Christmas Wishes!
Hey everyone, thank you all so much for the lovely festive wishes you've all been sending. I'm so busy at the moment that trying to get back around all the people I should be writing in their Guestbooks just isn't going to happen.
So I'm writing my blog to wish everyone the best Christmas ever and hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Here's hoping 2010 brings everyone good fortune and all they wish for. We've not been able to put our Christmas tree up this year due to a lack of room but we've got some Christmas decorations up and a lovely Poinsettier in the window.
And I have a new picture of the wee boy to show you all. He's excited for Christmas but isn't quite sure why everyone else is excited and I am looking forward a lot to seeing his face when he spots all the presents this year at my parent's house.

Starting my legacy
I started my legacy a few days ago. I will be uploading screenshots of my founder soon hopefully. She has already reached level 7 of the business career.
Her house is so pathetic. It is getting better though. Last night she had enough money to build a second bathroom, livingroom, and a childs bedroom. They arent furnished yet, but they have wallpaper, doors, and flooring.
I have to go wrap some christmas presents.
Downloads not showing up in game?
He everyone. I haven't had too many reports of content mysteriously going missing from the game so far - but now they are starting to come in more frequently. This issue is because of the latest EA patch, in their attempt to.. do whatever it is they were trying to do. Supposedly there was speculation they were trying to disable any non-store content. Anyways, there is currently no solution to this - at least, no solution that we creators can implement - to make the content show up again.
I do not have this patch installed, and am using a previous version of Workshop, so my game is still functioning and I do intend on continuing to create content, just not quite at the same rate - seeing as apparently half the people who download something won't be able to see it in game. Please be patient, we just need to wait for EA to fix it!
New home submitted today
I just submitted a new house I've built, and I have my fingers crossed that it shows up alright for people with patch problems.
It's a small-ish place designed for a bachelor(ette) who loves to party, strangely I had Don Lothario in mind while I was creating it.

I haz new laptop now?
It turns out my laptop is beyond repair but they can save all the files so they can transfer them to my new laptop. To summarize, I'll have a new improved laptop and my old sims 2 files if all goes well. YAY! But I've just gotten a new laptop and my old files are getting transfered tomorrow. Updates may come back!

Wow. What more can I say?
I went to see the new movie, Avatar, last night and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The effects were incredible, the idea was original and, although it went for around three hours, it was completely entertaining. Now, I'm not a big sci-fi fan at all but you don't have to be to see this. It's got a wonderful storyline with a bit of romance and it definitely gets your imagination working, but the effects just make it that something else. It's also got our own Aussie as the starring role, Sam Worthington, and he did a wonderful job. James Cameron was the director of Avatar so we shouldn't have expected anything less than extraordinary. His last film was the highest grossing film of all time, Titanic (need I say more?).
I recommed everyone go and see it, even if it's just to see what all the buzz is about! :-D
TUTORIALS! TUTORIALS! TUTORIALS!
Hey guys - most of the messages I get are from people wondering how to make an attached garage. I have three tutorials on Youtube under my screen name KBradley03 (just search and you'll find me). One is a video of the old method I used, and two are detailed slideshows. One shows you how to make simple attached garages (a SUPER easy method, the one I use now) and the other shows you how to make attached garages that are on the side of a house, instead of in the front (a little more advanced). In addition to those, I also have a few other tutorials for other building techniques that are easy to follow (attics, dormer windows, sloped driveways, etc).
