AGAIN... back with the story Bug...err.. blog

It probably is not an easy task but I see nothing has really changed in the story department. About featuring a story for 2 or 3 days and giving every featured story that chance?

 I'm back with this blog.

Although for many simmers the story section is not very important, it is for a a number of people. Giving us a platform to share our stories, we also feel it should be important to update regularly and with a reasonable amount of time someones story is featured and new stories to read on a daily basis. Sometimes a story is featured for just a couple of hours, other times, a story will be on the index page for days. It is not that no stories are submitted, but it feels like stories are an unwanted child,. You have to take care of it, but it is not given the love it needs.... With all due respect, ... if we are going to have stories on TSR and the chance to be featured with our creativity, it would be nice if someone would take control and do something about it. Too bad some of the best storywriters took their stories to their own blogs. Who is the story moderator today? I don't know. I don't know who to turn to if I have questions about stories. Please TSR... You would do us (story writers, readers) a big favour to embrace this neglected child you put in to this world....

New house

I've got the sims 3 on new lappy so I am now building again. It will be a little while before I get back to doing the mansion i was doing before hand. Instead I am now doing Hogwarts. But not just any old hogwarts. I'm using the ability to create tombs to make things a bit more exciting for those that walk the hallowed hall of learning. Take part in the adventures for the Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets and even the Tri Wizard Tornament. Find the things you need to advance the story of your very own Harry Potter. I've been testing a few of the things I've done so far and they work. So it should be done in another few weeks since i know need to plan where everything goes properly.

Update on Me

Hi all

Sorry for being away so long, life has gotten hetic, my dad went into hospital so I've been dealing with that and with my own health problems. Not only that but the laptop I was using with the sims 3 on went BOOM! So i have a new one but I've lost all the houses I was doing as well as the family for my story. I will be trying to do another one soon. Sorry for making you all wait so long.

Finally!

I finally resolved my technical issues with the game and found some time to get some shots of my newest lot, Ayesleigh. It's due out tomorrow. Woot!

Ayesleigh is considered Gothic Revival style. At least that's what the floorplan it's based off of says. It's not my usual style so I thought I'd go outside the proverbial box and push myself. Even though the roof was a pain in the arse the outcome was worth it. The kitchen and family room layout work really well for sims. You know how they all like to huddle together and be in the same place more than you want them to. Normally I would not build more than a 2-car garage, but this plan had one for 3 and since driveway restrictions are a thing of the past I went for it. If you don't need it for a garage, put all that unsightly hobby crap the sims want and need in there. I can't think of a better place for the sculpting thing or inventor bench. Anyway, the lot turned out pretty nice. The sim I have in it seems happy enough. He hasn't got the family thing goin' on yet but the house is ready for it.

I uploaded a few of my screenshots from Sims 3 recently. Just some goofy stuff I caught on "film". Take a look if you want a giggle. Laughter is the best medicine.

With the long weekend, I was hoping to get my next lot done, but we'll see. With the endless decorating options in Sims 3 it takes me considerably longer to get a lot done to my liking. I have a lot of fun in the process though. Having my woodwork match throughout an entire lot gives me warm fuzzies. It's a disease, what can I say?

And just so I don't forget, everyone have a safe and happy Independence Day!
