What would I change about Sims 3? Well...

There are many but small things I miss from the previous Sims games and expansion packs that I would've like to have seen in Sims 3. However I do completely get why everything couldn't have been put in..

What I would bring in from Sims 1 & 2...

Guinea pigs! I thought they were great!
Hot Date was great for going out but also buying cool new stuff like jewelry was great to give to a loved one! It would be cool if Sims 3 had this option...
Getting ill was a realistic feature.. being able to get time off work because you were bitten on those fantastic guinea pigs with the chance of death was amazing!
You didn't have to garden! You could pay someone to do it for you!
You could actually see the buildings your Sim went to when they went to town.
Being able to do things like make out and Wohoo in the car... or even Wohoo in public!
Sims dating... You should have that option rather than tour an army base... not very romantic... Bring back fancy dining and being rated on your dating skills then getting gifts from it!
Shopping for clothes and groceries... at the time I was annoyed that you didn't have all the clothes in your wardrobe already but thinking back I did like my Sim going out an trying on stuff etc. With the groceries I liked them being delivered online when I felt lazy.
Having the option to invite the Headmaster over to get your kids into private school was was fantastic feature even if I was angry with him most of the time for not accepting!

I know there is plenty more, but don't get me wrong there are great things about Sims 3 like...

Riding a bike places rather than driving
Not having loading screens
Events happening around the town
People can stay over
The wishes are a lot more interesting
You get to go to neighbors houses
You choose their traits to make it more realistic
Sneezing and coughing, slamming the fridge door and getting annoyed at the draws not opening is a nice realistic feature...

I could go on but please if you have anything you would like to see from Sims 1 or 2 or anything you particularly love about Sims 3 that they other 2 didn't have comment back.

Like Hiedi said, I don't doubt that soon you will see some of those missed favorites on your list. I had totally forgotten about 'dating', but you can get creative with this one. I send my couples to places they can eat outside (parks or non rabbit hole community lots that I've made or downloaded). As for pets, I loved Unleashed and hated Pets. It totally felt like they took a step back creatively. I too, miss the headmaster. At least it felt like you actually had a hand in your Sim kids education, now they are just kind of on their own. As for the guinea pig....lolol....I lost A LOT of Sims that way. It was amazing how fast my little Simmies would die after being infected. I too wish that this one was in the Sims 3. I also miss the random Sims that would show up when you had someone throw a house party (from Sims 1 House Party EP). Wow, thanks for this blog, it was nice going back down memory lane. $\:\)$ ~ Pene

Don't worry if you're missing stuff from TS1 and/or TS2; I wouldn't worry about it.......won't take them too long to regergitate the TS1 & TS2 packs into TS3 expansions. $\;\)$ Remember when wer were missing TS1 unleashed & wanted pets for our TS2 Sims? $\:confused\:$   EA put out Unleashed for TS1 & gave TS2 Sims "Pets". $\:cool\:$   Hullo they want your $$$!!! :P

Well, I miss my pets the most. I miss the dateing too. I also miss the chemistry bolts. I miss sending them to college too. I miss bathing the infant sim babies in the sink. I miss the piano and the violin. I don't miss seasons however I do miss the rain with the lighting and thunder. I am sure theres lots more but those are top on my list. I love talking to the ghost in sims3, I love the sound effects. I love the freedom they have. I love the ease of uploading lots and sims from sims3 too.
