Submitting a Set
A Set is two or more individual like items that you need to have grouped as a collection on TSR. Submitting a full Sims 4 Set to TSR is pretty convenient, as you can put all the files in a single ZIP, and the submission system will split it for you, creating both the Set as well as the individual items. This is required for several like items, clothing outfits, and item uploads of the same nature. Sims and lots are exempt from this requirement.
1. Create Preview Screenshots
Before you start, make sure you have created a preview for your set and previews for each of the individual items in your set. The size of each of the previews needs to have the proportions 4:3, with a minimum size of 920 x 690 and a maximum size of 1024 x 768. The main preview of your set must be an in-game preview.
2. Create ZIP for Upload
Put both the Sims 4 packs, as well as the corresponding preview images in the ZIP. Use the same name on the preview image as you have on the matching Sims 4 pack. The system will then recognize your picture name and link it to your Sims 4 packs at the same time.
Then name the archive:
- sims4set_nameofset.zip
Example:
- GardenJunk.jpg (Set Screenshot)
- GardenJunk_BrokenToilet.package
- GardenJunk_BrokenToilet.jpg
- GardenJunk_RustyBike.package
- GardenJunk_RustyBike.jpg
- GardenJunk_WaterPump.package
- GardenJunk_WaterPump.jpg
- …
The name of the set can be changed later.
3. Submit Set
From the Start page click on the option Get it from my computer. Select the sims4set you wish to upload and click Next. You must agree to Submissions Terms and Conditions before you continue. Then the system unpacks your set and places your individual pictures on your sims 4 package files. Be patient, depending on the size of the set this can take some time.
4. Edit Set
Once your set is uploaded, you can find it under the Uploads tab. You must pull up the main preview for your set and edit the category there first. Once you update the file you will be able to batch fix the rest of the individual items.
5. Edit Individual Items
At this point, you still need to add categories to your individual items. Not setting categories on individual items will get your set rejected.
There is a batch edit feature on your upload. This is a convenient way of editing several items at once. Batch edit will allow you to add categories, and will also allow you to change descriptions and add keywords. If you want to add extra previews, you can do that by clicking on the individual items, which will allow you to do a full edit.
Please do not combine all package files in one zip file for uploading. Your creation will receive a rejection when doing this.
Also please do not combine CAS items and objects in one set. Those should be uploaded in separate sets (or as individual items).
