I'm starting a blog!

I may as well - it's extra kudos points! Lol. I'm saving up for a free subscription day and then I'm going to go download crazy! :D

So a little about me - I've been playing Sims 2 since it came out and I played Sims 1 before that. Not sure yet whether I'm going to get Sims 3. I'm certainly not done with Sims 2 yet so if I do I'll probably keep Sims 2 as well. In the meantime I'm reading reviews to try and decide whether I want it or not. We should have an official TSR poll on whether people like the game.

Though I've been playing for so long I still haven't completed a legacy. I've started two in the past, both a long time ago, but didn't get past generation three. I have however completed a challenge I set myself to try and get my Sim Rose Stevens (see my stories page) as many of the memories as possible. This was when I still only had the first three expansion packs. Now I'm doing the same challenge again with a different Sim, Kimberly-Jane Whitley, but this is on hold at the moment because I am way behind with the storytelling part of it (you can read it in the TSR forums, in the stories section - it's called You Only Live Once Without A Ressurect O'Nomitron - and on my own website). In the meantime I am playing Rose's family (now up to generation four) and I am building a clean neighbourhood, which is where there are no automatic townies, NPCs or families in the families bin (see MTS2 for a tutorial on how to do this). That is paused too at the moment though because I'm waiting for the free subscription day.

My contributions to TSR are mostly screenshots. I have some posed shots on the way. And I am playing challenges for points.

Not base game compatible?????

Hi everyone!

I hope u are ok and I hope if you have downloaded something of mine that turned out to be not game base compatible you read this....

I just checked that issue and it's really probable that my sims that say BGC and are not... need the UNIVERSITY EXPANSION PACK

If you have any request for a sim of mine to be BGC please tell me, I'll see what i can do :)

DL Problem of Latia Part 2

A few of you guys already informed me that there is something weird with that download!

Many of you reported that there are not all items of the set in the main zip!

I have tried to download it and had the same problem but after maybe 1 minute trying it again it worked for me...mysterious^^

I do not know what is false with the set maybe it is a server issue or i did something false when i submitted the set...my advice for now is to try it again and again (I am really sorry for that but will ask for help asap!)

You could also try to download it as a Sims2Pack, for me this worked fine!

Again sorry and a big hug to all who have informed me regarding the problems in such a kind way!

but the submissionmanager don't want to upload it *aaargh* I don't know whats the problem with the file. I had the second house packed in the game like the first and the first house worked. Why the second house doesn't work with the submissionmanager?! Shit :( :(

Waiting for The SIMS 3 arriving

Today Jun 6, 09  I´m waiting for my Game The Sims 3 arrives at home, I bougth it 3 days ago ordered by internet, not in stores yet.

Okay, don't laugh!

At least not too hard! I actually submitted a Sims 3 lot! I have never in my life even considered submitting a lot before. It isn't an especially lovely lot, but darn it, it is mine! I will go now and study more and try to get better. I don't know if the furnishings that I put in it will come over with the lot or not. I guess I'll have to wait and see how that works. Since it is a new submission system, anything is possible. If they do come over, then you might like it because I did a lot of customizing, even though I didn't furnish a few of the rooms. But even if you don't like it, if you download it please let me know what you do and don't like so I can improve.

Anyway, I'm off to go back to the Sims 3 game to see what other trouble I can cause!

Coming up in Sims 2, I have some more eyes, eye shadows, living rooms and at least one 22-color object. Also a pool set coming out tomorrow. I should have enough to keep Sims 3 folks busy for a bit while I learn about Sims 3.

I will try to get to my first nursery as soon as I can tear myself away. I am really enjoying the new game and trying to learn everything yesterday. Hope you all have fun with it too!

3000 Downloads!

I have been anticipating hitting the 3000 downloads mark for the past few weeks and when I logged on today I noticed I had finally made it! Yippee! I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to download some of my creations and I hope you and your Sims are truly enjoying them in your game.

