Installation issues

Hi :-), unfortunately when I tried to install my Sims 3 game the disc was not recognized. I did all sorts of maintenance on my PC trying to get ithe DVD drive running. In desperation I performed a complete Windows reinstall. Wouldn't you know my drive still won't work. Ha Ha Ha. Moreover all of my software and programs were of course removed. I do have backups of my Sims 2 and everything I deemed important.

Here is my main issue/problem...I  can not even reinstall my Sims 2 games. Nothing is being recognized. lol Just my luck. I will be purchasing another drive on Friday. Until then, there won't be any new updates either Sims 2 nor Sims 3. This is not fun. I am extremely anxious to play my Sims 3 but will also continue to create for Sims 2.

I guess that's it for now.

Story telling in Sims3?

I would love to do a story, wonder when that option is going to be available or am I going too fast?

Still have some storytelling to do in Sims2 a well...

Stories - Mwuahaahahaaa

Hey all people that might happen to read this. Just wanted to say that I haven't forgotten about my other stories 'Escape from Paradise' and 'Theft & Prosperity' I was planning on posting the next chapters earlier today. But then I had a doctors appointment, and after nearly passing out I've been a bit woosy all day. Passing out is a weird experience.

So anyway just wanted to say that I'll be finishing off these stories with a few more parts. Don't worry I shall do the endings about as much justice as my mind will allow, so hoping it will have a better day tomorrow :P. Although it seems to be at the moment, jumbled with story ideas! So anyone that's looking for an already thought of and planned out idea, feel free to ask and pluck one out of my head, I can't do them all :).

About the mesh of the dress

Hello.
I think that I write a little because I apologize when worrying it about the mesh comes though it is trifling.
There is the one to use the mesh that a wonderful various creators made in the inside though used by the dress that I am making if there are a game and enhancing packing as much as possible, too.
I am not enclosing these meshes with the set goods. A tidy mesh specifies a certain place.
The purpose of this is respectfully in the creator who is making the mesh.

It would be greatly appreciated if it could understand.

Upcoming Submissions

I am currently in the early stages of a three or four part story for The Sims Resource. This is only my second story and the first one that wasn't documenting an actual part of my game. I haven't fully worked out the plot yet but I've created some of the main Sims and I have a rough idea of what it's going to be about. I'll try to get it up as soon as possible.

Whoo!! I'm pumped!!

Yeah thats pretty much all I want to say! Hmm... here is some updates!: My sister at hotchick42 (ok, it was created in high school so yes that name was apprpriate back then. Now we are twenty) Anyway, she has created her first dress!! Yay for her, I am sooo proud! No she hasnt uploaded, but it is really good. So one day!! ok!!

Sims 3 dilemma...

AGH!!!  So, I just have to vent somewhere that people would understand my frustration and not just look at me with funny looks when I explain...

I bought Sims 3!  Yeah!!  I'm excited, I've even got the collector’s edition, get home and I'm ready to go.  I know my computer isn't the greatest, so I continue to delete everything Sims 2....everything... (Wouldn’t want to risk slowing down Sims 3 right!?)  I get Sims 3 installed, things are looking good, and then there is a friendly message about my video card not being readable.  Okay, not a big deal, I'm sure it happens all the time.  On I go.  I develop my character, had her ready to go with her wants and dreams and even a cute little outfit!!  I'm just getting more and more excited!  I'll be able to do things I never could before.  So, we pick out a cute little place and the tutorial begins...then the computer freezes.  No big deal, I take a deep breath and reboot.  I get a little further in my tutorial (she finally sits on her couch) and then it freezes again. 

Okay, I'm starting to get a little annoyed by this point.  I figure maybe I just need to upgrade my video card.  On to the internet I go to research video cards.  I look, and look and check blogs and computer guru sights and even the OEM site.  Turns out, I can't even upgrade my stinking computer!!!  (Smoke can now be seen coming out of my ears...)

Deep breath, maybe it's just time to get a new computer just for my Sims.  My hubby and I have even talked about it before, so what the heck.  There has to be something out there that is inexpensive enough.  Well, not so...all the really cheap computers won't even process my new game, let alone the Sims 2!  So, aside from saving up $$$$, I will just hold my Sims 2 ever the more tightly.  I still have my Sims 3, and it will sit, waiting patiently to open its loving arms one day.  But now I get to start from scratch and maybe this time, I'll do what a smart 'Sim-mer' would do, and back my files up!!!  AGH!
