Sorry for the misspellings

Hey!

I wanted to apologize for my spelling mistakes in my stories, I tend to write really fast and don't usually notice the mistakes as on my PC almost every word is underlined (probably because I write in a different language than the computer is "running" in).Sometimes I also write at night and am a bit tired. So once again, I'm very sorry and hope my misspellings won't disturb you to enjoy my stories ;)

Birthdays and Other Stuff

hello again

It was my little sister's birthday on the 5 of June. YAY!!! She turned ten and had a really good birthday party. We even hired a bouncy castle!

Also we had a half term. It was a lot of fun, and we swam a nearly all the time  (we always spend most of our holidays in Holland). 

I had both of my violin and piano exams. They went really well.

There was also the Summer Fair, which was a lot of fun, even though I burnt my fingers.

Today we're having sports day.

It's just me, I'm afraid. Sorry to disappoint you all, but I have this tendency to make dramatic entrances when I'm about to make small announcements that no one reads.

After a year of inactivity at TSR, and after reading this awesome review Strawbz made of Sims 3 Ambitions (http://technology.iafrica.com/games/pc/2471620.htm), I have resumed my gaming activities. You can expect to see this minisite being updated frequently with new stuff, so stay tuned! :)

Upcoming Stuff

I am going to be creating sports-themed painting collections for The Sims 3. I am going to start my life and my passion: lacrosse. After that, I'll do Football (American), Football (Soccer), and Basketball. Then, depending on demand and requests, I might do some more. Expect the first one (lacrosse) to come out by the 4th.

( I'm surprised I thought more people did do recolors at least for personal use. Dose this also mean that there is a 50/50 proportion of artists / non-artists as a whole using this web site???) I use Photoshop pro but was debating on purchasing "Eyecandy" (which looks totally awesome but is expensive), Not 1 person surveyed uses it so I guess it's not worth the $, I'll stick to what I have.

Question: Do you Prefer:      separate mesh with multiple individual recolor file options:  23%

                                          All in 1 file: Mesh and multiple color options:  69%

(Cool, that's how I like doing them. recolor packages are good too but more than 1 option per file helps keep the file list small.)

Question: Which is more critical to you:      Low memory usage (Less detailed - refined textures):  25%

                                                             High quality detailed textures (requires more memory):  72%

(Cool, I definitely prefer doing quality work. Although I also try to keep memory in mind, quality always wins out for me.)

Mostly that question was posted to determine whether or not I should use raw 24 / 32 or DXT1,2, or 3 for the image format in SimPE. Raw gives much better quality but the DXT options reduce memory)

Question: what do you think of the texture repository method (AKA: Master/Slave mesh system):

                                                      I Love it:  25%      (x4 pnts)  =  100 pnts

                                                      I Like it:  17%        (x2 pnt) = 34 pnts

                                                      it's OK:  45%          (x1) = 45 pnts

                                                      I don't like it:  6%    (x2 pnt) = 12 pnts

                                                      I Hate it:  2%          (x4 pnts) = 8 pnts

Positive: 134 points      Neutral: 45 points      Negative: 20 points

Overwhelmingly in favor of the master / slave system  :(    (personally I don't like it for most applications)

NEW SIMS 3 SITE COMING!

In October 2010 a new site will be created with Sims 3 screenshots and videos. I will publish its name. Go and see my screenshots!

( I did this because I have 900 screenshots and 300 videos. It's hard to put them to this site, so I will put them to a site I will make) 

PROBLEM!

Please answer! I downloaded The Sims 3 World Tool and when I install it is says that I should update The Sims 3.

When I try to find an update to download, I realise that noone of the updates could update my game, because the updates start from a higher version of the Sims 3. I don't know what to do! Please someone answer! I really need your help!