I have several new creations in a holding pattern right now due to some real life 'family' drama that I am caught up in which has me somewhat distracted. However, I do manage to sign-in most every day to check my page and to see what some of my favorite creators are creating as well as download fabulous creations--which is one of my favorite things to do on TSR!

Sims 3.. Not happy.

Hey every1! So after much debate on whether i was going to go full blown sims3 or stay with my beloved sims2 verision i decided im not quite ready to give up on sims2 and will be staying with them for a while longer. Truthfully, I was a little disappointed at the sims3 game since i find the sims heads to be abnormally round and big.. particularly the females =\ I don't like any of the original clothing and the fact that there aren't any expansions to the game yet kinda bums me out to since there is such limited ways to play.. no buisness or universities for example. I probably wont be switching to TS3 till a few months when there it more c.c. made to improve the original game and apperance of the sims.. which yuck, desperately need improvement.

Anyways im currently working on a new sims story.. haven't got the definate storyline finished yet, just some the basic characters i want to use and etc. So expect a new series out within the next week or so.

Also, I wonder if any1 else is unhappy about a part of the sims3 like i am? I'm curious to hear what anyone else is thinking since in real life i don't know many people who share my hobby. Anyways, Happy simming every1! -Jari

The Hinman/Reeves legacy, part one ?

So I got Sims 3 a few days ago, and even though my graphics card is utter garbage, I managed to make it through three in-game weeks and start the legacy I've always wanted. Hopefully this goes well =]
(I'll try to make it short but so much happened!)

Shelby and Acacia Hinman are twin sisters, but complete opposites. Shelby is unlucky (she has bad days often), artistic (though she never makes a worthy painting), clumsy (she breaks things often), loves the outdoors (but rarely leaves the house), and absent-minded (frequently forgets where's she's going). Acacia is lucky (always has good days), hates art and the outdoors (her sister is a pain to her because of their opposites in these departments), a great kisser and charismatic (a wonderful combination).

The two share a house with Derek Reeves, a slightly gothic black and blue haired glasses wearing man who is torn between them. He is sort of like both of them because he is charismatic, artistic, loves the outdoors, and lucky. His only unique trait is that he is a hopeless romantic.

When they all first moved in together, Acacia was quick to flirt with Derek; Shelby couldn't get a word in edge wise. When Derek invited Shelby to the art gallery in town (they live on the outskirts of Sunset Valley, by the military base), Acacia was disappointed. When Shelby would paint pictures, Derek was more than happy to frame them in the study. Acacia was overly jealous of their bond.

This is when Acacia began to give up on Derek and frequent the park. EVERY single man that she talked to was in a relationship with someone else. Buster Clavell was a little too old for her but it was worth a shot. She followed him to his picnic area to see Bessie Clavell dining with him. That's when she met Xander. Xander was a Decoy in the criminal career. He was inappropriate and a party animal which throughly intrigued Acacia.

Xander was very tired when they met so naturally their talking time was short. He left and Acacia wandered around the park. She met two more available men, Christopher Steel and Stiles McGraw. Christopher was too busy fishing to care about anything Acacia said, but she kept him in her contact list anyway. Stiles was all ears though. Acacia learned that he was frugal and a loner. The loner trait was evident but he craved attention anyway.

While Acacia was gone for those few days at the park (park benches were her friend), Derek and Shelby really got to know each other and Derek proposed that they go steady. Shelby was more than happy to accept! Acacia arrived home with Stiles and snubbed the two altogether, and actually asked Xander to spend the night.

Derek and Shelby made fun of him the whole time, pointing and laughing ensued. Xander slept in Shelby's bed, so she insulted him immensly. He left the next night to go to work, but not after much flirting with Acacia. She was sad to see him go but it was for the best. Derek took Shelby to the park that night and pulled out a sparkling diamond ring and asked her to marry him. She accepted and they had a private marriage that night.

