Fear the Pets, Destroyers of All!
So, that title's probably got you all wondering if I've gone insane or not, but I assure you, I haven't. That's just a quote from the community chat that was just held at the official site a few hours ago that I found particularly humorous, but more on that in a second.
First off, it's been a long time since the last update, so we're going to rush through all of this pretty quickly! MaxoidMoonBelly updated her blog a few times since the last news update here, and MaxoidMel has some new information in their blog as well. In addition to the new blog entries from MaxoidMoonBelly, she has some new houses available on the exchange as well, so grab them while you can!
A second issue of the Sims 2 Pets Training paper is now online. There's many great tidbits in there, including information that we'll be able to take walks with our pets! But don't get too excited, they told us in the chat that it'll function just like the Take a Spin interaction from Nightlife in that they'll go off the lot for a bit and then come back.
For you Mac Simmers, some awesome news! The Sims 2 Pets will be released for the Mac just a few weeks after the PC players get their copies! For further details, see the Inside Mac Games website.
Like the Stuff Packs, the Sims 2 Pets expansion will be available for digital download via the EA Downloader. You can see more details about that here at the EA site.
There's a new preview video at the German Sims 2 site. It's a long one, and the narration is all in German, but the action you see pretty much explains most of it very well, so it's worth it. You can download the video at the German site.
Hilary Duff, who is an avid Sims player as well, will be included in the Pets game when it is released. For the console games, she will be built in, but for the PC expansion, she'll be downloadable. Read more about it via this press release or at the About page for the Pets games here.
Finally, from the chat today, you can read the transcript from the console game chat. The transcript for the PC expansion is here.
That's all for now, (that was a lot of reading wasn't it? :P ) look for more news soon!
