This winter and my creating.
This winter has been.....interesting ! I've been finding it difficult to get good restful sleep. :( I've been using the Sims & some point & click sort of games to help keep my mind busy. I came up with a few lots that ended up getting bulldozed once I was not all loopy from my meds I wondered what the heck I had been thinking. BUT I did however come up with a couple of winners! Once of which is going to be a mansion that I'll have ready very soon. The winter has been making it much more difficult to create.......I'm looking forward to when spring TRULY gets here.......then I'll hopefully not have such a hard time making things that still look nice but in much lesss time. ;) I've had ideas out the wazoo for both lots & walls........now I just need to feel good enough to be able to get them done. :P

Uh...okay, spent two days on this...my very first furniture mesh set for TS3 that evolved from actual furniture! I'm getting together the previews for the items, and hopefully I'll have it out for download within a day or two.

The Sims 3: Gems!
Gems
The most lucrative gems are found all across Sunset Valley. Here are some gems. And be aware that the price varies depending on the weight of the gem.
Aqua: 21 Simoleons
Smoky: 25 Simoleons
Emerald: 30 Simoleons
Ruby: 35 Simoleons
Yellow: 60 Simoleons
Tanzanite: 95 Simoleons
Diamond: 200 Simoleons
Special: 350 Simoleons (Special gems are found along the coastal road leading outside of Sunset Valley to the east, down from Crystal Springs).
Rainbow: 700 Simoleons (Can be found near Summer Hill Springs, among the cliffs between Pinochle Pond and Fort Gnome Military Base as well as along the cliffs by the beach).
Pink: 1,650 Simoleons (Pink gem can ONLY be found in one place, and that is at the starting of the cliffs on the eastern part of the beach. Can only be accessed from the road above, where the bistro is located).

The Sims 3: SEEDS!
Finding Seeds
Highest quality seeds are mostly found around Pleasant Rest Graveyard, towards the Goth household, and more towards the town (On the opposite side of the graveyard).
Seeds are placed all around Sunset Valley. Here are some locations:
Outside of Pleasant rest Graveyard, cliff lining the ocean water (In between house lots), behind the market, movie theater and bookstore, Central Park, science facility, behind most homes in Sunset Valley, and more! Most lucrative seeds are found in places that are hidden.
Omni Plant
The Omni Plant can be fed anything -- Fruits, veggies, fish, even books! Every time you feed it, the plant will duplicate the amount you fed it. It is not a specified plant like the Death Flower, it grows and duplicates what ever you feed it.
Life Fruit
Life fruit extends you lifespan -- That is all.
Death Flower
By eating the Death Flower, it buys you time from the Grim Reaper, like Life Fruit. If you have eaten the Death Flower, and should your Sim be on the verge of death, the Grim Reaper will not take you. *If you have the "Unlucky" trait, and you die, the Grim Reaper will not take you, thinking that it was a part of your "luck".

Getting Going Again
After getting hit with spring allergies unexpectedly and dealing with that I've gotten back to work on my numerous projects. The doors are taking longer because I've discovered the double doors need to be tested thoroughly in the game. A cursory examination had them looking and working great, but after playing the game for awhile they started flickering. I have no idea why, but I'm now cloning from a different set and will see how that goes.
The Souvenir Mugs are finished and I am half way through making some #1 Dad, The Man, Boss Lady, etc ones as well. Trying to think of one more theme so I can make a set. hm...
But what's really got my attention is making jewelry. Now that I understand how CAS items work, seems thats all I really want to make *lol* Am working on a necklace for my boys. The string part is done, just need to make some small adjustments, finish the pendant and then figure out the bone assignments (which will be the hard part, very time consuming).
The Sims 3: Fish Value

Largemouth Bass: 33 Simoleons
Jumbo Largemouth bass: 61 Simoleons
Catfish: 49 Simoleons
Rainbow Trout: 87 Simoleons
Jumbo Catfish: 124 Simoleons
Jumbo Rainbow Trout: 221 Simoleons
Golden Trout: 518 Simoleons
Basically every pond in Sunset Valley has fish; you know this by looking in the water, and finding objects that are moving. Sims with level 2 fishing skill can inspect water, and a warning will come up telling you what fish are in there. Most are unknown if you're not a highly skilled fisherman. If you read more books and fish a lot, you will be able to identify these "unknown fish".
Fun things you can find in the water besides fish are:
Mood Lite Candle, Death Flower, Bubble Bath, Rubber Ducky, Laptop, Birthday Cake, Guitar, Money Tree Seeds, Flame Fruit, Mysterious Mr. Gnome (There are actually different types of Gnomes. All I know is that there is a sleeping Gnome as well).

