The Sims 2: Holiday Edition

It's getting close to that time of year again again... you know, the holidays!� Many of you may be excited to hear that our simmies may be able to join in on the festivities this year!� Maxis plans on releasing a holiday edition of the game which will include 40 new holiday items that will allow�our sims to decorate their houses, serve dinner and sort out a Santa visit.

As the name implies, it is a�special edition of The Sims 2 - not an expansion pack.� It will go on sale just as the holiday shopping season starts in mid-November (Amazon says the 15th) and will cost the same as the regular game - $39.99.�

It would be awfully naughty of�Maxis to make existing players buy the game again, so�they will offer�a Holiday Party Pack for those of us that already own the game.� It will contain all of the new content that's included with the Holiday Edition but for a fraction of the price.

Hopefully there will be an official�announcment with more information soon.� I will be sure to update as soon as more information is released! :)

Update:
It's confirmed!� The official site just announced the Holiday Edition and Party Pack!��They will also offer 12 of the new objects for download during their Holiday Giveaway.

Have I got it right that it'll be available from the maxis website Nov 17? Well of course, right when I'm on hols overseas $\:eek\:$

I've just done a search on the net to find out if and when it will be released in the uk and i came across gameplay and found a section on it where you can order it and it will cost 9.99 which i thought was great not unless i am looking at it wrong lol..
