Evil error 13 -Part Two - Reclamation!

I've been working on trying to reclaim my legacy neighborhood that went boom a month ago.  I've gotten everything almost.. back to normal cept for the fact only 3/4 of the sims are invisible instead of all of them.  The other 1/4 are.. headless!

In this screen capture, headless Deb Myzer is speaking to her husband, thats him there in the foundation.

I can now see the plum bob on the rest of the neighborhood sims as well as see their conversation bubbles and what objects they might be carrying.  Unfortunately it is all at ground level.  They all seem to be submerged now.  I have also recovered some of the thumbnail icons for the UI.

Whoza Myzer gripes about the local art.  Yes thats a cell phone in the stones.

If anyone else has been able to recover from something like this, let me know how you did it :)  At least all my other hoods are normal.

Meshing Is Hard

I've always had a lot of respect for the creators that make new meshes. I have a hard enough time designing in 2 dimensions sometimes, surely that third must add an extra layer of complexity.

But when I was making the Ballet Front V Back top I just wasn't fully satisfies with any of the default meshes. None of them were quite right.

So I had a stab at editing a mesh in Milkshape. .... ha, ha.

I think I'll leave the meshing to the pros a little longer.

Smophora Cosmetics

Me and my creative mind just had to come up with something. ;)

After the four sets get published that I made, which will be about two to three weeks, I will be making large sets of makeup. I would like to re-alpha texture each makeup and use my own alphas so it will be different and the makeup will be more visible.

Update: The Bubble Gum Blush and Teeny Bikini sets will be out Friday or next week, depending on my mood and if I really feel like making the preview images.

My 6th poll ran from 19 June to 8 September 2009.The question was "How many Stuff Packs do you own?" Thank you to the 159 people who took part. The results were as follows:

26 people (16.4%) owned 0 packs

11 people (6.9%) owned 1 pack

16 people (10%) owned 2 packs

9 people (5.7%) owned 3 packs

9 people (5.7%) owned 4 packs

9 people (5.7%) owned 5 packs

8 people (5%) owned 6 packs

8 people (5%) owned 7 packs

15 people (9.4%) owned 8 packs

48 people (30.2%) owned all 9 packs

So, as I'd predicted, most people took an 'all or nothing' approach and decided either to embrace the Stuff Pack concept and buy them all or to reject the concept and to buy none of them.

My new poll is about attitudes to Sims 1, 2 and 3. Do you love Sims 3? Have you uninstalled Sims 1 and 2 to concentrate all your energy on it? Or did you install Sims 3, decide it wasn't for you and go back to Sims 2? Perhaps you're still a Sims 1 addict? I'd love to know...
