Collection Files

I had never understood how to make Collection files until DOT explained it all to me yesterday. Thank you, DOT! So now I have created and uploaded a football jerseys collection file as part of American Football Jerseys Part 6 as well as with the updated American Football Jerseys Superset. I have also uploaded a kilts collection file to my Kilts Superset. This collection includes my recent set of contemporary kilts. For those of you who are not entirely clear about what collection files are, they are simply small files which contain links to related items to make them easier to find in your game. They don't contain any actual skin or object files. If there are any other collection files you think would be useful for any of my items, please let me know.

Seaside Cottage Series

Oh, yes ... I have started a new series! I am not sure how many lots will be included in this yet ... it depends on how things flow ... time, etc. Here are 2 preview pictures to prove to you all ... I am still here and breathing, lol! This series will have a 'beachy' feel to them and all in pastel tones ... no old trashed houses in this series ... at least I don't think so. I will start uploading in a week or two .... still moving somethings around in the lots.

This will be the next series of lots I will be releasing... I will start uploading them once I finish all lots in the series...

I am doing a new modern series this time.... but only on small to medium sized modern homes... so be on the look-out!

Didn't make the cut.

I find there is a lack of interest in chateau style homes. So I decided to discontinue building the following houses.(see pics at the end of this post) The first one, I just totally lost interest in. I now have a stockpile of at least 20-25 of reject houses that just didn't make the cut! I've been finding myself with bad cases of builders block lately and I just can't produce houses as quickly anymore or even inspired to build in that mater lately...I'm starting to ponder my future here at TSR. Anyway, I won't go there just yet! I'm still working on some clothes - things are starting to look good there! My last house for my 'Grand Estate Collection' will soon be ready. I would like to finish up that series.

Recolors! Recolors! Recolors!

So, I currently have 116 pending creations. I have 115 total published! That's insane! I've doubled my creations in a week! That's got to count for some kind of award, I think. xDD

NEW & Updated Exterior Colors

I have replaced 14 colors with completely new ones, and I have updated Chocolate and Plum Brown by lightening them up a bit. I could have put it up for a vote, however, because of the sad turn-out of the last poll, I made an executive decision. I hope you will like the new ones. Enjoy! and have an AMAZING day!

Free Time is Out Today!

Hello, everyone! I just bought Free Time today and will be checking it out for awhile. I also wanted to mention that I haven't been doing any recolors for the past few weeks, and that's because I've been redecorating my home in real life. I do have a victorian bedroom recolor that I've been trying to finish for upload and I hope to get it finished by this weekend. Since the new EP was just released, it may be a bit before I jump back into doing many recolors. But I don't plan to EVER stop doing recolors:) Happy Simming!!

FIXED Curved Staircases

Ok, this is my first fix since I became an FA. I was wondering when it would happen. Not IF, but WHEN, since I try so many new things that I often mess up everything. But until now I was so lucky to be able to clean up everything before release or to hide the proof under the rug.

This time someone told me that pets weren't able to use the staircases. After some investigation I discovered that it was completely my fault (well, I knew it even before investigating).
I don't play so much with pets, and when I play, I keep everything they need on first floor. So I didn't realize that they have four legs instead of two and that they need more space than Sims to use the stairs.

The good news is that I've fixed the problem and updated the stairs. Both meshes will be free to download for a few days starting from tomorrow, just in case your subscription has expired. Please download them again and overwrite the old ones. The links to get to them fast are:

500,000 Downloads! WOW!

I am again very shocked to find that I finally crossed the 500,000 mark! Wow... all this in less than a month... so far, this has been my best month and quite shocking really is because I submitted very few creations this month but still.. wow... my eyes are popping out of their eye sockets!

Thank you so much to all those who have downloaded and/or commented on my stuff, and to all those who inspired me to keep on creating! I am sooo happy!

Now, if my calculations are correct, I need 400 more creations and 5 more months before I reach the biggie million... hmmmm...

LOL

Decision--A long post, but stay with me...

I've decided to fast track my Manor House Collection. Based on the poll I conducted several weeks ago, it seemed most people wanted me to work on other projects while slowly completing the Manor House Collection.

However, I've started feeling like there are fewer and fewer simmers in the community and the game has lost some of its steam. I still love creating, but I see the writing is on the wall here: the game's popularity has been on the decline.

Maxis has already begun work on The Sims 3, and I don't want to take another 8 months to get the MH sets out when I don't know what the simming landscape could look like by then.