When they returned (no honeymoon!) Acacia was no longer friends with Derek for the time being. Even though she was an in-law, she saw no point in having any contact with him. Derek and Shelby were sad at this loss but went into Derek's room to 'consumate' the marriage. Shelby was eager to do so and when she woke up the next morning, she threw up!

Acacia went back to the park that morning and conversed with Stiles more. She followed him around everywhere, asking about his day and becoming more interested in his profession. He was a music talent scout and left her halfway through their 'date' to go to work. He came back though and she asked him to go steady as well. He accepted and she invited him over to spend the night.

Shelby announced to the household (and Stiles) that she was pregnant. Derek was overjoyed and couldn't stop clapping! Acacia mended her relationship with Derek and the two celebrated together. Stiles left for work shortly after, though no one noticed he left. Acacia rode her bike to the park to meet up with him after work but instead was confronted by Xander. When asked how she was, she left out the part about dating Stiles and the two kissed and flirted all afternoon. Stiles never showed up...

Acacia called Stiles over the next day and prepared to apologize but forced herself not to. Instead she made Stiles some mac & cheese for dinner and the two cuddled on her bed. Acacia got off the bed and Stiles followed suit. She pulled out a ring and slipped it over his finger; Stiles' loner trait disappeared and he fell in love with her all over again. He took her last name and moved in and they had a private wedding on their lawn. He was a roommate of the Bachelor family but they did not miss him.

When Stiles went to work the next day, Acacia took it upon herself to call Xander, finally letting him know what was going on. She asked him if it was okay if they were just friends, and he promptly cried on her shoulder. His commitment issues reared their ugly heads and he went home sobbing. Stiles' birthday was that night and even though he wanted to spend it alone, he came home just as Xander left.

Shelby went into labor the next day! Derek and Shelby ran into a taxi and sped to the hospital. A few hours later, Anna May was born (her traits being artistic and friendly). Shelby and Derek were now proud parents of a little girl; they brought her home safely. Stiles completed his life goal of being filthy rich in the meantime after getting a promotion and having a lot of money in the family funds.

Always the mischief maker, Acacia invited Xander over for the night. Stiles was very busy up-ing his guitar skills and making calls to the band he worked for, so Xander went unnoticed, despite Xander's frequent insults to the poor quality of the music Stiles was playing and the scolding Acacia gave him. That night, Acacia woohoo'd with Xander. She cried on the side of her bed shortly afterwards and apologized when Xander left the next morning due to hunger.

Stiles forgave her but freaked when Acacia began throwing up. She confessed to cheating on him and even went so far as to confess her attraction to Xander. Stiles forgive her for cheating but when she said she loved him, Stiles found her to be unforgivably rude. Acacia slipped off the ring on her finger and the two called their marriage quits. Stiles roamed around the house, angry and confused. All that was on his mind was their break up. Whenever Acacia tried to talk to him he wouldn't listen. Apologizing was impossible!

Acacia told Stiles to pack his bags. Shelby and Derek were too busy with Anna May to care, though it wasn't like they liked Stiles anyway. Stiles moved into the first house he could find and they stopped talking completely. Meanwhile, Anna May grew into a toddler! She quickly learned to talk, walk, and became potty trained. There was an incident where Acacia brought her to the park and put her down so she could throw up, so Shelby ran (yes ran. Didn't take a cab, she took two hours to RUN to the park) to save her child from kidnappers.

Acacia went into labor a few days later. She didn't call a cab but instead rode her bike to the emergency room. People outside were freaking out and screaming. Guess who showed up to the hospital? Xander, with his toddler Reagan. Pepper Hinman was born. The four went to the Hinman/Reeves household and Acacia asked Xander to leave.

Not much happened after that. Pepper became a toddler, learned to talk and walk (her traits were evil and insane). Anna May grew up and Pepper did shortly after that (through forced birthday) and gained the trait kleptomaniac, while Anna May got the 'good' trait.
