Technical probs! :(

Hey all.as some of you will know I was doing a tutorial however I got everything done but after going to start and get out of my file storage I can't find my rar pack even tho I spelt everything correct :( So it might be a while! If any of you have any ideas how to over come this prob plz let me know ta x

Playing the Sims all day!!

I'm so excited. I'm about to just play The Sims 3 all day. I have this weekend off from worlk. Time to relax and unwind. So, what are ya'lls plans for this weekend? Whatever you all do, I hope that you take the time and be safe!

Difficulty accessing TSR

Has anyone else noticed that once you pay your subscription fees it gets harder to access TSR?  All of a sudden there is no way to contact them or file a comlaint.  Even though I have paid my subscriptions I have no access to help.  You would think that a website as big as this would provide a user-friendly way for PAYING customers to find resolution to problems.  I won't be renewing - but I can't even tell them that!  The application freezes my computer and I have 2 g of RAM.

Second Wardrobeset finished

Yeah, ich passed my exam today and finished the wardrobeset....made my day.

Pieces of Me Chapter 8

I spent a grueling day writing my 8th chapter, hoping I could get it up before the weekend hit. Hopefully I will have time today to put it together and submit it so that you will have it for the weekend.  So very very busy, so i would like to thank everyone who has commented on my bonus chapter as well as my 7th chapter!

The 8th chapter, was tough to write, I know where i wanted to take the story when i sat down to write it, i was just unsure how i would get it there, and after i played out a few senarios in my head i kind of put all the ideas together and went with it since i couldn't pick just one.

I know i left the story hanging at part where everyone was wondering pretty much what the hell is wrong with Dani! I did it that way because well, even in stories is nice to have a dose of reality, i mean how many of us didn't find ourselves in Dani's shoes at least once in our life, maybe not the same exact situation but, taking a path that we think is the right one, and completely unaware that maybe our decision wasn't the best? I know i have on more than one ocassion!

So im off now to deal with that pesky little thing called life, and hopefully through out the day little by little i'll start uploading it for submission!

Major Extraction Project - Rabbitholes uncovered

Well today I started on a massive extraction projects. I have gone through all the rabbithole meshes and pulled out anything that looked vaguely useful (and there is a lot!) With these new images I hope to do a few walls, doors, pictures and perhaps a few other objects. There is so much in those rabbitholes that would be useful for our sims homes but that we currently don't have. Although there are so many different options I think the project should go relatively quickly because many of the things are not difficult to recolour (especially given the fact that I already have the image from the rabbitholes). So look out for my extraction project items.

The things that matter in life

Last week my dad was rushed to hospital with a combination of pneumonia and heart attack. He was quite bad for several days but is on his way to recovery now. It was a tough week for the whole family so we are all feeling relieved now.

This is one of those things that make you stop and think about what is important in life. Family, friends, and good health. Next is doing something you enjoy for a living. I think that I have started to look at different aspects of my life a bit differently after last week and it will be interesting to see how it will affect me and what choices I will make for myself from now on.

I am really missing the game. It's so nice to forget about the outside world for a few hours and watch my sims go on with their lives. I spent some time in a computer shop today discussing the specs of my new desktop with one of the sellers and now I have an offer that I will scrutinize and think about during the weekend. It will be a custom built PC and If I still like the specs after the weekend I am going to order it.

Strawberry Shortcake Bedroom set - coming soon

Sorry I haven't updated my blog for so long but I get so into making things that I don't end up with much time for updating but now I wanted to tell you about a new set I have just put together that is due out soon - the Strawberry Shortcake bedroom set.

This set was inspired by Anita Taylor's Strawberry Shortcake pictures and Ruth Marie (drib_ydal) encouraged me to go for it. The set consists of one bed with four variations, an end table, table lamp, wall lamp, round rug in four variations, dresser and two different sets of curtains.

I am still hoping to add more items to it, make the rugs recolourable and also make a number of other sets like this including Garfield, Victoria Plum and Pooh Bear and friends. Hope you like them.

What To Do

I'm back again. Like that bad penny. Aw, c'mon, you love me anyway. Maybe.

