Just a big thanks to everyone who has been downloading my stuff and for all the wonderful comments people have left me. It has brightened each day ....and especially since I have been a little stressed lately ( my hubby injured his back seriously @ work recently and has been in pain and I have been running to and fro from work to dr.s appointments , xrays etc PLUS working full time, taking care of all the kids , the puppy and our other pets and our housework and doing all the errands... i am a lil frazzled!)I have yet to figure out recoloring of other peoples CC meshes in SimPE and am usually too tired to try @ night. Its easier for me to just keep doing what i already know .. which is recoloring maxi stuff. S again thank you.....it all encourages me to keep creating!! And if anyone has the time to pm me and walk me thru a step by step of recoloring cc meshes that would be terrific.As well any info on recoloring clothes in Body Shop would be appreciated too!As i mentioned in my last blog entry re: cc meshes in SimPE.. i can now click on texture and build DDS but it still isnt showing up in my game.. i have walked over the steps in the tutorial i mentined and i have no idea why it wont work. I am missing something!!Obviously.....PS I have 2 new starter houses uploaded and coming out by the weekend or so.. plus about 15 AquaPlus shower curtains...working on more sofa recolors, some bathroom and kitchen recolors, more beddings, new wallpapers, more stained glass doors.. lots of stuff in the works!
Downloading Lots...a reminder...
Here's a quickie way to be POSITIVE you will get that lot you really want!
First thing's first - If you are new to downloading here on TSR, or downloading in general, I would suggest reading these helpful tips and tricks:
Installing Sims 2 Custom Content
Here's what it says about downloading lots:
"Residential & Community Lots
When downloading packaged Residential and Community Lots you will get a file ending with .Sims2Pack. Simply save this file anywhere that you will be able to find it (My Documents for example), then browse to the file using Windows Explorer, and click on it to install. A popup box will appear asking if you wish to install the package. You can also refer to the Sims 2 manual for details on installing .Sims2Pack files."
Using the Sims 2 Pack Clean Installer is even better for installing lots, and seems to have less problems than the game installer when it comes to ensuring a clean upload to your game. You can Google the Clean Installer...it is a free download!
My advice is this:
1 - Be sure you have all the EPs necessary to download the lot.
2 - Download the lot using the ZIP file button (the green arrow). DO NOT open directly from the site. Some browsers and firewalls can corrupt the file in transit. To prevent this, ALWAYS save a file to your computer, and then open it from there instead.
3 - Save it to your computer somewhere easy to find.
4 - Open the ZIP file and extract the Sims2Pack file into the same folder.
5 - Once it is extracted, you can either double-click on it to install it, or use the Sims 2 Clean Pack Installer to install it.
6 - Make SURE you have checked the Show Details page for any lot you wish to download. This is because sometimes Notes or Installation Instructions may be necessary to get your lots to work. If there are, PLEASE follow them! Instructions are usually not written unless they are absolutely necessary.
Go to your lots bin that has lots that are already built, and scroll through them. Sometimes new lots will be at the beginning of your list, and sometimes at the end. PLEASE check the whole list before informing me that the lot isn't in your game.
If it is a BEACH lot:
1 - Follow the installation instructions for any beach lot you download! They are there for a reason!
2 - Try reading this short tutorial by myself on beach lots and how tricky they can be: The Hidden Rules of Beach Lots
ONE LAST THING - If despite your best efforts, and after doing all of this stuff, it still hasn't worked, it may well be just a server "hiccup". They do that sometimes. Wait around 5 minutes, and then try downloading it again the same way. At this point, if it STILL hasn't shown up in your game PLEASE...BY ALL MEANS...PM me! I want to know if one of my lots is having troubles so I can fix it! Thank you SO much for your support and feedback. :D

