The Sims 4 Launches Dedicated Discord Space to Help Modders Prepare for Updates!
Every player in The Sims 4 community is a valuable member! Whether you’re a long-time player, just stumbled across the game, or have been creating mods for years, you help make The Sims what it is today. From content creators to custom content creators to everyday players, every one of you matters in breathing life into The Sims! And even the Sims team recognizes this!
The Importance of Modders
In The Sims Discord, Cade made a statement regarding all modders. The Sims team has made it a point to show the mod community just how valuable they are to The Sims 4! On October 26th, the Plorbs Team announced that they are “launching a dedicated space specifically designed to help modders prepare for upcoming game updates”. The space will be solely for modders and custom content creators who will need to receive “technical assets and documentation directly from the development team.”

Cade’s Statement on The Sims Discord
The Sims has always celebrated creativity and imagination, whether through mod creators, builders, or Sim creators. Modders have long been an important part of the Sims community, bringing an extra element of creativity to the franchise. From the beginning, The Sims has encouraged modders to share their creativity and talents with the community. However, this appears to be the first time The Sims has invited modders to contribute behind the scenes.
This is an exciting step for all modders! In doing so, the Sim team has created a space where mod creators can stay in the loop, enabling faster mod updates. We’re excited to see what this will mean for the modding community as the game continues to receive quality-of-life improvements. Hopefully, this will create a smoother experience for both players and modders. Keep in mind that this space isn’t a hub for mod updates, game patches, or new release announcements. The space is only for creators of custom content and mods.
If you’re a creator and are interested, head over to The Sims Discord! Navigate to the Channels & Roles tab. Select the Modder role. Once you select your role, the space unlocks automatically. You’ll also be tagged in future updates, ensuring you never miss an important announcement.
