The Sims 4 Wants Your Feedback in a New Community Survey
After the monthly Q&A with the Sims 4 Devs on 9/15/2026, a new community survey was released. This survey will be available until September 21st at 5 p.m. PST (US). The last Sims Community Survey reportedly had a major impact on the direction of recent updates and the free items released with them.
What Is A Community Survey
If you have never participated in a Community Survey, it is basically a set of questions that gather data on the community’s thoughts and feedback. Companies use this data to see how they are doing and plan their next steps. In this situation, The Sims is trying to see what the Community wants in the game and where the areas for improvement are, to help fill in the gaps.
What Is In This Survey
This survey includes a series of questions about what types of CAS and BB items players are most interested in. The survey includes 5 short pages of questions. Each page lists items and lets you pick up to 10. It ends with open-ended questions for more specific feedback.

According to the Sims team, this is because they are seeing a community focus on visual and cosmetic items. This survey will help the team decide what items come to the game next.
Final Thoughts
It’s always wonderful to see a Community Survey, especially one that the team will likely use. I have noticed that the Sims team generally puts these Community Surveys to good use. Recently, the Community voted on DLC and recent updates, which the Community drove.
I love seeing the effort to improve the game based on community feedback, but I find this Community Survey too general. It lists nearly every object in the game in broad terms. Then the survey provides an open text box for directed questions. It seems like the focus is more on giving 10 stoves than anything else, but if that is what the community is requesting… We can’t really blame them.
If you wish to participate in the Community Survey, you have until Sept 21st at 5:00pm PST. If you need a link to the Survey, it is HERE
