Hello...
Just a quickie blog post.
Having a few problems on this site.

Whenever I upload one of my creations the item goes through but the page goes blank which is a bit odd!
Also sometimes it wont let me rate screenshots/Stories etc no matter how many times i click it...even when refreshing...but yet other times it does it first time!

Maybe it's just my internet connection lol.

Anyway got some more items coming soon!

Dabaling in Creating

Well... over the last few days or so i have been thinking about creating my own items to share with you all at TSR.

I am now in the process of creating Walls and maybe Flooring to match. I am taking my time with it because i am new to this and want everything to be perfect.

I had a little trouble at the beginning but with the wonderful help, patience and guidance received from Missy_Sceeter, i finally managed to create my first wall. Hurray! I was so pleased with myself.

It really makes you concentrate and i can understand now how the other creators here at TSR feel plus it can take ages to create a wonderful item. *Phew that was a mouth full*

I will submit my creations in due course so please bear with me.

Heya. I still am leaving my poll open. Sims 3 got 13 votes and Sims 2 - 11 votes

Thing now is I am going to take a little break from TS3. I do not want to destroy my computer just because of the hardware errors I am encountering from the game or at least have sorted this out. So it will take me a while to post Sims 3 screens. :/ I wish that  TS3 do not have this bugs. To be honest I never encountered hardware problems like this with my TS2. I have a high-end gaming PC in which TS2, TS3, and my other games - Crysis, Tomb Raider, Second Life and Lost Planet are installed. I am really disappointed that I can run my Sims 2 games [All EP and SP plus big, big game modifications] plus almost 16GB of CC's as well as all my other games with no problem at all. [that includes another EA game -- Crysis but with TS3?] :(I really don't want to think its complete waste of my money. But is it?

The gaming tower was built especially for TS3. More than enough than the actual TS3 game requires. Has Quad Core Processors, ginormous RAM, 750GB hardrive, 9800GTX graphics and all the fancy stuff. All drivers updated, scanning viruses and spamwares everyday... For every CC I install in TS3, I play my game and test for about 1 hour max. Even double checking all downloaded CC's [scanning for virus and such]. While working on my video I started to get BSOD. I haven't encountered BSOD's until I started to play with a newly created family for the video. My Sim family actors, they are 5 in the household. One Mom, 2 daughters (children), one father and one son. None of them are using custom content even in their houses when I'm not filming. Prolly thinking it's the number of Sims per household? I have other household with 8 residents and have no problems playing with them - NO BSOD. In the first 20 scenes that I already filmed, I did not encounter any problems. Now, the headache started when I played with the family with kids. It's driving me nuts. My game will either quit to desktop or ka-boom get BSOD. I looked for whatever I could have missed in the process. There's two lighting hack I have in the game, plus four more mods that kills certain unrealistic animations in TS3. They are fully tested and working in my game with no conflicts at all. But to be on the safe side and since most of these are still in its beta stages, I am only using that for filming. They are uninstalled when I'm on gameplay. Other than that, I don't have any heavy hacks or core mods installed. My TS3 game is still pretty clean and CC's very organized. I clean all the cache files once it get to a certain limit or installing new defaults. When I played with the family, [they aren't dressed to the max with CC's for the movie, just skilling them and developing their relationships] I don't get BSOD. I zoom in and out and can play long, 2 hours at the max - that's my limit. Now when I'm ready to film and shoot them with the correct CC's I need for the scene, in less than a minute, my game will get a BSOD! I really don't know what to do because all the CC's I have are tested. The only possibility I was looking to are the two custom hairs from Rose. They are fully tested and working in my game. No crash or quit to desktop. However, the BSOD's are only happening when my Sims are using those hairs. :/ I have tested and retested them for how many times, and they seemed okay, my game never crashed or quit to desktop. Only this time, Sim kids are wearing them. I'm going to delete these particular hairs from my game and will still have to see. I tried playing with other families and don't get BSOD at all. Only in that particular household. I really do not want to delete them just yet. I still have to shoot 8 more scenes with them. :( Starting fresh/Redoing the family would take an awfully long time and am really not looking at that as an option. *Sigh* I guess the most reasonable fix for this atm is to clean all my TS3 saved games that I have and start clean again. Geez, I'm already tired. :( This game is built this way and it will stay this way for long...

I'll just take a break from TS3. I know BSOD has something to do with faulty hardware installation but is not likely in my case. Only happening in TS3... I know my PC that well, hardware or whatever is causing the error, I am not going to risk destroying my PC by playing TS3.

Too bad, I actually love TS3. :(

Assignments....

