Design block :(

Well, I have nearly finished decorationg and furnishing the downstairs of Rockfield House (RH).  The only thing is, I am not used to dealing with big spaces and RH is definitely comes into the category of big spaces, the kitchen, living and dining area is all open plan I cannot for the life of me figure what to do with the living space. 

If anyone has any ideas - I would be very very very very very very grateful.

8 Million!

Another milestone! Also recently passed half a million thanks. I really appreciate all of you who download, thank and comment on my things. It makes it all so much more enjoyable. I am constantly amazed at the kindness and generosity of this community.

I've been goofing off recently. Actually playing the game for a change. I felt like I was getting to be too far away from it. But I will still have some things for you shortly. Haven't put anything in recently because I wasn't too sure about these servers. If they are good over the next couple of days, I'll put some more up.

Nursery items are proving to be very challenging. I'm still trying to sort out what I'm going to do with them. They are a bit different because doing all one color looks very bad and figuring out what color(s) to match with it takes a bit of work. Also they can't look too "adult". I made a set that looks like a nursery for an old man instead of a child. Can't picture anyone ever wanting it. So I'm back to the drawing board again.

Also working on these last of the small appliances and the alarm clock. Need more hours in a day!

Wow. It's Thursday. How did that happen? It was Monday just a minute ago! Time flies when you're having fun. Thanks for stopping by and helping me celebrate! :D :D

I was thinking of using them for a profile banner but I'm still in the process of designing one. I can be very indecisive so it may take me as long to accumulate the kudo's as to create a banner. lol

Texture Challenge #136

I have been participating in the texture challenge for the past month and have recolored some furniture.  I just submitted my first wallpaper and floor set using the textures and colors from the textures to create them. I usually just make wall and floors for my personal use in the game.  I finally decided it was time to share. I also plan to submit my first recolor using the textures from texture challenge #136. I have only submitted lots and pets in the past but I am branching out and getting out of my comfort zone.  I'll let you know if they are approved. With the issues with the servers, I know they are behing on the submissions. They really have their work cut out for them! TSR is still the best place to download custom content!

Wow... I am amazed!!

I Uploaded my creations on the 23/4. They were approved on the 28/4. Just after my 20th Birthday... Yay me!! and now its the 30/4 i have 151 downloaded already and 14 thanks (Ok the thanks aren't that great, but neither are my creations)

Thank You all for giving me a go... I am sooooo looking forward to uploading more of my creations, My Partner will be away for a whole two weeks and inbetween housework and my day Job I will be creating away making sure I upload only the best of the best!! So far I have just been taking pictures of my clothes and trying to recreate them. (My goodness, so much fiddling)

I will be aiming to do more sets and focus on doing a main division first i.e Swimwear. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment here or in my guest book, thanks...

Calistoga Road (Sidney Prescott's House)

Hi Guys

I just Up-loaded/subbmited the lot.

Like I promis in the description further explanation about the house.

When I created the house I had the movie Scream playing next to me on my laptop to get as much details about the house as possible.

If you watch the movie closeley you'll find the details to. For example the basement that was never showned in the movie, I found the stairs downstairs.

The parent's bedroom (scream3) Sidney's bedroom are almost identical.

There are alo rooms in the house that was never showned in the movie I had to inprovise on these parts. examples: if you walked through the front door then on te right side there's a double door but closed in te movie. I made here a second livingroom/TVroom. now walk trough the hallway on the right side is also a room that they never showed in the movie, I made the diningroom here. Accross this room you'll find the room where Sidney was slepping on the couch and got the phone call of ghostface(aka Billy Loomis).

The hallway closet is also present.

Walk further to the back of the house then on the left side you'll find the stairs to the basement that room is also a inprovisation. then on the left side you'll find the kitchen. then on the right you'll find a livingspace. wit what it seems to be some kind of bar.

Upstairs You walk right into the parents bedroom I got this out of scream 3. that.s the only time that they showed this room.

Then if you'll walk furter to the back on the left side you'll find Sidney's room just compare it with the movie. the rest of the firstfloor is inprovised by me. there are no images for this part of the house.

I couldn't spot a driveway so I didn't put it in I left space for it. on the right side of the lot. There's also no garden or at least not what I could see in the movie. I did create a Garden I hope you'll like it.

The back porch was also though to create to my standerds it doesn't at up with the movie I did my best on this part. The stairs to the first floor from the backporch is present. (in the movie you see Sidney walking up the stairs while she's on the phone with Tatum her best friend.

For everyone that also up-load to the site can see that this story didn't fit in the descreption part.

Stairs, stairs and more stairs

OMG - I cannot belive how incredibly difficult I am finding making a half decent staircase! 3 hours! I lost count of the repititions of CFE on - CFE off, undoing all the way back to square one to rinse and repeat.  Well, I got there in the end. 

As you may have guessed my next house (Rockfield House) has a stairwell, and as much as I loved Tico's guides, I just couldn't get my head around them.   Well - here's how they look now.  I'm so glad I fnally got there as this place would not look right with a conventional staircase.

Apologies, apologies...

I must apologise to everyone who left me cool comments and never got any answer. Truth is, real life has taken me hostage and when I'm not doing boring stuff (not really that boring - work and friends do have its moments :D), I'm most likely daydreaming about Sims 3.

Anyway, I really can't wait for June 2009! :D