So I've finally let myself play a family long enough to get 6 kids going. The oldest will hit YA soon. The youngest is a toddler. I've really given a couple of my lots a full 8 sim salute. Heck, if I could have more than 8 on that lot I would. This couple makes some dynamite offspring. Too bad everyone else in the hood is fugly. Guess I'll have to seed the town again with more of my "stock" sims. Every kid that has come home with my sim's kids has been down right scary in the face region. The kids have nightmares about their friends. Who makes this stuff? And make them stop!

One of the funniest things the Dad sim did was wake up at 2 a.m. and drive over to a kid's house to tell her to behave after she upset everyone in his household with rude behavior. ROFL How'd he know? He was sleeping the whole time and once the rest of the family went to sleep he got up to yell at her. Bad dream? The wife slipped him a note in bed? What? The girl was still up and her parents were in bed. They didn't seem to care some ticked off father was in their house at 2:30 a.m. yelling at their daughter. Their only child too, which is really sad because she has horrible traits. She was insane, a kleptomaniac, and grumpy. Those are the 3 my sims picked up anyway. We won't be calling her over for dinner. Another day some kid came home with my sim and he was evil, over emotional, and... friendly. How does that work? A... evil crybaby that really loves people? He laughed that wicked laugh the whole time he was there. Creepy. And the multitude of other sims my sims have come across also have crap traits. I think that AI needs some tweaking EA. Shame they can't get that to a better state after 3 games. If I let my sims go on autopilot they're dumber than Sims 2 sims. They'll starve, pass out and pee themselves all while doing homework or chatting on the computer. Real urgent stuff there.

The one place I did find decent sims is France. Most of them are decent looking and have neutral or positive traits. It's not a country full of evil nutjobs that steal your laundry. China is kind of crazy. They're all a bit "off". I don't spend much time in Egypt. It makes me hot I guess. I don't like hot. And I like sand even less.

Well, it's been interesting, and fun. I'll need homes for all the kids so I'll probably get back to lot building soon. I don't have enough freetime to do everything. Work is getting bad again so Dragon Age may get dusted off and popped back in the laptop.

3 New Pattern Sets- Coming Soon!!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I have some exciting new pattern sets coming out within the next couple of days! I couldn't sleep last night so I spent 4 hours researching, getting inspired, and working on some brand new patterns. The sets will be: Liberty of London Prints, Civil War Reproduction, and French Country. Keep your eyes peeled for a possible Lilly Pulitzer set in the future as well!

hmm...maybe i can start a new project for now

i've been having a problem with my project - eyeshadow & eyeliner. my eyeshadow covers any eyeliner over, even eyeliners from EA. i cannot find a solution by myself, i'm a very beginner! maybe for now i can start a new project. i can creat something not eyeshadow. maybe i can learn how to create clothings too. oh but it would be difficult too. hmm...i will try sometime though :) i'll see what project i can start for now till i get the answer to solve the eyeshadow problem. and when i get something nice i will upload it here :) hope i will soon :) if any of you can help me i'd appreciate it. i've put a thread on forum - workshop CAS part.

Sims 3 and Story

This is my first blog! I think that sims is great! Sims 3 is becoming a lot better now that there are expansion packs for. Late night sounds like it is going to make sims 3 even better.

I am writing a new story the first part has already been uploaded. It is called Sims Station. If you know what Big Brother is then you will see that my story is kinda like that. Well that is what I was aiming for anyway! I hope you all enjoy reading it! Please take part in the voting as it will make the story more interesting and alot better. Thank you!

Wow!!

I just can't believe that I got "featured" on my new set "Holbrook Collection"...  I'm very honored to receive such a wonderful "gift"!  Wow! 

I'm really enjoying meshing and creating things that I hope others might enjoy for their Sims...   Meshing for me is like visiting the land of Oz!  I swear I see the Cheshire Cat grinning "evily" at me when I make something that ends up in the trash bin... or the Red Queen screaming "Off with her head"...  lol

Poly is started

My first object in my first set is now released. The Poly Dining Chair. The name of the set is going to be "The Poly Set". The reason of the name "poly" is because all objects in the poly set is going to get a low polycount (very low polycount). I also have a poly fence, but I need to get IQ above 12 before uploading it. :D

Paintings & Prints

Well, some of you may have noticed that I've started to make some painting sets. YAY!

