The faery Murfee encounters her very first dragon...! A tale of mystery, magic, and true love! Hello! Murf here! You may have heard of me--quircky outspoken Cookoolander, obssessed with all things magical and fantastic. You may have also heard how utterly BORED I've been lately. No matter what I did, no joy ever reached my lonely heart. Not inventing, not alchemy, not even broomstick-riding and faery-trapping mailboxes could hold my attention for long! I couldn't endure such a hollow existence! In search of guidance as to how I could possibly fill the void I paid a visit to the Temple of the Dragon King, my totem deity (and my ancestor on my mother's uncle's fifth wife's grandneice's cousin's half-brother's father's aunt's side). Ohhhhhh magnificent illustrious Lord of the Elements, hear my prayer and grant me my fondest wish: a companion to spend my waking hours with, who doesn't mind my bouts of insanity and excessive emissions of faery dust, which I hear some folk have allergic reactions to~! Nothing but deafening silence answered me. Well, so much for the power of prayer! For many moons I returned to the Temple, however, lighting the incense and crying out to the heavens for an answer. I made sacrifices, left gifts, and conjured up all kinds of goodies so that the gods might give me a boon. I was soon losing all hope. And then one night my life changed. Woken from my sleep by a noise outside I rose from my bed and rushed back to the Temple, where the eerie sounds were coming from. What in the world!? Where did this odd-looking egg come from, and what is it doing here of all places? Could it be...?! Without another thought I took the mysterious egg back home with me, but I had no idea what to do with it! Frying it down with butter and toast was out of the question. So I buffed it down, talked with it about existentialism, and used it as a paper weight. Hours passed before I finally decided to try and hatch it, Targaryen style! At first I feared I had completely lost my marbles. What was I doing setting fire to a frikkin egg!? But my inner fae intuition told me that I was doing the right thing. I waited a few minutes, and soon heard telltale cracks and snaps coming from the depths of the fires. My egg was breaking open! I quickly got out of the way as smoke and glitter began to fill the room, but I couldn't get far before tiny cries turned my attention to the little black thing in the middle of my room. Holy plumbbobs! Why--it was a real live cute! baby! DRAGON! Right there in front of me! It was fragile and weak at first, teetering on its little clawed feet, but soon unfurled its wings and began to fly, whirling around me as I stood there, stunned speechless and about to cry. Tentatively I stuck out my arm, and the dear little thing perched itself down -- such immediate trust and fondness that blossomed out of this simplest of gestures! I was all choked up, I tell you, overcome with emotion as it sqwaked and purred, its little beak curling into a grin even as I broke out into a smile of elation! A black armored baby dragon! And it matches with my home decor perfectly! I'll call you Sableopteryx, I told the precious simvern. I ran outside to let Sable spread her wings and witness more of her utter magnificence! Fly, my pretty--fly, fly! I watched little Sable take to the skies, and felt my heart soar with her. There truly is no greater joy, more fulfilling bliss, more overpowering love than this! I suppose there truly IS power behind prayers after all!

The End.

@Smileface: which world?
-The story takes place in Shang Simla, which is one of the 3 adventure worlds that comes with the World Adventures EP. If you have the WA EP you just use your sims' phone and call up the Real Estate agent, and they book you a trip to Shang Simla (China), Champs les Sims (France), or Al Simhara (Egypt).
-The dragon comes from the EA Store website world Dragon Valley (the black dragon sadly only comes with the more expensive Gold pack). You have to buy the simpoint bundle at the Store using stuff like credit cards, paypal and EA cash cards, etc, in order to receive the DV world file download.