New set
I almost completed this set. It´s a office with 8 new meshes (one in five different heights). So now it´s just some small fixes and then I can submit it! ;) Hope you´ll like it..
Nearly the 'Efteling'!
Dear all,
Most you of you will probably not know what the Efteling is. It's a Dutch amusement park that's mostly focused on fairy-tales. I'm Dutch, and right now we have a holiday and we are in our holiday house in Holland, but we do live in England. If you want to know, we have lived in Holland, Japan, Iran, Cyprus and now England. If my dad gets a promotion we will probably be moving to California!! Anyway, that's not the point. Because the Efteling is quite far away, we are going to a hotel tonight where we will be leaving tomorrow morning to go to the Efteling.
Second, I would like to make a special mention to shaml_sim, who writes great stories such as Someone Special and Hidden. She has kindly written in my guestbook and has written various interesting blog posts too.
That's all for today, I will be posting again on Tuesday because I won't have a computer with me tonight or tomorrow.

Some Really Bad News
Well I woke up this morning and thought that's do a couple of chapter for Forgotten Redemption. Computer loaded up and I noticed that my Sims 2 short cut wasn't on the desktop. I remembered that mum had been working on my computer yesterday to defrage it and get rid of some of the bugs. Anyway so then I checked the programs file and it wasn't there. After a lot of searching I realised...
The Sims 2 had been uninstalled off my computer along with the last Forgotten Redemption chapters and downloads!! I asked mum if she did anything and she said she didn't. She checked it out and thought she may have accidently uninstalled it. At first I was mad at her but now I'm not, 'cause it was an accident. Still, there goes al my Sims 2 stories and families. Worst thing is that I had so many downloads that I can't remember where I got all of them from, which means that all the stories I said were coming out are cancelled :(
So, I'll see if I can get my hands on The Sims 3 and see if I can recreate some of the stories in there...
Until then, no Sims.

Old World Completer Set - Part 1
Part 1 (of at least three) of my Old World Completer Set is completed, uploaded, and will be available for download as of tomorrow. This project keeps growing by leaps and bounds - it started out relatively small, but with all the variations I've thought of so far, has become pretty darn huge. To the point that I've abandoned my original plan of releasing it all at once, and am releasing it in chunks.
This first part is all of the windows and doors I've made based on the Old World Large Window. The additional parts yet to come will be based on the Old World Small Window and the Old World Door.
There are a total of 37 windows, doors, and archways in this first part of the set, so you can get pretty creative with it right off the bat.
Wardrobe finished
It wars a very hard work for a meshing newbie like me, but my first furniture set for halls is ready to be published.
The Sims 3 or The Sims 2?
The Sims 3 or The Sims 2!?
Hi everybody, I currently play and create for the Sims 2 only. For a while I have been thinking about getting the Sims 3, but from what I've heard it's really not much different from the Sims 2. It's a little annoying to have bought all these Sims 2 expansion packs and then let them totally go to waste. I'm not sure if the Sims 3 is actually worth the $60.00 bucks it's being sold at.
What do you guys think? Sims 3 or Sims 2?
I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

I am so gutted that 5 of my properties were rejected.
I've deleted what the reasons where now but it referred to all 5 properties.
I don't understand really, as i have used other peoples windows and doors in my second property which hasn't got rejected.
Maybe it was the external wall, flooring and grass that i used as they were not Maxis's own.
Oh well never mind :-(

Hi everyone,
This is my first post even though I've had my TSR account for a long time... About a bit more than a month I think. I have downloaded a lot of stuff, and I can tell you that I love every single piece of CC that I have added to my game. Everything I have is easy to download and works great!
My favorite creator is Newsea. Even though she has a limited number of free CC to download, it's all really good. So a special ''thank you'' to Newsea.
TSR, with it's CC, has made me love the Sims even more. Now that I know that it isn't impossible to get hair and clothes that makes Sims look like angels, I have written a few episodes of ''Abby's Dream Makeover'' on TS3 website, so feel free to add me and read (and recommend) my stories there. My username is FantasyPearl, like my username here.

Hard Drive Crash!
I had a complete hard drive crash, and lost everything! One consolation to it is that I knew exactly where all my favorite Sims2 creations were! How wonderful to have them all in one place, now just to start downloading like mad and get my game back in order!!
Riverview Revamp
Good morning, and happy Saturday to those who are off!
I've decided to replace Riverview's families and homes with characters of my own. I made a spreadsheet for character names and themes. It's quite customizable, organizable, and pleasant-to-the-eyezable.
Riverview has a ton of gardening, and I'd like to keep that theme; there will be plenty of hippies. If you were going to upload your new World's families for play, would you package them by Sim or by household?

