Created for: The Sims 3

Foreword: Nereids were the 50 [or up to 100 according to source] sea-nymph daughters of Nereus the old man of the sea. They were goddesses of the sea's rich bounty and protectors of sea creatures, sailors and fishermen, coming to the aid of those in distress. . Since my lot is built on high land overlooking the sea, I thought the name - and the connection - worth considering.

Nereid is a multi-level, 3 bedroom cement block construction; it has a basically square footprint, with extended, semi-cantilevered balconies, supported by pillars, on three corners. The perimeter on all levels is bordered by walkways, with decorative mouldings topped by a glass fence, and each of the corner spaces is occupied by a large satellite dish. The fourth corner, somewhat larger, faces the frontage and provides space for an outdoor game . . and a telescope.

1st floor [Ground level]: entry and reception area, with fountain; sittingroom with TV and seating; full bathroom with separate toilet; mudroom; lift.

2nd floor: This open plan area contains the kitchen and dining room [with back to back fireplaces]; living room with TV a bathroom with shower and the lift. There are a number of seating settings within this level, as well as a chess board set up in front of the diningroom fire. The area above the dinningroom is open through the upper level.

Top level: The master suite amenities include an ensuite bathroom with access to a separate dressingroom, open fireplace and well stocked bookcase. There is a second, double bedroom, also with ensuite bath - the third bedroom is a shared space . . with double bunks and a study desk; it also has it's own bathroom. A small, but efficient art/design studio/office rounds off the room count on this level . . but there is also a telephone 'corner' in the wide hallway adjacent to the lift.

Extras: The 4 car garage is secured by a gated entry, with electronic controls, as is the main house. The walled, sunny area at the front door contains tub and potted plants and a bench. A fountain - with a large sculpture and water garden - is situated between these two features. There is also a canopy-protected bench and flower cart at the rear door. Ladder stairs provide entry to the corner balconies and a conventional stair allows access to the air conditioning units on the roof - and the bins are discreetly 'hidden' in one of the rear pillars. The grounds are ultra low maintenace - just paving, a few scattered plantings of pampas grass and a small area of lawn around the water garden.

Nereid was built on and for the 40x40 lot at the end of Sunnyside Blvd. [evict the resident family and remove the existing building if you wish to use this site]. It has no special requirements other than a flat lot.

Creator Notes

Nereid is a marcorse original work.
I have all EPs/SPs [up to and including Into the Future] installed on my base-game; my game is fully patched and I have run TSR's Rigfix for Pets on all files in this build, therefore it contains nothing to cause problems.

It is base game compatible, but if you wish it to appear as I have presented it here, you must have the last patch installed. That patch ensures, that even if you don't have the EPs and SPs that I have installed, you WILL have access to any items that need them in order to be functional and visible.

If you don't have the patch [or the EP/SPs], then the game will replace 'missing' items with default ones . . .with mixed success sometimes. Such 'missing' items will not affect install or play for Nereid.

You may not re-upload Nereid anywhere, use it as a template to build a lot for upload or claim it as your own work - however, you may do anything you like with it, within your own game LOL.