Info about my sims
All of my sims(except ones with my own skintones)after my touched by an Angel series feature Xandher's Eden skintone in the preview image only.I think my sims that I created look alot better with Xandher's skintone.Of course I package them with Maxis skin.For a more realistic look I would reccomend downloading Xandher's Eden skintone set #4 when you download my sims.You can change the skintone of a sim after you already placed them in the CAS by simply clicking on the skintone of your choice(many of you already know this, but for the ones that don't I thought I would let you know).The hair that I use most in my preview images is Myos female hair #14 from http://www.simsartistsunion.com.This really is a very beautiful hair, I would reccomend downloading it, just to have in your game.Also if it says in my download that a certain expansion pack or stuff pack is required, it is not really required, only if you want to see the clothing or hair on the sim.In other words If you download something that says glamour life stuff requried for the outfit, and apartment life required for the hair, even if you don't have glamour life or apartment life, you can still download it and will work in your game, but it will be replaced by Base Game hair and clothing.Extreme Withdrawal
Well, my gaming PC (Which only held Sims 2 AND ALL ITS EXPANSIONS AND STUFF PACKS has bit the dust, so until I can have it repaired or buy a new one, I will not be creating anymore clothing or houses.Do I need to say that going from playing every day -since Sims 2 was released- for eight hours or more, to playing none at all, has been EXTREMELY difficult? (Chews on Leg)
I see no repairs or new PCs in my future due to many personal reasons, but hopefully I will be back in time for Sims 3- if not before!

Finally got my minisite! Woo hoo! But it's not working like I wanted it too LOL I guess it takes a little bit for the menu to be added.Clematis !!!

I Don't Have
Anything really inportant to say. I've made some creations recently that will get published this weekend. (I submit them on Thursday for approval and they usually get published Saturday, which gets them the most downloads because more people get on TSR on the weekend. Now you know). Anyway, so over Thanksgiving break I'll churn out some more creations.In the nonSims world things have been uninteresting and nondescript. My school had a formal banquet, marching season sadly ended, we had concert season auditions, exams are looming, pre-calculus is DEATH(so is Anatomy and Physiology), I campaigned over 20 hours for my perferred candidates. See, nothing exciting.

I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to answer my previous poll, it's proved very helpful in knowing what sort of thing people are looking for in their custom content.I've added a new poll today which is related to the first one. This one is asking you all about your custom content habits and whether or not you prefer lots to have CC included or not.
I make Maxis only lots and recolours of Maxis items because I like to think anyone would be able to download what I've made if they liked it.
But, I am thinking about venturing into the world of CC thanks to the amazing artists in the TSRAA who have given their wonderful creations for lot builders like myself to use freely on this website.

I was taking a short break from uploading my Texture Challenges, but I have now uploaded TC113, 114 and 115 so they should be published shortly. Tc 113 is a Thanksgiving Dining set, with meshes by MTcakes here at TSR. The textures were provided by Tambriah. TC114 is a cottage living set, meshes by 4ESF and textures by Midland_04. TC 115 is my rustic bathroom set, meshes are at avalon and textures by Tdyannd. Be sure to look out for them :D
Even more tracksuits!
I realized I hadn't made my sportswear available to all ages, so I made some more of them (teen to elder). I also tried recoloring the Uni tracksuit, but in most cases it just looked cheap. The red one turned out really nice, though, so I'm uploading that one. I guess sportswear is kind of my trademark? ;-)Unfortunately, I haven't been to the gym myself all fall. I've been sick most of the time - stress related, I guess. But at times there is simply nothing you can do about it, other than just hang on...
Minor Update!
The Vintage Charm Floral Door Mesh is updated. I notice a minor problem with the door's south wall shadow, it was not properly aligned with the door.The problem was only noticeable at a certain angle. But, it "bugged" me!!! Lol, the shadow is now correct, you can get the updated package here,