Story Update
Hey fellow simmers,
Just stopping by to say that i'm working on the final chapters of the two stories that i'm doing at the moment: Escape from Paradise and Good Vs. Evil. They're both going to be extra long! The only problem is trying to find the time to finish them off, but it shouldn't be long.
After these stories are finished I shall submit a new one for all you of to read and tell me what you think! I've got a couple of chapters of the story completed and ready to be submitted and the rest of it the story is already written up all the way to the end. Which I've never done before. It's fun you know, to know how it all turns out. There's 14 chapters all together! and I can't wait for you all to read them.
So I must now be off now, to write, to take snapshots, and to send my legacy sim to prison! Their lives have been far too easy lately, and it's about time for some hardships; and if you think about it, the longer you spend as a criminal, the closer you become to getting caught. So because Dastan didn't change his career when he got married, now he must go to prison. His poor wife and baby will be left alone. Hmm...maybe I'll move in his wife's mother. Yes that'll work. Anyway I shall upload some snapshots of my legacy family!

A few people have been asking me about where I get my hair from. I actually found out where to get hair from asking other TSR submitters. These are the free sites that I frequent: www.xmsims.com and www.roansims.com. Also, you can sometimes--though rarely--get good hair if you download the sims off www.sims2.com. I hope you appreciate the free hair! :)
p.s. if anyone else knows where to get good free hair, please feel free to comment.
New Eyeballs - Eeks Bifocals Oh My
One of my employees is on leave this month due to shoulder surgery, the young college student that is trying to cover for him is doing and excellent job, until he accidently placed a box of parts ontop of my glasses.. snap! Now admittedly they probably shouldn't have been laid down in the middle of my desk, but I hate trying to stuff them inside of safety glasses when I have to be in the shop.
Anyhow, I made the appointment with the eyedoctor dutifully and headed into his office for new frames. Lovely, someone misfiled me and they cannot locate my 20 year old files, must have been too thick for their new filing drawers! Fill out all new forms and wander in for the tests.
Dr. Y grins when he is done and says "I have some good news and some bad news, the good news we have the contacts you need for your perscription right here. The bad news is that your eyeglass perscription is totally different. Miss J.. it's time for progressives!"
Argh.. bifocals.. NOOOOOO!
I Love my contacts, I can see, it's wonderful, they are terrific, but I cannot wear them at work. I picked up the new glasses a few hours ago, and oh boy this is going to be interesting to get used to. Look down to read report, look up to enter into database, dizzy for a few moments weeeee!
New patterns comeing this weekend, but please forgive me if they are a bit.. wavy or something. I am going to blame it on the new eyeballs!

WHY HELLO HARDDRIVE CRASH D:
And I thought it wouldn't get worse!
Since I had several laptop crashes I thought about using an external harddrive for my personal files, and luckily mom gave me one for a 'congratulations on being a Senior' gift.
so yeah, I pretty much had ALL my sim stories in MS Word format saved there - yes the very backbone and plot of everything D:as well as my Gay Comics/Manga, Artwork, School files, etc. And then it happened.
Freakin baby sister had to drop it to the floor @_@ and crashed it - literally! My files were saved - fortunately. EXCEPT FOR ONE.
THE LORELEI FOLDER.

guess I have to rewrite.

Back to business
I got so annoyed with not being able to use costum content for the sims 3 before so I stayed away from the game and TSR for about four months but now I'm back and i just remade 18 creations so they will work with the new patches and all.
I'm gonna test my things in-game now and hopefully they will work. At least the EA launcher now says that the things are installed so I'm optimistic. Hurray pessimist-Cindy for being optimistic!
13 paintings will be uploaded, three swimsuits (wich I think look aweful but there's always someone who will like them), a jeans skirt and a cardigan.
I think dresses are the most fun to make so I will probably do at least one in the near future.
I should be studying at the moment because the swedish SAT are on saturday but it's just too boring. I'll probably have to make those dresses after saturday. After the test I have all the time in the world to make things for the sims.

Lady Gaga - Telephone outfit
Well, last night i worked for about 3 hours making an outfit from Lady Gaga's brand new video 'Telephone'. The outfit is the police tape outfit. It is by no means perfect, and if I had the time, I could make it 10000 times better. I am in the process now of taking pictures, testing it ect so I will probably upload it later today. This is my favourite thing I have made on Sims 3 so far (Well, maybe my Union Jack dress beats it :P) so I hope you will like it. I will try and post a picture in my screen shots for you!
