Testing...1...2...3
I am thrilled to say the least that at least 80 brave souls have downloaded my houses I put up "for sale" on TSR. Since these were my first submissions I find it quite a success that ANYone would be interested in what I had created. :-) I haven't made any new houses for upload only because I have been using a special buildset I downloaded from TSR and I am having lot of fun with it.
I also downloaded the Sims 3 Create A Pattern tool. That was fun! I have made some really nice, bold, "out-doors"-style patterns for your lawn chairs and other patio furniture. I suppose some of the pattern would be nice as accent to a wall for a bedroom. As soon as I get my patterns "styled" and have a pretty picture to go with them I will upload them to TSR.
I think I will get motivated over the next few weeks in designing more houses. I am house-hunting in real life and I love to look at the way people decorate. I really want to challenge myself to make cute, functional houses for the new sims in town. There never seems to be enough of those! I love the gorgeous houses other artists make, but seriously, if you don't cheat, who's sim really has THAT much money? :-) Nothing against a little "kaching" or a "motherlode" when your desprate! ;-)
Since I am just typing away, I want to add that I am sad Sims 3 doesn't have the "organizer-thingy" where we can sort by sets. I hated that feature for Sims 2 until I figured it out!! Then, I started to rely on the folders when making my sim houses. I knew I had a special room just for them I had downloaded and I knew exactly where all the pieces were! Now, I know I have the special room or accessory, but I spend so much time looking for it through all the menus. :-( Boo. Anyone else miss that feature?
Until next time!

A Jump Into the Unknown
Well, I did it. I finally got the courage to submit something to TSR! I have been a subscriber and daily visitor for years but never got the courage until now. The house I submitted was my Marsh Mansion Over-haul. I just liked the easy playability of the house. You could see everything going on without contantly rotating the screen. I like that about houses. Up or down viewing is the best. I think that is really my main motivation to submit houses. I love most people's uploads but it become cumbersome navigating "the house".
I didn't decorate the house with furniture. So much of my decor items are from other people and I always tend to delete other people's furniture arrangements anyways when making my Sim's personal touches! :-)
My husband was very encouraging for me to submit my houses..."You play it enough!" :-)