SO, the two projects I would have worked on (a kitchen set and a window companion set to the Pedimentary doors), will now be placed on the back burner while I focus all my energy and talents on the MH sets.

I have that one mini-set made up of the unsatisfactory pieces from the MH Parlor set, but after that, I'll be releasing the first of the Manor House Collection sets (which I believe will be Garden set).

I'm still dealing with school and work and everything else under the sun, so I cannot say when the first MH sets will appear, but it definitely will be in the next few months.

American Football Jerseys Set 6

I've been asked many times to make more American football jerseys so here is my sixth set of four jerseys, all by request, for the following teams: Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams. My previous 23 jerseys can be found here: American Football Jerseys Superset. I will be updating this shortly to include the new jerseys.



As usual, these jerseys can be worn by adult and young adult males and use a standard Maxis mesh so they are base game compatible.

Civil War

Next due out: a slightly flawed Confederate Hat (with one backwards badge, due to an unfortunate mirror-imaging on the mesh). Still, I hope it helps all you eager Civil War re-enactors out there...

Working on Chapter 25

I worked on chapter 25 most of yesterday. I have it fully written and half of the pictures done. Unfortunately this week is going to be hectic at work with real strict deadlines so I'm not planning anytime to work on it. And my weekend is full of real life events. So in the worse case scenerio I can do work Friday night but I can't promise anything. Thanks you everyone for being so patient! I will be removing (Temporarily) all sets with broken MESH links

As the subject line says, I will be removing all my sets which currently have broken MESH links. This is only temporary, and when the MESHES come back online, I will repost all the sets with the new links. This will cut down on the confusion with certain sets.

This will mostly be affecting Car Paint Job sets. All of Tre Zillah's MESHES are currently offline, and Monkey's as well, so I will temporarily remove the Paint Job Sets associated with their MESHES.

I hope this helps, and makes things a bit easier when browsing through the items. :)

Sorry I had them up so long. I had them working again but they were down again soon after. I was also hoping for a quick recovery on the MESH side of things, but unfortunately, it will be a bit longer than I was hoping for.

Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! I can�t say thanks enough! I have reached a milestone at TSR and I owe it all to you! I have over 10 million downloads of my creations.

When I submitted my 1st creation on October 23, 2004 it was just a way to kill time while recovering from the flu, LOL! Well, I have not had the flu since, but I did discover a passion. I love creating objects for the Sims 2 game!

In addition, creating for Sims 2 has allowed me to be part of the Sims Community and the opportunity to meet a lot of wonderful, creative, and supportive people. Thank-you!

Oasi Living Room Recolor

I've also done one final recolor for the day, and that is of the Oasi Living Room by Norbi N.! I am surprised at myself today! I uploaded 28 new things today, and currently have 30 items pending!!!

Dirca Sofa Recolors

Tropical Patio Recolors

As you can see, I'm working on some recolors of sim_man123's Tropical Patio set, and waiting for them to be uploaded and accepted! Hopefully it will happen soon, so I can have some new sets for you all to download! =)

New Stuff!

Hey Guys,

I know i have been a little slow of late with not many updates. But i'm here to tell you that there will be some more from me in the next week. I have been working on some stuff today that i just need to take my screens of and then upload.

I am hoping that my Internet problems start to get sorted soon too. My Internet has been slowed at the moment as it says i have gone over my Usage. I've recently started playing Second Life and i have a bad feeling that it is because of that that i have gone over my limit. Answer: to increase my Plan. I have gone upto the next plan which means my Usage doubles. So hopefully that will also help my other Internet problems.

Anyway enjoy my updates and sorry i have been very slack lately.

I'm Back!

A little early, but that's alright. I will start uploading again very soon!

Finding things to do...

When I start swapping featured content around my minisite page, it's usually a sign of something else gone wrong: either a distinct lack of creating ideas, or lack of a creating PC! This time it's the latter. My PC has disappeared for a little upgrading holiday (it's innards are being transferred to a new case approximately the size of my 'Terbaine Towers' high-rise block of flats so that the searing-hot graphics card can stop being so asphyxiated by all the stupid wires entwined around it (and for anyone thinking of buying a PC where the power supply sits at the BOTTOM of the case, be warned)!

So, now that I cannot play The Sims, create for The Sims or do anything else Sim-related (I can't even download anything on this donkey of a PC I'm using now because there is no writable media drive - bah). I'm hanging on in miserable desperation to TSR to at least feel close to Sim things. And yes, you may well think this is very sad. So do I, and there we all are.