Well, I'm getting through my assginments slowly but surely. I'm trying to get my story done in between doing this but forgive me if they're taking slightly longer to come out. I've got an exam in a few minutes so fingers crossed, I'm pretty confident about it though so I should be ok! ;-) I'm looking out the window right now and there's a huge dust storm out there so I don't really want to go out, but what can I do? haha. Well, I better go, ciao!

Excited about a upcoming pattern

Ok, I am so excited about one of the patterns I will have upcoming in a day or so.  It is a Indian/Oriental carpet pattern.  It is extremely detailed and I just love it.  I am SOOOOO happy with how it turned out.  Learned a couple new techniques for working with something so tight.

Anyways, hope you all enjoy it, I know my Sims sure do.

Me & Sims

Oh how I love to create!  I really do love building & making new pets!  OK I'm not that fond of making the packages up......that is not nearly as enjoyable to me as the creating part within the game is.  HOWEVER........I do it because of all the wonderful people who download.  The comments keep me inspired to keep on submitting.  The kudos we get for uploading are a nice way of "payment", but the best payment of all are the wonderful comments I see on my creations.  I got pretty good at making MAXIS look good (yes thats right people "MAXIS can look good") while I was unable to have my game run letalone WITH custom content.  But now even though I am able to have all sorts of cc goodies......I'll still mostly upload in 100% MAXIS ONLY!   I know I could probably get a few more people downloading my lots if I used cc......& I probably will use cc in lots here & there.........but I just think it takes a bit more "imagination" to put together a nice 100% MAXIS lot.  It's just an opinion that it's easier to make lots "sell" with cc than MAXIS.......but I'd rather stick to MAXIS.  My Mom asked if there was any way to "get paid" for making all these lots & pets.......eh not really.  If some day I got to be an SA......OMG that would be SOOO AWESOME!!!  Free TSR membership........BRING IT ON!  BUT as I said before......it's the wonderful comments that keeps me submitting.  If I were doing the building JUST FOR ME.......I'd use what ever cc I like cuz there's no problem using whatever for your own use.  So I guess this is mostly a "thank you" to all of the TSRians who've left me lovely comments & words of encouragement. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

What would I change about Sims 3? Well...

There are many but small things I miss from the previous Sims games and expansion packs that I would've like to have seen in Sims 3. However I do completely get why everything couldn't have been put in.. 

What I would bring in from Sims 1 & 2...

• Guinea pigs! I thought they were great!
• Hot Date was great for going out but also buying cool new stuff like jewelry was great to give to a loved one! It would be cool if Sims 3 had this option...
• Getting ill was a realistic feature.. being able to get time off work because you were bitten on those fantastic guinea pigs with the chance of death was amazing!
• You didn't have to garden! You could pay someone to do it for you!
• You could actually see the buildings your Sim went to when they went to town.
• Being able to do things like make out and Wohoo in the car... or even Wohoo in public!
• Sims dating... You should have that option rather than tour an army base... not very romantic... Bring back fancy dining and being rated on your dating skills then getting gifts from it!
• Shopping for clothes and groceries... at the time I was annoyed that you didn't have all the clothes in your wardrobe already but thinking back I did like my Sim going out an trying on stuff etc. With the groceries I liked them being delivered online when I felt lazy.
• Having the option to invite the Headmaster over to get your kids into private school was was fantastic feature even if I was angry with him most of the time for not accepting!

Genius!

This being my first blog I am going to jabber on about my Sim and how she has gained amazing skill levels. To be honest I'm quite proud of myself. 

Basically I told myself that I would create a character who lives in a dingy little bungalow alone, with hardly any money. Shamefully after about a week I got frustrated with her continuously going on how how she hasn't had enough fun, food or sleep as she spent her life working so I could get her to have more luxuries. 

I was naughty and went against my rule of no money cheats. I decided to use it once or twice to make the bungalow respectable. Feeling disappointed in myself i made up for it making sure that my sim was the best in every skill and then I would get her to complete every goal...

After a while she made it to the top of her journalism career, met someone who moved in and brought even more money into the house, making it easier for her to get higher up in her skills! I spent long enough trying to find the life seed and grow the life plant but it was a fun process as she got better at her collecting. 

So now she has her skills all the way up I got her to move on in life, making a family. A young boy and twin girls.... My god I didn't know how hard it would be to control! But eventually they grew up.... 

For me when you have reached all your goals, had a family, got married, kids have moved out and you have got to the top in all you can there is nothing else to do....  I have had to take a break as it has really got to the stage where I can't think of what else to do without getting bored! I am looking forward to the World Adventures expansion pack gets released!
