Whoo...

I know, not anything to be proud of compared to all you great creators... But for me the first timer, its a great achievment and I am proud of myself. Cant wait to hit 2500 Kudos as I will finally be able to change the colour of my profile... yay!!

I love all your comments, unfortunatly my computer plays up and tells me there is an error everytime I try to view them and reply!! so sorry!! I do appreciate them all... even comments on my screenshots! really!! so very unfortunate I cant get back to you! Sometimes there is a miricle and I can view and write back... but very rare!!

So now I will celebrate my success with 2,000 downloads. Yay! I have got more upcoming downloads. as I showed in my last blog. So there is 10 more on there way that includes meshes, sets and individual items.

Problem with Glamour Set

Today I uploaded a new set, the "glamour set". Unfortunately, two preview images disappeared and the two related files have been rejected. I just re-uploaded them and I hope the set will be soon completed.

Just a short snippet from a story I'm working on, don't know if I should make it into a sims story yet. Let me know what you think....

My heart was beating a mile a minute as I slowly passed the nurses station with my head down under the hood of my jacket. I kept following a series of hallways, the alarm still in the background. "Hey you!" I heard as I turned a corner. Screw the jogging, I ran. I bolted as fast as I could with a large orderly slowly following behind. My heart was beating so fast I thought it would jump out. "Stop that guy!!" He yelled puffing heavily. I turned my head around to see how far behind he was. Big mistake. He was a couple of metres behind me holding a syringe in his hand. I turned back around to see where I was going, and was about to run at full pelt when I crashed into another particularly large and muscley orderly. I fell to the floor immediately feeling kind of woosy, then I got quickly pulled up to my feet. I tried to fight him and continue running, but he quickly put me in a head lock. I yelled out, thrashing against the orderly's grip, but he only tightened it. I yelled out again, but got a sudden long, sharp prick in the side of my neck. My vision went blurry again as the ground rushed to my face......

New life.....for now

Well, I have recently lost my job due to downsizing thanks to the great economic crisis of the US. Thank so much George Bush!!!   So for now, I am a housewife, which is really not my cup of tea, as I go a little stir crazy.  I have never lost my job and I have never been without a job unless it was through my choosing. But, at least it is giving me time to spend with my daughter which I normally do not get a lot of. 

Needless to say, 2009 has created a lot of struggle for me; my father passed away, my cat died, my dog died, my Uncle passed away, and I lost my job. I am wandering now what is waiting around the corner for me next. Much more can't go wrong, right? Except financial ruin and stress on my marriage to name a few.  Oh crap, I am sounding cynical!

Enough of the depressing crap! I am hoping to have little time to get in my game and maybe finally post something here on TSR.  I can't believe how plain my profile is. I need to at least update my AV, I've had the same one forever.

I am currently beginning a huge building project in my game. I working on building houses based on the Twilight Trilogy books and the movie, however, not the Cullen house from the movie it is untrue to the book and plenty of other people have done it. This project was inspired by Tribecca  at http://www.tribeccasims2.com/ and her project. I will at least possibly post pictures of my completed houses, I am not sure yet if I will offer them as downloads anywhere, I haven't decided if I want to go through the hassle of that yet.

Hello again, all! I am so absent-minded that I almost forgot the painting recolors... Besides, I am making my own "magazine". I mean, it's not a real mag, just a "small" project by me that I make on my laptop. :D and it takes some time to get it ready for my friends to see it. And it would also be nice to make more Marimekko wallpapers with those pretty new spring season patterns. Oh, and there are two girls coming to my home all the way from France on Saturday, and they will be here for about a week... So, I will be quite busy with them, I guess ; ) not that kind of "busy"...

Stories of Hampshire - :-D

Hello Everyone, I admit i have never really done stories on tsr before, I end up having so many bugs in my game that i have to delete the family and start again. However the Hampshire Storyline is going fantastic.

I have new families that will soon be moving into the neighbourhood. And Will continue with the John Smith and Slater family stories.

Well I hope everyone has a great day and off to play more simmies! A new story will be added very soon and will keep an updated status on here as to what part will be added next.

Thoughts on The Sims 3

Can you believe there is only 25 days until the Sims 3 is released?

I'm so excited for it, everything just looks so cool with it. Like the fact we can have babies in hospital and at home, and they come wrapped in a blanket or towl as they put it. There has been some debate over whether we will have any pushchairs/prams in the game, I saw on a vid that someone said a baby could be put in a "trolley" but then on an interview they said there wouldn't be any in game, you just carry the toddlers, so the jury's out on that one.

The CASt looks amazing, and I really do think it will mean less CC for my game, my laptop will be happy lol, I don't know about you but the majority of my CC is recolours - so if we can recolour stuff ourselves, we'll only really have to download CC if we can't work out how to get the exact style we want, and someone can.

I love the fact the neighbourhood is seamless - I get so fed up with the blue loading screens, yes it means that I can read a chapter of my book, but it is annoying if you're in a hurry, and the fact we have no loading screens is amazing, we just zoom in to a sim, and then zoom out, and zoom in on another sim. I'm wondering exactly how transport works like does a pop up come up saying where do you want to go or do you in the case of walkin just see where the path takes you?

I forgot that we'll have wind as well, not full blown weather but wind that blows, I wonder if it will effect the sims, I could just see a business man hanging on to dear life to his hat while trying to stay upright. And 28 types of trees - wow that is a lot - I might jut stare at them for a while.

Add to that the CAS - the fact we have ore customisation - I'm sure I'm not the only one that is head over heels in joy because we can finally change the shoes separately to the trousers, and we can CASt them as well - I mean yay EA - I love you I really do! We can effectively make converse shoes of any pattern or rocket dogs - I think that's the make. I am annoyed we only have straight hair but this is only the base game, looking at the hair that came in the sims 2 base game, it's not that good, and to be honest I very rarely use it, I prefer the creative talents of raonsims & xmsims - whic is where the majority of my CC hair is from, so hopefully future expansions they'll give us some different varieties. But then again if we can layer and change the colours of each part, maybe we won't need anymore, who knows.

The clothes look amazing - getting back to CASt again - any pattern on any part of the clothing *passes out in shock* How many times have you downloaded a CC outfit that the only difference with the other CC is that the top colour is different, I have many times and the fact we can customise it ourselves makes all the difference.

Getting to the actual gaming, the trait systems seems to be a really good idea, I cannot wait to mess around, when I play my sims I want them to act more like I want them to, like I made a sim for a beach hut with art stuff in, but my sim did not want to be all that creative, now we can hone our sims to be exactly what we want them to be.

I think I'm even tempted to create myself as a sim in the game and actually play myself which I don't normally do,  I'd be a hopeless romantic, bookworm, computer whiz, family orientated & good sense of humor.

Right well I better go, my friend just called, I'm meeting her she's just had an exam

I just wanted to take some time to THANK everyone who has been downloading and commenting while I was away. I appreciate the fact that you take time to thank me and whatnot.

My papa built me a computer over the winter just for simming (since my crappy lappy doesn't like all those high graphics). Thanks to him I'm able to play sims again and work on recolors.

I just submitted 20+ designer purses I made on a whim. Hopefully they'll be up soon. I'll get to work on some new clothes for the dudes since I am far too inferior to make womens clothing compared to the ladies of TSR.

Again thanks to everyone and now i'm off to make scramby eggs. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Even if you do wake up at 5pm.  =}