The main reason being, I often couldn't find quite what I was looking for in wall art and so decided it was time to get off my butt and make my own.. lol

Given this is all about me!.... *rolls eyes* My sets will follow a theme... the theme of me! What I want in my game! :D (which can be more commonly be described as beachy, nautical, vintage, period & antique themes... or a combination there of.... maybe with a bit of folk art and Americana thrown in for fun! Hopefully some of you, will have the same eclectic taste as me and will want this stuff too.

How do you make 2 sims pose together

If you have Open For Business, you can use the invisible recolor of the Magisplay tray, to put one of the sims on it, so it they don't snap out weirdly when you are trying to put them too close together. Download the recolor here-

These are all solutions for the snap-to problem that occurs when you try to place two sims too close to each other. I don't know what other "weird stuff" you have happening when you are trying to pose them, so can't really help further. What do you mean by "They'd usually be place right above the Sims"  :-\ ? What exactly is placed above the sims?
Some poses, like one sim holding the other in his/her arms and such, are made to be used with the type of OMSPs i talked about above.

MCP's High Poly List

This information is here so that you can make an informed decision as to what custom content goes into your game. We all know that an object's poly count can effect how the game runs. Some may be able to use the objects listed here with no problems while others experience severe lag or crashing with them. It's all subjective to what kind of computer you have and how it runs the game. Remember, the number of tiles an item is along with it's function in game do matter. A 5k poly deco vase (1 tile) that you use once on a lot may be fine for your computer to handle while a 5k poly counter (1 tile) that you use multiple times on a lot may not be. I've marked the items below as high poly based on the 800-1000 poly per tile Maxis stated long ago as the benchmark.

Pieces of Me Chapter 7

The 7th chapter of Pieces of Me is finally done, hooray!! This was a tough one, when i introduced Dani and Rene as boyfriend and girlfriend he asked her to come home with him for the break, and I wasn't sure how I was going to use his parents in the story,once i got started writing so many ideas came to me that I altered my story a bit with a little twist. So i hope that you will enjoy it and maybe even have a few laughs.

This chapter is a little longer, for all of you who hated clicking that little arrow after 20 something pages and nothing was left, yes i had you in mind. Its the longest chapter yet at 41 pages, so when its available to read grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!  And a big thanks to all your feedback, knowing what everyone wants really helps me reinvent the story and make it better, and hopefully make it better for you. I really enjoyed making this chapter over the last 2 days.

The 2nd bonus chapter (still waiting approval) and this chapter will be the last chapter untill next week sometime as i will be gone this weekend, hopefully those will hold you over untill next week!

Blogging as if there was no tomorrow

That is what I have been planning to do in quite some time. Blog about my simming adventures, muse over fundamental questions of the universe and spam your eyes with pixelated lots. Star Trek Beta, if you might have seen, is out, and I am doing very well for screenies, storylines .etc.

Violin, however, is taking longer to write. It is more of a story based on my experiences with.. everything, really. From work, to friends. Finding it hard to balance them both!

The Telescope (Part 4) MAJOR MISTAKE!! D:

Hey guys! I JUST realized that I'm missing 2 SLIDES on Part 4 of The Telescope, so I edited it and sent it back for aproval. I'm also finishing up Part 5 right now, and sorry it took an extra day. I've been having sleep issues (Don't worry I always have sleep issues. Especially before back-to-school...). So I hope this doesn't cause a bunch of confusion, but I was missing 2 important slides! Okay, well 1 was important 1 wasn't, but still. It bugs me. :) Thank you everyone for your support and comments!!!

Angela (Pleasant) and Jimmy Pheonex : the girls are growing up

household; Angela (Pleasant) Pheonex = adult

Jaymie Pheonex = Child/teen

It’s not that Angela didn’t like her sisters, she just didn’t approve of how they lived their lives.  Lillith had her oldest child long before she got married to the father.  Brian Broke was much younger then Lillith and the son of Dustin Broke.  Despite all the flaws Angela saw in Lillith’s life, it was Megan that upset her the most.

