Sims 4 Players Wanted New Instruments, Not Music Den Kit Reskins

On July 23rd, Electronic Arts released the Sims 4 Music Den Kit to players. It sells for 4.99 USD, and if bought before October 2026, players will receive 200 Moola. The kit comes with 27 build items, allowing players to add to their ever-growing collection of clutter and decor. Music Den Kit comes with 5 new instrument skins for guitars and keyboards.

The Sims 4 Music Den Kit leans into a retro-futuristic vibe to give your Sim a chill, jazzy moment when they kick back to relax. Or when they decide to expand their musical prowess. It’s perfect for players who love a good musical Sim. Though not everyone is happy with the kit.

Over on r/Sims4, players are not at all happy about the new kit and its items. The most common complaint is that players want new instruments rather than existing instruments with new skins. Drums are a common request in the thread, as well as brass instruments. violet-waves states, “For all the jazz content they should have one. There’s like 10 jazz portraits in the art.” Many others agreed with the sentiment, wondering when The Sims 4 will receive new instruments.

Others complain that they’re tired of being teased with musical items when we have no bands for Sims to play those instruments in. moniefeesh jokes, “Sims 4 players: WE WANT BANDS! EA: We have bands at home.” With hundreds of comments all sharing the same opinion of wanting bands or wanting new instruments, one can’t help but wonder if EA will take inspiration and give the players what they want.