A Little Bit of News
At the moment I am trying to convince the "Spring Cleaners" to change my username to Kattzyze. I have actually been begging them to do that for a couple of years...and whatcha wanna bet they don't - its probably waaaay too much of change! Anyway, since I'm about to be laid off my job around the 1st of the year, I will have a little more time to devote to my creative pursuits, which will definitely include some Sims2 creating projects. In February when Sims3 comes out, interest in Sims 2 is going to slow waaaay, waaaaay down. But I think people like me, whose video card won't be quite up to par, will still be hanging on to Sims2, until such time we get a better VC. Anyway, Sims3 will bring some changes to how custom content is made and shared.BAD NEWS: My laptop is not working AGAIN. LOST ALL MY FILES
Hey guys...so sorry to keep you all waiting... the thing is, my laptop recently broke down and I lost all my files. We are trying to find a way to recover all those precious files... please bear with me. I expect to be publishing new lots soon!

I recently read an article by Numenor on Object creation and object workshop in SimPE. My goal was to learn how to recolor meshes OTHER than Maxi. I thought I had it figured out.. and so i went to recolor the Holy Simoly Arizona Sofa ( just love that sofa!) I have a gazillion ideas for it! Do you think it would turn out? NOPE. Wondering why i cannot click on pic texture in SimPE and click Build DDS .. i am ticked off and frustrated. Grrrrrrr...Poll results: You'd rather die than wallpaper a room!
With 160 responses, I think it's time to close this poll and tally the very interesting results.I thought it was particularly fascinating that a significant majority of you would forego eternal youth and an infinitely renewable lifespan in order to be able to redecorate with your mouse. Looks like the Oil of Olay people need to rethink their marketing strategy.

More sets
So.. i made a bunch of sets of recolored shower curtains and also i just uploaded a dozen stained glass door recolours.. I didnt put those in a set though. The shower curtains are for the cheap single shower and I liked some of the curtains so much that when i get some time this weekend i will make the same curtains for the other two showers. I am also lookig forward to the weekend .. when i am not exhausted.. so i can start recoloring other peoples meshes. I have ideas for Holy Simoly stuff and Yggdrasils Fluffy couch! keep an eye open for those shortly! :)I know it�s been a long time since my last update and I�m sorry, but, by the moment, I still cannot make more creations. I�m very busy �cause I�ve started working with an investigation team and I�m still studying, so I have no free time. I�ll try to finish my next set next week (maybe 2 weeks), and make another one for Christmas.

You guys just weren't thrilled with my Cozy Cottage series, so I've cut it short. But that begs the question... what do you want? More of my Affordable Homes, or Luxury homes, or other kinds of Lots? I am working on more rugs as well, by request. More to come, as always! -- SaraHoles!
Have you ever noticed that sim houses are...well, perfect? They never have holes in their drywall, they never have cracked stucco...perfect! Now, one can certainly change that - there are lots of wallpapers one can download to fix this, for example, MsBarrows' lovely crumbled plaster and shoddy brick sets. http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/MsBarrows/downloads/sims2/walls/ However, that requires having a different wallpaper for each color of trashed texture, etc. That's a lot of wallpaper! This is where I come in. I needed a hole in a wall for a story I'm doing...do you think I could find what I wanted? Of course not! I went kvetching about this to the download finding queen, MsBarrows, and she suggested that I make one, perhaps using linegud's lovely Stencillissimo mesh. So I did.
Sorry 'bout the headache, Buzz, it's for a good cause!
And then I, being unable to do anything halfway, went a little nuts with it, looking for pictures of holes. And the Well-Beaten Walls set came out of it. They are two-tile paintings that can be placed on any wall to trash it up! The various holes look better on some textures than others - the ones on the top part of the picture below are really meant to go on exterior walls, while the bottom ones are meant to go on interior, but hey, if you download them, go wild. Trash up the place!

I've had so much fun playing around with the H&M meshes - I love the footwear and accessories - and Autumn is possibly my favourite season with its wonderful colours and atmosphere. I've tried to make all the outfits in this collection as warm and practical as possible, without compromising on style. This set contains my second item of outerwear - I converted the vest of what was really a summer outfit into a cosy fleece waistcoat and added a sweater underneath. I'm quite pleased with the result.