But I DO have new things coming your way soon (March). The swings (mentioned in my last novella) have been fully tested with a perfect result (and yes, the Maxis swings are still in the game too), so they're queued up for release, but I also have, by request, four new ceiling tiles for our very own Judi (JSF Designs) to match some very lovely wallpapers she's made.

And a brand new set of Alpine Windows - made for Illiana who needs some suitably triangular windows for her spectaular mountain lodge so I decided to give those a shot. The whole set will allow triangles of any size, with even and odd-numbered window widths possible - totally versatile in a range of colours (and with matching doors and rectangular windows too).

There will also be a very short and easy tutorial for those of you wondering how windows have been placed directly under that gabled roof! Illiana already knew how to do this, but in the hope that I am not the ONLY person in the world who didn't know how, this beginner's tutorial will show you how. Note that the technique doesn't work in the base game only though, so if you can, grab an expansion pack if you want to use windows directly under roofs!

Toddler Box Car

Finally a new uppload. I have been busy with real life problems lately. I am very happy to fianally have this car ready. The toddler can drive a little forward and then back and gain mecanical skills while playing. I made the drive animation myself.

Hair Recolors

Alright! The hair recolors are finally released! Thanks to everyone who is downloading them! I'm aware that no one really knows about me, but that's alright. Maybe someday they will, hehe.

I'm going to be working on releasing another recolor of that same hair, this time in a whiter version instead of the gray one that sim_man123 already has on it. So, be looking out for that!

Preview for kids clothing

This is a preview of a little set for girls I'm currently working on. I still have to do some changes at the animation of the new mesh, but the preview is finished. :) I will upload it in the next week.

Business Themed Prints

She's alive! Yes, I do apologise for the unannounced sabbatical - I've been making a lot of changes to my personal life and unfortunately, my Simming and creating has taken a bit of a backseat. But fear not, I have not completely abandoned the Sims community. :)

I've decided to get started on a little project I thought of when creating my business concept flags last year - business themed prints. Hopefully these items will fit in well with your community and secret lots, particulary with the new Freetime EP coming out next week. To start off this week, a set of 4 retro salon prints, which I unfortunately never got done for the SA Retro Theme in November so here they are now, better late than never.

Publish date is tomorrow, Sun. Feb. 24'08.

Whats upcoming next?

At the beginning of this week I was looking at my page. Realised I did create a lot of nice dresses & outfits for teens, the sweet little toddlers and girls. Shame on you Dirtdevill, you nectlected the poor little boys you spoiled the girls! He, he, lol! But anyway, it's just like I told you, there's not so much to "shop until you drop" at my page for the boys. So I decided to change that with a some fine new creations. This upcoming week I Welcome you all to the BoyzZone! Submitted today...

Retiring ...

Yes, it's true .... I am retiring as a Select Artist ... but I am not leaving TSR! I will still be uploading things now and then (probably quite a bit through the summer when I am on vacation) ... so nothing much will change.

Did you noticed the little silver icon next to my creations, which appeared on Feb, 19th? What o you think now? Yes, you're right, i'm a SA right now and i'm really happy about it... soooo happy^^

And i just wanted to say thank you to the people who made this possible, at first ulkrhsn and minzie for their help whenever i've questions, who don't care about how stupid my questions are :D

Secondly, i want to thank all the the people who write tutorials! Here at TSR and everywhere on the Internet! Without you i would not knowanything...

Over the top happy! I'm a SA!

Hey guys!

It's a real honour to be a SA. I am more than excited and happy... I log in like 10000 times a day to TSR, my favorite drug, and when I did today something was weird, then I saw all the warm comments and kind words in my GB. I realised: I'm a SA! Since I started to submit here I have always looked up on the SA's and FA's and could only dream to become one of them. I want to thank everyone for their support (especially Hiedi and Karie who were by my side from the start) and I can't wait to stand up to my SA title. I hope you'll enjoy my work from now on too!

Contemporary Kilts

This set was made in response to a request for a bottom-only contemporary kilt with boots, such as those worn by Placebo's Brian Molko. Finding a suitable mesh was a bit tricky, but thank you Rachel for tracking down GavlasCK's Pyramid Head Sim mesh. Although it isn't the perfect shape for a kilt, I think it worked out pretty well in the end. Here is what I came up with.



There are four kilts: tartan, jungle camouflage, plain black wool and denim. They come with four base game compatible Maxis-based co-ordinating tops so you can mix and match. All items are available for adult and young adult males.
