really fun too and I was so proud of myself! I think it looks really good!

It works it works!

Firstly i had to buy a new graphics card, which although no problems before, EA support was lacking as it wasnt one listed on their own game specs.

after many false startes and uninstalls and reinstalls, they suggested the following: (pasted directly from my email from them)
We are going to use a very easy and helpful tool named REVO to make sure that we get The Sims 3 100% off your computer. This will allow us to start with a clean installation of the game, fixing many issues.

Please keep advised that you are going to use the Free Download copy of REVO. You will not need to purchase the program at any time. (revouninstaller-dot-com)

Once we download and install REVO go head and start up the program and follow the instructions below:
1. Right click on the Sims 3 Icon, select the option to Uninstall
2. Once we select the Uninstall option go ahead and select the Advanced bubble and click Next
3. It will now uninstall Sims 3 and then scan for left over Registry files
4. Make sure only to check the BOLD Registry Files and then select the option to Delete them
5. Click Next
6. It will now scan for left of files and when can press Select All and then press Delete to remove them
7. Click Next or Finish
8. Follow instructions 1 to 7 until we have all Sims 3 Expansions removed as well
9. We can now close out of the REVO program

We can now go ahead and re-install your Sims 3 game and Expansions in the order below:
1. Sims 3
2. World Adventures
3. High End Loft
4. Ambitions
5. Fast Lane Stuff
6. Late Night
7. Outdoor Living
8. Generations

If you do not have one of the Expansions you can go ahead and skip that one and install the next one on the list you own. Once we have everything installed, we can start up the game and see if this helped get the issue resolved. Once we have started up the game, we can then exit out of it and follow the instructions above to recover your save data.

Once i did that, and Put each EP and SP into the DEP settings... I also included the launcher.exe file from the latest EP (in my case Generations) in the DEP settings also as the launcher also runs in the background of the game, it has to if you can purchase stuff from the store whilst playing the game)

My User Account Control setting is still set to OFF.

My game now runs! I do hope that anyone else having such issues, will also try the REVO, and DEP settings including the launcher... you never know, it could help you too!

Job Hunting....

We just moved to another state since my hubby was transferred through his job, so now I'm job hunting vigorously. As a result, I have felt the need to ban myself from all of my gaming until I am successful in the hunt. I do, however, have more lots to upload and plenty of future Simming plans, so once I am gainfully employed, I will probably come back with a vengeance. In the meantime, enjoy your gaming and think of me! *sniff*

I cannot wait for sims. I should have it by 20th July. Should have it.
