For all Backrow Downloaders!!!
Well it was bound to happen at some point. The really nice publich phone I have used in these lots might not be working as it should. If you have problems with it you can replace it the maxis one and if you don´t think the wonderfull blue colorscheme fits the theme you can always download on of these recolors:http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims2-sets-objects/title/NK%20PI%20Public%20Phones/id/477438/. I am so sorry for the inconvinience.
For the handful out there who actually read these things. ;)
OK so as some may know but most dont my lap top died. So I'm now moving into a desktop (this is gonna suck come winter  ) slowly but surely. i've gotten all my games loaded in (though the M&J flowers on a wall the flowers dont show up properly), but am pretty much at 100% Maxis. I'm going to be correcting that one before long. I need for things to match again! And oh how I miss those completer sets that so many have made. I also miss those "little touches". Oh custom content how I miss thee. OK enough of the whining & on to the nitty gritty. ;) I've hit a point where physically a lot of my creativity had got up and went anyway so I don't think I'll be making anymore stories.....but ya just never know. ;) I do however still very much enjoy building lots & creating pets. I had a list of people for who I was going to be making pets for.......this list along with my MTS2 info is in the notebook that got lost, so if you were someone that I had agreed to making a pet for just remind me.....if your're just someone who'd like one go ahead & ask and I'll still see about it. ;) I'm going to concentrate on building for the most part. For one thing I can do it semi-comatose. If I fall asleep while playing no big deal (so long as I don't fall out of my chair). While building there are no fires and such other forms of disaster. I miss a lot of things from a lot of different artsts; but what I'm missing the most at the moment are my Tabbylou Mission Match (love it when things match), SimAddict's & Mutske's maxis completer sets, then again MsBarrows SPAIK, Shakeshaft, & windkeeper all have some stuff I'm very very very much missing. Oh yes & then there are all the recolors that MoMama did, & dddrake, and yeah I have some downloading to do when I get CleanPak up & running again. Yes we can all make some nice lots with maxis but we can make such nicer lots with the great cc available. :D When I was writing stories I had a ton of stuff just for the stories.......I don't think i'll have as much problems with overloading my computer if I stick to stuff to upload here. But wow there were a lot of nifty plants out there. But there are still a ton of great plants that are TSRAA so my game will still have a lot of content........just not the tens of thouseands of downloads that I had from before. ;) So I'll be around just making lots for the SPACE-ally challenged Sims (my Sims are almost getting stuck in the darndest places & it wouldn't seem they'd manage to get stuck yet they do so I make my lots a bit more spacious than some but that is so that Sims are not stuck anywhere........& though the majority of the lots are maxis my favorites are usually the ones using cc. So a million thanks to all the awesome creators out there.
Recycling!
I love Maxis boardshorts, but they have only been available for adult males. I remade them to fit grandpa and grandson. It's not as easy as you could wish, as elder, adults and kids have different body types, so you have to tailor the clothing.
Some of the boardshorts were previously made available for grandpa by moonlitmaiden, but they were just recategorized, so they change grandpa's body form into adult form, which I'm not so fond of. Grandpa has to look like grandpa! Also, her swimtrunks require Bon Voyage expansion, and mine will work with base game only.

My whereabouts . . .
Due to some setbacks in real life, I have not added any lots lately. I do have a few things in the works, but I'm finding it difficult to stay motivated to keep building for TS2 with The Sims 3 coming soon.
I can't wait to get my hands on the new game!
My Wedding Anniversary
I'm going away for a few days to a romantic log cabin overlooking the sea to celebrate my Second Wedding Anniversary, so I will be away from my computer and unable to respond to PMs, comments, etc - I'm not just ignoring you! I'm hoping the weather will be good - but on the west coast of Scotland you never know what it might do. Snow was forecast at one stage...
My return to TSR
I will be returning to TSR. I had been focusing most of attention on uploading at modthesims2.com, but I see now that TSR is a much larger communtiy and my work will get much more attention here. I will also upload on modthesims2.com continuously as well as here. I also will be uploading on 2 smaller sites - sims2supernova.com and simsafe2.com as well in my spare time. You can find things on TSR that aren't on MTS2 and some things on SS2 and S2S that aren't on the other sites as well. As any creator will tell you they want their creations to be seen by a large audience, and I think TSR is the best place to showcase that.
