Here are the methods that keep your Sim looking innocent while still enjoying the flames spreading across the lot. The Art of “Accidental” Fires
In this guide from fluffhq, there are 22 ways to start a fire by accident. Some you’re sure you know, but others may surprise you. We won’t cover all 22 in this guide. We’ll cover the ways most likely to start a fire. As in the last guide, we will share the corresponding pack for each method. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!
But first, let’s clarify the 6 ways to improve your odds of starting a fire. First off, place fireworks near fire hazards. Secondly, have the Cursed lot challenge. Thirdly, have the Island Spirit lot trait. Fourthly, have the Sim receive a begonia-scented bouquet. Fifth, have a Sim pull a Wands card when doing a tarot reading. And lastly, have an Industrial footprint. These are ways to increase the likelihood of starting a fire during activities like cooking.
The Most Likely Ways to Start a Fire
If Laundry Day is installed, Sims can own appliances like washing machines and dryers. However, if the Sim isn’t mindful, appliances can catch on fire. Cleaning out the lint tray is very important because if you don’t, the likelihood of a fire starting is very high. Drying laundry with a full lint tray will almost guarantee a fire.
City Living includes fireworks, which players often overlook. Fireworks, especially when used indoors, are very likely to start a fire. Place a firework indoors and light it. Soon, the lot will be up in flames. It has a very high chance of causing a fire.
Power Generators were introduced with Eco Living. For some reason, there’s a big red danger button. Now why wouldn’t a Sim press it? After adding fuel to the generator, have the Sim press the red danger button. We’d step back if we were your Sim, because there’s a very high chance that the generator will catch fire.
Likely Ways to Start A Fire
Another feature The Sims 4 brought to Eco Lifestyle is the ability to upgrade your toilet into a composter. Upgrade the toilet with the Composting Container and ensure that you have no insect farms available. It will randomly combust and is highly likely to.
In Island Living, Sims can technically interact with a volcano. If a Sim has the Sulani Mana trait, they can actually summon a Volcanic Bomb! It has a high chance of causing a fire. We don’t think the locals will be pleased.
If you own Bust the Dust, the Sim can influence the dust bunnies. Enable dust in your save and let the dust build up. Once it has, raise a Filth Fiend to Mischief level: Very High. The little ball of dust will do everything in its power to be mischievous. Which apparently includes causing fires in the home.
