 Today I'm gonna ask you what you think about a dress I have made. I made it for a couple of months ago with GIMp and my mouse. I just fixed the seems for some weeks ago when I got PhotoShop and a drawing plate :)

New Account & Happy Valentines

I've just moved to this new TSR account, because I got bored of my boring old name: xxMazzy. I wanted somehthing more creative, memorable and fun. I'm going to be uploading some sims and lots in the near future, as well as some spiffy accesories for your sims. I shall also be continuing with my David & Goliath collection, as well as my skintones and eye colours. I hope that you can enjoy my new account even more than my old one- I know I will! Anyway, I'm off. Custom content doesn't grow on trees you know! =] Also, I hope you all have a great Valentines Day, whether you're in a relationship or not!

Ok, so I haven't wrote in a while...

...so here I am...

Firstly, I've got that poll on my profile page..the snow, if you like or not! Well I'm not sure how it's supposed to work, I kinda thought that it would be on there for so long and would then be over, and I could post a new one..so I'm guessing now that it runs as long I want it and then I just change it for another one..so, thank you for everyone who participated in it, the general concensus seems to be that most people like snow :-D..at the time of this going to press 31.25% don't like snow and 78.13% do like snow...which I work out to be overall 109.38%!!! Not sure what happened there, though I admit I participated and I clicked both yes and no!! :-D

Secondly, I have been going through my comments on my screenshots today and replying to everyone, and ticking them off as read as I go along, BUT, I still have two showing as Unread :-o...not sure why! I have had one showing as unread for some time, but now have two! Could this be because someone deleted a comment but its still showing on my page as being unread even though it's no longer there? I'm baffled! (which doesn't really take a lot ;-) ) Also, I love getting comments on my screenshots ;-), but I have been a bit busy recently(again!!) so it's taken me a bit longer to reply to everyone and I'm really sorry about that..I do appreciate every comment :-).

Hopefully I'll be starting a new lot soon, but I really have no idea what to do quite yet, but I am leaning towards something modern so I can use the new stuff pack objects ;-)...

But I have been playing a bit and I'm still laughing at all the expressions my Sim comes out with...

Anyway, hope everyone is having a great weekend ;-) and you've all got stacks of Valentines cards :-).

New tutorial in the works, and it's geeky!

Since my mad uploading for the recent Yard and Gardens theme (or was it Gardens and Yards?  Or something...) I've been a bit out of commission on creations because my attention was forcibly routed (drat!) to writing a beginner's tutorial on making all those horrid DDS images for objects some time back.  A new meshing tutorial is in the works by Riccinumbers, so this tutorial has now become urgent rather than "do in 2014 maybe", so I thought I'd best crack on and add the final pages...

The tutorial is fully comprehensive, concentrating mostly on WHY (which is often missing in "now do THIS" tutorials).  For example: why images are the size that they are, why an alpha is sometimes needed (what it does and how to make the stupid thing).  It will cover all the main images including how to make a multiplier from scratch, who-cares-about-baking, understanding the rotten specular, doing just TOTALLY amazing things with the RGB Mask - really! (well, I thought so)  And it's all aimed at people who really couldn't care less about having a rubbishy old brain instead of a multi-core processor in their skulls!

But, for all my fellow grunge-fans, I have not abandoned you.  I've made something else shiny for the upcoming (yes, it really IS coming at last) Factory bathroom set.  There are two versions: this one pictured with a worktop, and a version that has no worktop (just bolts to the wall in that "Vandals - break here!" way).

And I have been given some fantastic ideas from you!  Thanks to all those of you who've messaged me with your very cool thoughts.  Often, I'm bad at requests, but I'm on the course of thinking old boilers (and working furnace fires), decorative industrial chimneys, industrial posters and signs (again), basement stuff like tanks and fuseboxes, recreating my pipework from Sims 2.  Posptponed (for now) are remakes of my gas cylinders and gas pump sets (I've had a surprising number of requests for my gas pumps - didn't think you liked those!) because similar creations have just been uploaded (therefore I will remake mine later in the year).  

Also on the further-down-the-line list will be my round walls (they'll be decorative rather than REAL walls of course, something that resembles my Bang-On-A-Can series, the Never-Ending Windows - which are on hold until a particular bug is fixed in the Workshop), and likewise the Mariner Roofline windows (30-degree angle sets).

Writing this has been a wonderful distraction from writing about Stencils.  Now I've run out of chat, I have to return to the task.

Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!

So what's up? As I have stated before, my time for playing has been curtailed somewhat lately, but has been easing as I get more accustomed to my new work schedule/4 year old's school schedule. However, I have been using that small amount of spare time to learn some new things! Yup, I am learning how to make meshes and make worlds! Meshing is a much more involved process than I had ever suspected, and creating worlds is a layered mess. Yes, it can be done, but the file sizes are enormous! I am hoping we find a way to make them a little less large for easy sharing on the site.

So, what does all this mean? Well, it means I haven't had a whole lot of time to be on the site, nor to answer your wonderful comments. :( That's something I have always prided myself on! I do appreciate your patience, and hope you'll understand that I really want to concentrate on these new aspects right now. I am hoping that once I have a better handle on these major projects I will be able to be around a little bit more. :D Does this mean I don't appreciate your kind words, and critiques? No way! I love knowing that something I made helped someone enjoy the game more! It just means that, for now, my time's a little shorter than I would like, and that I WILL eventually get to them all and still personally thank each and every one of you for your thoughtful messages!
