EA Is Now Bundling Moola With Sims 4 DLC – And That Could Be a Big Deal
EA has found a new way to introduce more players to Sims 4 Moola.
Players who buy The Sims 4 Music Den Kit currently receive 200 bonus Moola with their purchase.
The promotion runs until October 22, 2026.
EA even lists the DLC as “The Sims 4 Music Den Kit + 200 Moola” on its store.

At first glance, it looks like a simple free bonus. However, it also gives EA an interesting way to push existing DLC buyers towards its newer Marketplace system.
What Do You Get With the Music Den Kit?
EA launched the Music Den Kit on July 23 for $4.99.
The Build/Buy Kit contains 27 items for creating music-themed spaces. It includes furniture, wall decorations, soundproofing, and musical decor.
However, anyone who buys it during the promotion also receives 200 Moola.
EA announced the offer alongside the Kit in July.

The interesting part is what players can do with that bonus.
The Bonus Sends Players Straight Back to Marketplace
EA introduced Moola alongside The Sims 4 Marketplace in March 2026.
Players can spend the virtual currency on Maker Packs and official Sims 4 Kits.
EA normally sells Moola separately. Its launch pricing included 200 Moola for $2.49, although prices can vary by region and platform.

Players can’t earn Moola through normal gameplay.
Instead, they need to buy it or receive it through an offer such as the Music Den promotion.
That makes the free 200 Moola particularly interesting.
Someone can buy a normal Sims 4 Kit and suddenly find virtual currency sitting in their account. They then have a reason to open Marketplace and see what they can spend it on.
EA Is Already Promoting What You Can Buy With It
EA isn’t hiding that connection.
The current Sims 4 Marketplace website features a section called “Save on These With Your 200 Moola Bonus.”
It promotes Maker Packs from creators including TwistedCat, Miiko, MADLEN, and SixamCC.
That turns the Music Den promotion into more than a free extra.
It also works as an introduction to EA’s new Marketplace economy.
Players who previously ignored Moola now have some to spend. Once they enter Marketplace, they can browse many more Maker Packs and Kits.
Moola Is Becoming Harder to Ignore
EA only introduced Sims 4 Moola five months ago.
However, the currency already plays a major role in Marketplace.
EA requires Moola for Maker Packs. Console players also use it to purchase Kits through the in-game Marketplace.
On PC and Mac, players can still buy Kits with normal currency through stores such as the EA app and Steam.
The Music Den promotion now connects those two purchasing systems.
Players can buy traditional DLC as usual and then receive currency designed specifically for the Marketplace.
Could We See More Moola Bonuses?
EA hasn’t announced another promotion like this yet.
However, the Music Den Kit shows how easily the company can connect traditional Sims DLC with Marketplace.
A free currency bonus can encourage players to try Maker Packs without asking them to buy Moola first.
Whether EA repeats the idea with future Kits or Expansion Packs remains to be seen.
For now, the Sims 4 Moola experiment is clearly expanding beyond a simple virtual currency store.
EA has started putting Moola directly into promotions for regular Sims DLC — and that could be a sign of how closely Marketplace and traditional Sims content will connect in the future.