Sugarcrest house is finally finished!
This has been a very long time coming. I originally uploaded this file for submission back in April 2007 (meaning I probably made it in 2006). However, I was never really happy with it and kept tweaking it.
During that time I was regularly adding screenshots of various parts of the house and I know several people were really hanging out for it.
I've finally got the house to a point where I was happy to share it after all this time. The Featured Artists at TSR have churned out some truly wonderful pieces over those 2 years I've been tweaking and have kindly made them TSRAA. I now had floors and walls I was really happy with (including making some of my own) that fit the house.
This lot really is huge. Anyone downloading it should really have a good think about the family that they want to occupy it as it has so much room it would be a waste if you didn't have the maximum number of Sims living there.
I'm happiest with the middle/ground floor as this has a great kitchen area, a huge conservatory/sunroom and some awesome open areas for formal dining. The bathrooms in this house were the first time I tried out the half walls and it gave me the opportunity to have large airy bathrooms while still having a little privacy for those using the bath.
The top floor has been designed so that it allows for a huge nursury at the front of the house. There's even an enclove for a wardrobe and changing table area. There is a huge open area in the middle of the floor which I've found makes a great spot for open living, library and games. Then there's a huge bathroom with double showers along with 2 other rooms to be used for bedrooms, studies etc.
I can't say I was 100% happy with the basement but seeing as the whole house was built on top of it, I didn't have much of an option to make amendments to the size of it. There's a massive pool with diving board and room for a couple of spas (not included due to file size). 2-3 toilets and a shower area. Then there's a couple of massive rooms that can be used as you like.
The house also has a large garden with birch trees. I can't really remember but I think one of them is even Sofal's swing tree. If not you could always add it. There's a working driveway and some lights.
This house has a lot od potential. Whilst the file uploaded to TSR has a very rustic and/or traditional feel, I found it looked best when decked out with modern furnishings and interiors. I would reccomend items from my bookmarked artists such as Lirunchik and Sunair to help with this. I also have a heap of snapshots if you want ideas. There is basic furnishing included but this place is really designed for the Simmer that has the time and creativity to gut it and make it their own. Think of it as a shell.
Enjoy! I'm so glad it's done. Now I can happily move on to my dark modern house, working name Eclipse.
Cheers

To decorate or not to decorate
The most satisfying thing to do for me is to decorate my houses with the stuff I gathered, bought and personally picked out for my sim families. I'd love to upload a lot with my choice of these items. I'm still not really sure how and if I'm allowed to do so. For now I stick with screenshots decorated by me and then make the house pretty basic with almost no cc inclued. I know of TSRAA stuff and I love it! But the lots are immense and will probably take forever to upload, or they don't upload at all.'I haven't figured out yet how to make the files smaller. I'm working on it! Are walls and floors also allowed from other sites? I actually don't know. Meshes I know, I have to ask if I can use them if they're not TSRAA.
I love to create! Working on the next project again!
Thanks Jennifer, I read the tutorial by cyclonesue. I already did the Sims2Pack cleaning up, but still...the files are getting really big if I upload the decorated lots. Now I have to find out how to zip them:P
May 3rd, Little Princess Yellow and Cream
It's been a hectic few weeks, but I have uploaded and set a publication day for my final Little Princess set recolor. Little Princess Yellow and Cream is set for publication on May 3, 2009. The set features pastel colors, cream and yellow, 3 new meshes, a bombe chest (similar to a hutch) with 6 decorative slots, and a chandelier with matching wall sconce. Part III includes 2 master files, which should give you plenty of mix and match color options.
I had a great time creating the chandelier and matching wall sconce, each has 4 recolor options---you may want to use them in other rooms.
I hope to start a new project within the next couple of weeks, I'm almost positive it will be a kitchen set. Recently, I did a little "spring cleaning" of my computer's hard drive and I discovered a couple of sets and recolors I forgot to publish. LOL, I blame my memory lapses on attending college and pesky relatives. I love my family, but they are an overly dramatic bunch! ;-)
Here are a few pictures of "spring cleaning" finds and other stuff...
