Release Date Confusion

A post by MayorRick has been found on the official BBS concerning the release date.� For those of you that are registered on the official site, you can see the entire thread here.� For everyone else... I will just tell you what it boils down to.

The official release date is still the 17th! However, as some of you may know, games are usually released on Tuesdays... the 17th falls on a Friday.� Some stores may be given the signal to release the game on the 14th (by their corporate offices, not Maxis) and as a result some sim fans may be able to grab their games on that day.� If you find that you can't get your game on the 14th, don't be upset... the game will definitely be sitting on the shelves when the 17th comes. :)


If you're still wondering about whether or not the game will even run once you have it in your possession, there's a neat tool on the Microsoft site called the XP Game Advisor. It's very easy to use, all the details and instructions can be found by clicking the link.� I ran the test for TS2 and a few games that I have... it seems fairly accurate.
