Polls revamped - UPDATED!

We've done a revamp of the poll admin area today, making it easier to understand how you build up your poll with questions, answers and descriptions. For those who hasn't used this feature on your minisite yet, feel free to check it out :)

UPDATE: There was a bug in this revamp, this has now been fixed so you can build polls properly again.

Oh, frustration...

This is the life of a perfectionist:

I just haven't been happy with the clothes I've made the last weeks.I haven't uploaded them because there is always some small detail that doesn't look good and that I can't quite fix the way I want to. At the same time, rain has been pouring down on my sim city for days, even though it's supposed to be summer and eternal sunshine! I don't know if the game weather gets me into a grumpy mood, or if my grumpy mood affects the weather...?

Sims 3.....PPPPFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHH........blah blah blah

OK so I know that a slew of TS2 players are abandoning their Sims they have currently for the new 3rd generation.  I wasn't all that interested in the new version when they 1st talked about it last year......or was it the year before that?  I don't know.......EA has been promising they'd have Sims 3 released & so far they've had bug after bug & pushed the release date back more than once and not just by a few weeks either.  So here is my thing: why should I?  Seriously.  Why should I?  I've already bought Sims 1, Sims 2, and now they just want to make another set of the same thing.  Well actually in my opinion it is not quite the same.......its worse in a few ways.  Yeah I saw the vids on TS3 by EA.  Well sure being able to make your sims hair & car match the puprle zebra striped shirts is all well & good......if you're into that sort of thing.  What if I want the Pillsbury dogh boy across my kitchen walls?  with TS2 it is just a matter of finding the wall wich they can be made to fit just about any order.  When I had my cc in my game I had all sorts of stuff like my favorite bandshirts thanks to Dr.Macabre.  Yeah zebra is nice (for some maybe) but I want my Sim to have a Slipknot shirt.  OK & then there is the issue of my kids.  They play my game & each have their own seperate hoods so their Sims do not interact with eachother.......what about with TS3?  Have you ever seen the Disney movie The Incredibles?  Well TS3 Sims remind me of them or those bobble head dolls.  Hey if there is an earthquake in the game do their heads bobble around? :D LMAO  My friends like the way they look (no clue why) or it just doesn't bother them......eighther way.........differenc of opinion.  Sims 3 no likey. :P :P :P  So even if my PC could handle TS3.......I don't want to defile my computer with them. ;)  So there was one thing the EA folks said that I will agree with "Sims community is loyal & outspoken" YUP. :D  Loyal to TS2 & outspoken in my dislike of the TS3 sims. :P

Computer issues resolved

Had to get the whole thing replaced. Now I have to replace everything. Just a couple of weeks before The Sims 3 comes out. :P

Well... How can I put this without sounding really weird and OTT? Here goes. I am so happy to be an Artist on The Sims Resource because I love creating things and even though my creations usually are pretty bad and no one will ever download them, I enjoy making them. Have a look at my creations if you want and basically have fun, fun, fun!!!

The Great Disappearing Phoenix Phaerie!

I vanished off the face of the planet for a while there. As usual, the reason for my extended absence was school. Usually the moment mid-term hits, my free time shrinks. This semester was no exception.

Also, I am entering my final year of school. As a consequence, I am less and less concerned with maintaining an online presence. That doesn't mean that I'm going to stop my simmy activities! It just means that I've stopped fighting my need to put school first. If I have to go into total hibernation to get my schoolwork done, then that's what happens.

But now that school is over, I am so looking forward to doing fun things instead of hours and hours of soul-crushing schoolwork. I'm off to do some uploading!

Getting ready for Sims3

Yep, you read that right. I am preparing for Sims3. When Sims2 first came out, I still had so much I wanted to do with Sims1 that I decided not to go with Sims2. I did play it a few times at a friend's house, but it just didn't hold my interest. I was still too attached to Sims1. However, the more I read about Sims3, the more interested I become. So while I will be getting Sims3 and creating for it too, I will not immediately stop submitting Sims1 stuff. I still have quite a few things on my To Do list that I haven't gotten to yet -- more Barbie skins and a ton of Tyler Wentworth skins and so on. I am estimating that my Sims1 To Do List will last at least through the end of this year, possibly longer depending on the custom content situation with Sims3. Sims1 will still be installed on my computer. I cannot bear to part with my Sims1 Simmies yet. I have the game customized just the way I like it, so until I can do that with Sims3, I will not give up on Sims1.
