Importing TV Video

A neat fact about The Sims 2 is that when the Sims are watching television, they are actually watching a video. The great thing about this is that you can import your own videos into the game for the Sims to watch.

You can place video files in "My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Movies/Broadcast" and the folder for the channel on which you want the video to appear:

• TvChildren
• TvSBN
• TvMusic
• TvWorkout
• TvFood
• Games
• Commercials
• CommercialsNet

Files should be .avi of any size and codec. The larger the file, the more it will affect game performance, so keep clips down to about 15 frames per second and 128x128 pixels.
