Lack of updates

Sorry for the lack of updates this past week and the next. I'm busy with something else and this is taking up most of my time for creating. I'll try to do a little now and then so I can upload 1 or 2 creations in the coming week but I can't promise anything.Take a look in the gallery for screens on a lot in progress.

Ramble Waffle Ramble

Greetings people,

I just felt like rambling so what better place than a blog.

Now my mind has gone completely blank of things to ramble about....

Oh you would not beleive!! How many times I've written Chapter 5 for Escape from Paradise. Somehow every time I write it something happens. I wrote it in the sims game....the game crashed and I lost it. So I re-wrote it on tsr, but didn't realise that if you didn't attach a snapshot then you lose everything you write when you click save. So after a while, of the 'aarrghhh this is so annoying' factor I decided to re-write the chapter in my notebook...on real paper. My logic behind it was my notebook wouldn't crash, and how could you possibly go wrong with writing it on paper? Worst rhetorical question ever! I took my piece of paper and sat down on the computer to type it into tsr...with snapshots this time. But my sim game wasn't working so I couldn't get the snapshots. So I thought, it doesn't matter I'll come back after I've fixed the game. But then I thought well I might lose the bit of paper I wrote it on and thought I should type it into word and then I'll have 2 copies of it. So I did and I saved it. Then thinking I didn't need the piece of paper anymore I scrunched it up and chucked it to my dog. The chapter had caused me soo much time! and I was glad it was written and on the computer. BUT....I went on the computer the next day and the computer was spazzing out. I fixed it and went to retrieve my saved word document and couldn't find it anywhere. Because the computer was spazzing when I 'saved' it, it didn't save properly. So I lost the word document and my paper was now long gone. And that leaves me to where I am now. I'm rather frustrated with the story 'Escape from Paradise' so I really don't know when I'm going to have to patience to try and re-write the chapter again. But hopefully I'll be able to get it out soon. Fingers are crossed.

In the meantime between the other story and creating objects I do in my free time, I've started making a movie! Not a movie movie, but a short series of video clips from the sims 2. Which I shall eventually post up on youtube! TSR seriously needs to have videos on it. So people can publish sim movies! But trying to get myself familiar with the movie making world! Finding new buttons in the sims game that help....like when you're in camera man mode to mark different spots. So you can slide between positions easier....I forget what the button was. Damn...I've really forgotten.

I'm also trying to write a tutorial, for making stories with the sims 2. Tips and what not, also some basic stuff for noobs. So hopefully that'll be done soon too. And fingers crossed it'll be better than my last tutorial. But I did write that one when I was still learning the whole process, and now I have a much broader range of tips and what not.

I have not buy sims3 for myself yet and i play evi's copy when she allows me... So I do not have much time to create... So far I have uploaded a couple of hellenic lots for you that you have really enjoyed playing them in sims2 game... Have fun!...

Late Update

I'm sorry for the lateness of the new update for my story. I've been really ill and I'm getting dizzy at this very moment. I promise to have the update out by Friday.

Sims 3 Is Taunting Me.

So, I have the colloctors edition of Sims 3 sitting on my desk.  A friend ended up with two copies because he moved and so he offered me one, unfortunately my computer is no where near good enough to run it.  I'm still using Windows 2000. So as I watch as others are coming up with these awesome new patterns, and playing with all the new toys provided by TSR, I sit here and glare at my computer, wishing it would just upgrade it self.  LOL!  Oh well. 

On other news, I'm pregnant again.. woo.  I'm not excatly thrilled about it, we were really trying NOT to have any more kids. The universe however had other plans for us. So, ... yeah. That's why I don't have any new stuff right now, I haven't been feeling well, and I'm working my butt off, as I work in retail, and we're getting into the holiday season. Plus my 19month old demands all my home time.  She's cute, but she wears me out!

Sims 3 Meshes

I have added a coffeetable and re-mapped, re-designed everything :) I am thinking of making a set with these.There are still a painting, some deco items also.I also want to make a curtain, but did not decide yet :)

for all you awesome artists out there ... I CHALLENGE YOU!!!

i would absolutely love a bunch of recolors of the 'wall-hanging' surfboard (Maxis mesh) that was included with teen style stuff ... the set was called 'fun in the sun' and the board mesh takes 3 wall blocks ... (obviously, i don't know the first thing about recoloring) but a bunch of different surfboards would be so rad!!! i didn't find much here at TSR either...

so, if you need some cool board ideas, try these websites: billibong, roxy, pacific sun...

also, can anyone out there please tell me how to move an object's placement/height for hanging it anywhere on a wall?  it would be cool if i could have 2 or 3 surfboards on the same chunk of wall.  the original surfboard hangs really high on the wall (which i don't like) ... is this something i can change??? (i could also use this information for hanging pictures and other objects too!)