Megan just seemed to impulsively act on every want to pop in her head.  She stole Dirk from Lilith, had put the moves on Angela’s husband, Jimmy before the wedding and now there were rumors of another scandal.  It was because of Megan that Angela ended up moving in with her Grandmother, Coral Oldie.  Coral and Herb had moved to back to Pleasantview incase Mary-sue was to die before Megan went to college.  After Herb passed away, Coral left her cozy apartment and bought a big house for Megan to move to after college.  Only Megan decided she no longer wanted the house, moving with Dirk in with his stepmom.  Angela and Jimmy moved in with Coral who had found herself with more house then she needed.

It had worked out for Angela though.  Coral had been a big help with their older daughter Dianna.  Coral had hoped to live long enough to see Angela’s second child born but she had died just before Jaymie was born.

Jimmy took everything in stride.  He hadn’t been attached to the little house he’d bought out of college.  He did miss the dinner parties that he and his wife use to have.  He often laughed when he tried to imagine Beau Broke’s reaction to all the pink walls and floors when he moved into that house.  Angela liked pink.  Every where she lived she redecorated in shades of pink, but she had toned it down some in their current home.  He liked see her happy.  What would make her happy now was getting the yard cleaned up before Jaymie’s birthday. 

They normally left the yard work for the gardner but Angela thought there was too much to do to leave for the gardener.  She didn’t want anyone seeing her house like that on a special occasion.  She couldn’t prevent how they saw the house when Dianna had paries while they were at work.

Dianna and Jaymie gave some help to their parents with the yard work but they had what they felt was more important things to do.   Messing around on the computers,  calling their friends, and watching TV  instead of focusing on their homework.  Jaymie would usely manage to get all hers done before bed, but Dianna was constantly trying to get hers finished before the school bus arrived. 

Now that her parents had Monday, Tuesday and Wenseday off, Dianna spent more time on her homework.  She had to bring her grades up if she was going to be able to go to college and she was running out of time. 

Jaymie’s Birthday party was a hugh success and she grew up well into a teenager with knowledge asperations.  She didn’t get a chance to talk with all the party guest.  She made sure she talked with her Uncle Dan.  She gossiped a little with her Aunt Megan.  She spent a good part of the party play chess with her Aunt Lillith.  After the party she finished her homework, worked a little on Dianna’s, took a shower and went to bed.

Dianna had gone to bed before the party had ended.  When she woke in the morning she dreaded her homework.  she was surpised to discover Jaymie had gotten a good bit done and she was able to get it finished before the school bus came.  Angela and Jimmy had the day off.  They slept in and spent the day working on their skills.  They were both chefs and very close to reaching the top of the profession.  When the girls got home they were set to work on their homework. 

By Thrusday  Dianna had brought her grades up to an A minus. 

“let’s celebrate”  she told her sister as they put their homework on their desks in the downstairs playroom. 

Jaymie got started on her homework while her sister called some friends.  The house party was in full swing when Jaymie finally finished.  She got a plate of the burnt food her sister had made and joined the conversation at the table.  She’d never bothered talking with her sister’s friends before.  They turned out to be a lot of fun.  Even their cousins Kitten Lames and Kendra Pleasant had come.   A guy named Sam Fancey kept trying to clean up the ever growing number of chip bags.  Another guy named Dean Calentia was flirting with all the girls.  Bobbie Happiness and Brandon Roseland where watching TV.

Just as the party was winding down, Angela and Jimmy arrived home from work.  Jimmy went right to bed and Angela started cleaning up. 

After their parents went to bed, Dianna found her sister studying cooking in the den.  She put music videos on and talked to her sister for a bit. 

“I’m gonna move to college tonight,” Dianna said, “try to have some fun while your young, ok. There is more to life then books.”

Jaymie laughed, “there’s more to life then being popular.”

“Like what?”  Dianna said pretending to be shocked.

“Well, books of course” Jaymie teased.

The two girls laughed.  They shared a quick hug.  Jaymie went back to reading as her sister called a cab.  They’d never been very close but Jaymie thought about what her sister said.  She reasoned that her sister had a point.  There where many things she could learn that wasn’t in a book.  She turned the page as the front door clicked closed behind her sister.  With a deep sigh, Jaymie closed her book and headed upstairs to bed.  She took her usual short cut through her sister’s now empty room.  She realized she was going to miss her sister more then she had though.

My Bedroom Plus .... Coming Soon!

      After My Bedroom Set, I received several messages. They said that, It has been better without Mickey Mouse. This is a matter of preference.

