TMI!!
Too Much Information indeed - not the way my daughters mean when they exclaim this (it's a parent's duty to embarrass their teenage offspring, what?) - but my poor head is spinning after all the info I find here while I'm trying to get all the different programs sorted to create new stuff. I have an 'aha-erlebnis' every other moment :D. I discovered by browsing the forums that my Sim hadn't grown big hips overnight, but that something's screwy with the meshes, so my maxi skirt doesn't make her bum fat after all. http://forums.thesimsresource.com/showthread.php?p=3864121
And what I would really like is find a very clean-cut rule-of-thumb of what can and what can't be done with linking and uploading - I've seen so many do's and don'ts I don't know my front from my back :P I just hope the link to the forum page above is allowed as the link icon is greyed out :S
Sims 3
I officially have bought the Sims 3 for the second time, haha :-) I have posted my first Sims 3 screenshot and am having fun downloading lots of custom content right now. Then once I am happy with everything I have, I will have a bit of fun playing around and will sometime get around to starting my new story!
Kudos Reward Items
Thank you to all who responded to my question about which expansion the kudos reward items were for. I appreciate it greatly! Unfortunately, I deleted the blog before getting a chance to answer each response individually. Sorry! My fingers are too quick for my own good, sometimes... Anyway, let me take this opportunity to say "Thank you!" to all who answered.
Moving on with the set
I've been home from work for 2 days with a slight cold. This however didn't keep me away from meshing and it also explains why I have done so much in the last couple of days. I've completed the mirror for the set, no picture though and now I'm working on a dresser. The mesh is finished also the mapping, which took longer than meshing the object itself. I've got it in the Workshop still, done the ddsfiles but need to add more on the multiplier. But I have a picture from the Workshop at least of it.

What I've got so far:
- Double Bed
- Endtable
- Tablelamp
- Room Divider
- Mirror
- Dresser
Thinking what else can I do, some deco maybe. A painting and maybe curtains.
Have a good night

Back To Creating!
It's been a while since I've created anything, and I know a few people have been disappointed by that, but hopefully all of that will be changing!!
Unfortunately, I won't be creating for Sims 2 anymore due to circumstances beyond my control, but now I've finally discovered how to make paintings for Sims 3, I'm hoping that will become my new forte - for the time being anyway (anyone who knows me, also knows that one thing tends to lead to another and another and another......... !! - so who knows what might happen!).
Anyway, I just thought I'd do a quick update - yes, I am still alive and kicking (just!) - and all being well, my first S3 paintings submissions should be out soon! ;)
If anyone has any particular requests for me to convert any of my Sims 2 paintings for Sims 3, please leave a comment either here or in my GB and I'll see what I can do! ;) :D
New Poll - Thanking the Artist
Morning Simmers! I have a posted a new poll and it's in relation to when you download creations and whether you 'thank the artist'. I wouldn't really put myself in the artist catorgory yet but for all the other artists that put alot of hard work and effort into their creations I think that it is important to thank them for it. I welcome all members to please vote honestly on this poll. I admit even I sometimes forget (if I'm in a download frenzy!), but majority of the time I do thank them.
Thanks for voting & happy Kudo's!
P.S. And don't forget to Thank the Artist next time!
Current Poll
Hi everyone!
I've posted a new poll regarding your preferences about content for TS2 or TS3. I myself still have TS2 as well as TS3 - I'm sure some other people still have both as well. I know there are some people who have moved on from TS2 completely and only play TS3 now, and people who have stayed with TS2 rather than moving on to TS3.
In regards to this, kind of unsure what game I should be making content for! I have no preference, seeing as I play neither game - I'm asking for your opinion instead.
Based on download numbers, it seems the majority of people are downloading content for TS3, as content for TS2 is rapidly declining. Everyone, please vote!
If results show that TS3 is the most dominant, as I think it is - I will continue on the way I am. Making sets for TS3 and converting some of them to TS2 based on difficulty and how much time I have. If results show that there are still a lot of people who want new, exclusive content for TS2, I'll make a few sets that are just for TS2.
As I get results, I'll update you all with what my plans are!
Eaglewood Run
I've just completed a new small lot for Sims3, Eaglewood Run. This beautiful home is sophisticatedly styled with many traditional details, yet is still fresh and modern. This 3 bedroom, 4.5 bath pool home is on a small 30 x 30 lot, and is constructed and decorated to the high standards of Qube Design.
While looking stately and elegant from the curb, this home features an innovative plan with a fully developed basement with garage, home theater, gym and laundry room. Essentially two wings separated from a large foyer and hall space by two glass 'light bridges', this home is perfect for a young, growing SIM family that will still offer the busy parents a quiet, peaceful retreat. For the design thesis, I thought about how this young family might live and chose classic, timeless pieces, and utilized a compound colour scheme to compliment the abundant use of natural oak through out. Large, graphic patterns in muted colours make a bold, modern statement yet provide a high level of quiet elegance and serenity. In dealing with a smaller space I've also utilized many mirrored walls, ideal for visually expanding the space and reflecting light around the rooms. Upon entering, you are greeted with a large oak-panelled foyer, opening to a large hallway with oak staircases and a 3 storey wall of glass overlooking the pool and garden (definitely NOT what you were expecting from the large stone front porch). To the right, across one of the light bridges, is a large family kitchen, breakfast nook, powder room and formal dining room. The kitchen features a funky, fresh approach to the usual boring kitchen cupboards, and there are wonderful French doors out to the terrace which overlooks the pool. To the left of the foyer is a beautifully styled living room and a warm, cozy den. Why not curl up that chair and read a good book? Downstairs to the basement, you will notice that the rear of the house features a full walk-out basement that opens to the sparkling pool. The long corridor has been stripped of decor colour in order to serve as a spectacular art gallery. At one end lies a large, sound-proof media room with marble fireplace and spectacular gold-leaf painting (thanks to Xerenity at simnational.com), and at the other end is a home gym with ensuite, which could be converted to another bedroom or study. There is also a full laundry room with washer and dryer (thanks to Melcaramel at www.toolregame.com), and an enclosed garage. Upstairs, this home has been smartly designed with a 'children's wing', featuring two bedrooms with attached ensuites, and a separate (and quiet!) 'parent's retreat wing', featuring an elegant bedroom with marble fireplace, and a sumptuous marble bath designed to spoil you. Why go the spa? Sit in your large tub and enjoy your beautiful garden. Another innovative design feature on the upper floor is the twin study alcoves in the upstairs hallway - ideal for completing homework while under the watchful eyes of the parents. Special thanks to www.simsartgallery.net for their amazing picture mods, and www.stylistsims.net and mangosims2.free.fr for their new beautiful furniture collections. Also, great thanks to the inspiring game mods available at www.modthesims.com, especially Lemoncandy for the plant recolourings and Srikandi for the mods available in build-mode, and the FreshPrince for the beautiful new Lexus IS F (I love this car!!!! but don't worry, there's still room in the garage for a Prius). More thanks to 'SimsLulamai' for the custom bath fittings and new curtain meshes. Finally, thanks to all the brilliant content artists here at TSR. Specifically Shino&KCR and Angelamveliza for their beautiful bath fixtures, Mutske for his plants, Pilar for his spectacular mirror and classic dining chair (my favourite design pieces). All the artists here at TSR are amazing! Please enjoy this beautiful home from Qube Design. Available Oct 30th.

Submitted my first item of clothing for TS3!
It's just a simple t-shirt, but I followed the tutorial I used word for word and was very careful, so I was able to program in channels, so it's fully recolourable! I think my brain's going to turn to mush after all of that concentration. I seriously, SERIOUSLY admire you guys who are making clothes all of the time - I guess it's probably second nature to you when you've been making clothes for a while, but when you're first starting out like me, your brain is screaming for help! LOL!
I made a few mistakes, which led to some weird, strange results to begin with, but thankfully, I was able to retrace my steps, keep calm and try again. I was even able to use what I had learned in the tutorial thus far, and complete the t-shirt in a slightly different way. Kind of add my own little twist to the whole thing.
Waiting for it to be approved now...I don't see that I've fluffed it up in any way, so hopefully, it'll be approved without any problems...keep watching my Upcoming Items box for the preview. Any feedback, as always, is appreciated!
Going to give my poor brain a rest and make some easy Sims to upload to here now. LOL!
Room divider
Completed the room divider just now and here is a preview