      I thought this set as a teen room and call it My Bedroom Plus. There are six new objects. Other three objects from My Bedroom Set and I only remove Mickey Mouse. I hope everyone is glad.

This set contains: Book Shelf, Computer Case, Computer Screen, Double Bed , Dresser, Guitar Case, Painting, Table Lamp and Shelf. (End table, chair and desk from My Bedroom Set, coffee cups from Cappuccino Bedroom Set, books on the shelf from Cappuccino Reading Corner Set, pillow from Sweet Pillows Set)

i've got some ideas for my first creation on TSR...but i haven't made it as nice as it could satisfy me yet.

i hope to get it to something beautiful...beautiful enough to make everyone happy :D 

it would be something inspired by my fav series back home in japan.

Pieces of Me Bonus Chapter 2

The 2nd bonus chapter for Pieces of Me is being put together and will be out soon. This bonus chapter will again go through the eyes of Ari from chapters 4 and 5. We will gain some insight as to more of what happened that Dani is such a wreck about. Even though I took the story through a different path then planned due to relationships that formed when i walked away from my computer for a little bit, i decided to go with it.

I will be throwing a little twist into the story soon as well! Working on Chapter 7 now and hopefully have it out before the weekend as i will be gone all weekend, assuming my game doesn't throw me any more surprizes that can't be controlled, though they make for funny screenshots!

Since adding Rene to the story I wondered which guy that some of you would like better so I have also added a poll on my mini site for anyone to vote if they like Ari or Rene better, so please take a moment to participate!

What a week

Well a lot of things happened this week!

My new glasses came in, so nerdy... they make me happy.

I Have worked a lot, hurt my wrist so I now had to quit my job ( sucks for me)

My sister moved back in after a fight with her fiance.

and some more things, overall I haven't been home a lot.

I have worked on a few lots, and finished some too... made up the details and prepared everything to upload them. The lots are quite big so I had to wait till my subscription to upload them, wel good news people I renewed my subscription so I will be uploading a few lots (unfurnished) later today or tomorrow!

Well... this was just a little update on everything and I hope you guys are as psyched about the lots as I am... Lets hope they won't get rejected and will be online in a few days <3

Select Artist Sims 2 & 3

I am SO excited to be a Select Artist for both Sims 2 & now Sims 3! I've tons of things in the process. As you know I love to make replicas of authentic homes. I just loaded The Breakers last week and am going to load the Mark Twain House for this week. I spent time visiting relatives in the Scottish highlands (just back from holiday), so I also have some bright Tartan Plaids patterns coming out Friday.

The real truth about the mini Tudors

For the last few days, I've been trying to squeeze really tiny starter homes in 10x10 lots. But that's not all. Each of these homes include an underground cellar that can only be accessed if you perform a particular action. You may have to remove a book from a shelf, or a gem (or even an innocent looking gnome) from a display to visit the hidden room.

Why, you might ask? Why make something so small you hardly find room for a mailbox?

I could say the lots are easier to load if they are small and can fit virtually anywhere on the map and the hidden cellar are just a fun little feature... but that would only be a fraction of the truth. The real reason it's all part of my evil plot to dominate your town. There, I said it! Just don't make me repeat it again.

Rediscovering the site

Nothing new here... I'm still mexican, and as far as I'm aware, I'm still me (How selfish, hahahaha)

Recently, I've found myself playing the Sims 2 once again, since I've found the Freetime EP. Yet, work and some other "activities" have interferred with it, hahaha.

I'll try to make and upload something... Though I'm a bit rusted: Three years without a creation defo need some cure, right?

Alcudia, Mallorca, Spain, part 3 (stuck on Mallorca)

Hi ya all as you've all notice I'm playing, building, decorating again I've got some more time now.

All is well only one thing I'm stuck on Mallorca I can't leave the Island not that I want to but I'm truly stuck.

Last week my wallet is stolen and in there was my ID card wich I use to travel with within the European Union. for the time being I'm stuck.

to busy any way at the moment next week monday we've got the premiere from the new show We Will Rock You a lot of new dances to learn and lyrics but pretty cool show to do..... I hope I'll be able to get some photo's from it and I'll post them then here or on facebook....
